Team Dailly dominates Group 1 Golden Easter Egg semi-finals

TEAM Dailly conquered at Wentworth Park on Saturday night, claiming three of the four semi-finals of the Golden Easter Egg over 520-metres.

The powerful Victorian kennel had Dyna Nico (box four) engaged in the first semi after gaining a start following the scratching of Bad Boy Sniper. The daughter of and Maple Bale was at double figure odds, with the odds on favourite being 's boom youngster Over Limit (box eight). Although Over Limit clocked a quick 5.41 early, he was no match for Dyna Nico's 5.30 first split, with 28 kilogram bitch bounding straight on the bunny. Over Limit managed to sneak into third spot down the back behind Dyna Nico and Zipping Midge (box three) but, despite making good ground, he was unable to reel-in the leader which clocked a fast 29.55.

Dyna Nico had not won since January when she saluted in The Collerson on Paws of Thunder night and she has now won 11 races from 45 career starts.

In the second heat, started the $1.80 favourite for ahead of dual Group 1 winner (box six). Drawn beautifully in box one, Dyna Double One delivered on the potential he has always promised, pushing up along the inside around the first turn and sprinting clear to score by a massive 10 length margin in 29.55. Ronray Spirit (box four) ran a strong race to finish second and book his spot in the decider. Dyna Villa was never in contention after an average start and finished well back in sixth spot.

Semi-final three was the only qualifier which didn't have a representative from the Dailly camp, but the Victorians still dominated. Recruitment (box one) and Hostile (box eight) started the equal $3.00 favourites and both were punching up for the lead in the early stages along with Zipping Abby (box seven), with the rails runner getting the upper hand. The three front runners fought out a tough battle throughout the race, but Deborah Coleman's Recruitment was too strong at the finish, scoring by one-and-a-half lengths in 29.60. Hostile ran a gallant second but unfortunately broke a hock just after the line.

The final semi-final was a wide open affair, with punter's settling on Derby winner (box five). Beginning flawlessly in 5.27, the son of Kelsos Fusileer and Chloe Allen was never headed throughout the event, reaching the line two lengths clear of Dawkins Bale in a of 29.34. Credit must go to the runner-up which ran a terrific race to clock 29.47 himself – its not too often you see a dog being beaten at Wentworth Park in that time!

Fernando Bale has now won 12 of his 17 career starts for trainer Andrea Dailly and will be one of the main contenders in next Saturday's $250,000-to-the-winner final.

That’s just disgraceful…..how can she still be allowed to train dogs……she has a runner in the Easter egg final as well…..this industry is a joke sometimes.

Totally agree she should have been sidelined until such time it was dealt with stuff like this brings the sport into disrepute . N the fact her runner has drawn boxs 1 in the egg n is a big chance she wins the uproar will be massive .
