Multiquip Bob Payne Spring Sprint Final

Following four heats of the Group 2 Multiquip Bob Payne Spring Sprint, a sensational final has been assembled for the $40,000 to the winner series.

The opening heat went the way of John Vanderburg trained, Penetrator, which picked up the lead from Transcend Time in the home straight to win by 2 3/4lenghts in 30.07.

Fastest heat qualifier Hoover Boy defeated red hot favourite Bye Bye Bucks in the second qualifier, to claim his position in next Saturday’s night feature. The Luke Azzopardi prepared greyhound putting together back to back wins at the Glebe Circuit and securing a personal best of 29.77 in the process.

After jumping moderately, heat three favourite Mr. Clydesdale did not disappoint followers, claiming victory over Street Boss, which made the most of the inside draw.

In the final run off it was Leeroy Rocker which led all the way to book the final position for next week.

Returning from a stint in Victoria, Leeroy Rocker validated the support received in betting winning by three lengths over Here Comes Kenny, which charged home late to claim second position.

Entry next Saturday night will be just $2, in celebration of Wentworth Park’s 25 year re-opening anniversary.
