Tamworth Greyhounds Signal Move

NSW NCAA committee to develop a multimillion dollar racing precinct for says it has cleared the first hurdle.

Members drawn from the council, , harness and greyhound clubs say it has been confirmed all three codes will be able to fit their racetracks into the one facility in Taminda.

It will now prepare a feasibility study and business plan and develop a timetable for the project.

This announcement comes on the eve of Tamworths major race carnival for the year,The Carnival; which kicks off this Saturday with three outstanding heats of the Country Challenge Series over the 457 metres.

The $4,000 to the winner series set to culminate on Saturday May 3 has attracted some quality greyhounds including the return of last years Tamworth Cup winner who is a winner of 40 races including four wins from as many outings at Tamworth.
