Divine Inspiration For Rockstar Image’s Record Run

Rockstar Image With Nick And Allan HealeyInjury prone sprinter Rockstar Image set a new track record for the 450 metre trip at Bathurst on Wednesday July 9 with a sizzling 25.70 gallop.

Having last use of the track the son of Big Daddy Cool and Twisted Angel claimed the final heat (race 10) of the Powerful Lee @ Stud series and will be a pronounced favourite in the July 16 final after drawing the coveted rails alley.

Trained by Allan Healey and son Nick, Rockstar Image carries great sentiment for the family having initially been a gift for Allan’s wife and Nick’s mother, Anne, who after a brief battle with cancer sadly passed away back in November, on the very morning Rockstar Image was due to make his racetrack debut.

Despite the tragedy the boys followed through with Anne’s wish to start Rockstar Image and after suffering early trouble the youngster staged a remarkable effort to salute sparking wild celebrations amid mixed emotions from the large contingent of family members in attendance as well as everyone else trackside who could not help but get caught up in the touching scenes.

After finishing a sound 3rd at his next start a week later Rockstar Image succumbed to injury and was off the scene for five months with the record breaking effort being just his third run back from the spell.

Given the youngster’s sensational run home time of 10.30 there is little doubt he will run out a strong 520 metres and the sky may well be the limit for this talented youngster and his proud connections.

Irrespective of what lays ahead, with just two wins under his belt Rockstar Image has already given the Healey boys their greatest thrill in racing.
