Lengthy Disqualifications For Dubbo Protagonists

The son of Hunter Valler racing and media personality Gary Harley, and one-time Turf Club Secretary Manager, , has been handed a six month disqualification for being involved in an “incident” at the Dubbo Greyhound meeting on Saturday 25th April 2009.

Thie incident has occurred during the famous Dubbo ANZAC Weekend Carnival which involves the club racing over the whole weekend with races set down for the , Saturday and Monday.

Quite bizzarely the two other combatants involved in the “incident” were both Dubbo Greyhound Club Officials; Neville Owers, a Club Official; and the Identification .

While it is impossible to know what occurred at the NSW do not publish or country , it is known that Harley had 2 greyhounds engaged in the meeting., with one winning and the other running second.

Yesterday NSW GHRRA Stewards finalised the into the circumstancess surrounding an incident between Trainer Mr. Troy Harley, Club Official Mr. Neville Owers and Identification Steward Mr. Phillip Wayne Bush which took place outside the kennel block at the Dubbo meeting on Saturday 25h April, 2009.

After consideration of all the evidence Mr. Owers, Mr. Bush and Mr. Harley were each charged and pleaded guilty to a breach of Rule 86(o) for .

After careful consideration on the matter of penalty, Stewards handed down the following :

  • Mr. Owers disqualified for 9 months from 25 April 2009
  • Mr. Harley disqualified for 6 months from 25 April 2009
  • Mr. Bush disqualified for 6 months from 27 April 2009

Mr, Owers, Mr. Bush and Mr. Harley were advised of their rights of Appeal.
