Proven Maddy Fastest Qualifier For Bulli Gold Plate
Mark Azzopardiprepared Proven Maddy has qualified fastest for Monday’s Group 3 Centrebet Cyril Rowe Gold Plate Final, after winning his heat in 26.13 last night (January 21) at Bulli.

With four heats of the 472m feature being conducted, Proven Maddy was five tenths clear of fellow heat winners, Hoover Boy, Lochinvar Blanik and True Blue Ethics.

Proven Maddy’s victory in the final qualifier saw Azzopardi secure two positions in next Monday’s (January 28) $25,000 final, with Aston Caviar finishing second behind Lochinvar Blanik in heat two.

Thirlmere trainer Mark Gatt will also have two contenders in the Final, after Lightning Impact and Ritza Ryder both finishing second in their respective heats.

In form, Ritza Ryder, was an impressive run in heat three, running to within just one length of True Blue Ethics. The red fawn dog backing up just two days after competing in the Group 1 CentrebetPaws of ThunderatWentworth Park
