Centrebet Vic Peters Classic Set To Get Underway

Saturday's Vic Peters Classic heats (520m) at are set to see some of the Eastern seaboards best youngsters take to the track as they vie for their position in week two of the 1 series.

NSW National State Sprint Champion, Cold Fusion, is among the early market movers having drawn box one in heat four of the age restricted event.

With a personal best of 29.70 at the Glebe circuit, Cold Fusion is expected to progress to week two with ease.

Other notable runners include recent winner Mepunga Nicky (Race 7 Box 5), sub 29.70 Wentworth Park winners Spring Gun (Race 6 Box 2) and Mr. Clydesdale (Race 8 Box 1).

Recent Maiden event winners Gundabooka (Race 9 Box 8) and Flavours (Race 2 Box 8) will also line up in the heats after their feature event victories at and respectively.

The NSW expect the series to provide plenty of entertainment for race goers with four semi-finals to be conducted Saturday October 29 before the $75,000 to the winner final is held on November 5.

The November 5 Final will also see the running of the Bondi Rescue Cup, with the Bondi Rescue team as on the hit channel 10 show, in attendance raising money for associated charities.
