Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) today confirmed investigations were ongoing into the discovery of a foreign device at the Richmond racetrack with the capacity to interrupt the supply of electricity to the lure.
GRNSW Chief Executive Brent Hogan said once the device had been found Police were contacted.
The track electrician removed the device before the first race on Friday night and the meeting progressed as normal without incident.
GRNSW is cooperating with the Police with respect to its investigation of the matter.
