The Dubbo Greyhound Club held a successful 11-race card on Saturday afternoon with the highlight being the final of the .

The 20th running of the time-honoured race was won by favourite Little James for Cowra trainer .

Little James was quick to begin from the two box to a winning break and the result was never in doubt scoring by a hollow 13-length margin when the judge called a halt.

The Alan Cleary-trained and the Bobby Hodges sprinter Amethyste finished second and third respectively.

The Ausure Insurance Brokers feature was won by local greyhound .

Don Ronneberg-trained flyer began like a shot from box eight to defeat a handy field and qualify for the final worth $1500 at on November 6.

Coonamble greyhound created a big impression when a smart 30.22s winner in race nine.

In a driving finish Winona Gold ( x Hayley’s Trinity) proved too good for Gaultier and Fresh Fantasy.
