Littermates Sunshine Surf And Canford Cliffs Give Smith’s A Double

Speedy beginnings gave litter mates Sunshine Surf and Canford Cliffs the advantage they needed to win their respective races at Casino last Friday. Prepared by husband and wife team of Bill and Sheila Smith, Sunshine Surf began proceedings by scoring in the Cow 107.9FM Maiden, holding out Miss Mulgowie in a handy 23.31 seconds.

Rhythm and Grace took out the Tweed to Casino Final when she led throughout running 23.36 for Ron Mc Calman, and Late Debate ran the fastest time over the 484 metres (27.45) in winning the Buckingham Chuck Final.

In the other events, Flying Fatty scored by 3 3/4 lengths for ; Outreach was an all of the way winner for Gerrard Bowe in 27.65, and Golden Earing sent favourite backers home on a happy note running 23.09 in a 4 1/4 length victory.

Casino race again this Friday afternoon.
