Latchford Scores Big Moroney Memorial Win At Wauchope

Gelnreagh owned and trained Latchford scored a memorable ¾ length win to claim the rich Todd Moroney Memorial Mixed Final at the Beechwood Road track on Saturday.

Covering the 457 metres in 26.66, Latchford just beat home, evens favourite, Super Charlotte with just a half head to third placed Electro Diva, 7/2 from Brombin.

The second feature race was the Ausure Country Club heat which went to Foxtrot Lad, 4/1, by 2 lengths from Silent Brethern 5/4 (Beechwood) with 1 ¾ lengths to third placed Battler’s Best, 2/1 (Beechwood).The time was 22.27.

Racing got underway with the Greyhound Supporters Club over 384 metres.

Royal Rocka, 2/1on from the strong Maureen West kennels at Beechwood, scored by 4 ¼ lengths from Batti Bomber, 5/1, with a further 4 lengths to third placed Malabar, 3/1. The time was 22.20.

The Timbertown Service Station over 457 metres went to Gypsy Prince, 3/1, by ½ length from Wallamba Miss, 4/1, with 4 ¾ lengths to third placed Must Dash, 10/1. The time was 26.45.

In the Mark Strachan Apreciation Stake over 384 metres, Phil Junior 5/4, scored by 2 ½ lengths from Litchfield Park, 6/4 (Brombin) with 2 ½ lengths to third placed Skatty Like Mum, 4/1. The time was 22.05.

Wauchope’s Solve The Title, 5/2on scored a 7 lengths win to claim the Radio 2MC Appreciation Stake over 457 metres from Forgotten Son, 2/1 (Beechwood) with a ½ head to third placed Real Nikita, 2/1. The time was 25.56.

In the Blue Paws Stake over 384 metres, Snowy River Man, 6/4on, scored by 2 lengths from Hot Guarana, 2/1, with 5 ¾ lengths to third placed Joe Henry, 9/2. The time was 21.60.

Beechwood owned and trained George Jetson, 7/2 won the PFD Food Services Stake over 384 metres with a 3 ¼ length win over Alexander Mulwee, 6/4 with ¾ length to third placed Walkabout Light, 2/1. The time was 21.88.

In the Thompson’s Building Centre Stake over 384 metres, Awesome Libby, 6/4, scored by a neck from Mallaig Mohr, 3/1 with 3 ¼ lengths to third placed Nomad, 5/1. The time was 22.04.

In the Rocky Ridge Farm Stake over 457 metres, Sporty Ranger, 4/1, scored by 4 ¼ lengths from Zacavier, 6/1, with 2 ½ lengths to third placed Lexie Lane, 2/1on. The time was 25.94.

Beechwood owned and trained Future Virus, 3/1 took out the Dick Hillard Appreciation Stake over 384 metres with a strong 2 ½ length win from Mozzies’ girl, 5/2, with 2 ¼ lengths to third placed Missy Kumheer, 5/1. The time was 21.94.
