Golden Easter Egg Now Australia’s Richest Greyhound Race

The 20th running of the 2010 Group 1 Golden will now be recognised as the worlds richest free entry race, after the NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association (NSW ) and Greyhound Racing NSW () announced that the greyhounds will compete for $250,000 first place prizemoney.

, who earlier this year announced a strategic sponsorship alliance with Sandown Greyhound Racing Club; have signed on as the major sponsor for the based Golden carnival for the next five years.

in re-positioning the Golden .

“ is one of Australia’s fastest growing businesses and the NSW is excited at the opportunity to further build the company’s brand as we showcase what is now the richest event in the southern hemisphere,” explained Scott.

“The absolute cream of Australian Greyhound Racing will be coming to Sydney to compete and the benefits, both on and off the track, will be enormous.”

More than $350,000 in prizemoney will be won during the 2010 Golden series.
