West & McAlister Plunder Armidale

Greyhound Racing returned to Armidale on Saturday for a nine-race program, with the local trainers relatively unsuccessful. Only Uralla’s Michelle Shambler flying the flag for the local area.
Her dog Totalled took out race three.
Tenterfield’s Peter McAlister and Beechwood’s Maureen West both scored a double, while trainers from Theodore, Tamworth and Oxley Vale took the remaining spoils.
August is a busy month with two meetings scheduled on consecutive weekends – August 9 and 16.
RESULTS:
Race 1: Steelfarm Maiden, 365m, 1 TONGUESTER (4/1, Rosana Streatfield), 2 Dutch Harbour (3/1), 3 Marlow’s Boy (9/1).
Race 2: Armidale Bowling Club Maiden, 365m, 1 BLOOD SUGAR (5/1, David Howarth), 2 Danish Dynamite (5/1), 3 Scruffy Gaites (2/1).
Race 3: Armidale Fruit Market Appreciation, mixed grade, 365m, 1 TOTALLED (2/1, Michelle Shambler), 2 Gibbra (7/2), 3 Longway Bobby (4/1).
Race 4: Barry Mitchell Appreciation, grade B8, 365m, 1 KING’S MAN (2/1, Peter McAlister), 2 Carpet Man (4/1), 3 Run Mickey Run (5/2).
Race 5: Steelfarm Stakes, mixed grade, 440m, 1 PRIZED GEM (3/2, Maureen West), 2 Battle Brother (7/1), 3 Scotch and Coke (4/1).
Race 6: Armidale Express Stakes, grade 5, 365m, 1 LETHAL EAGLE (4/1, Peter McAlister), 2 Anorev Fiesta (5/1), 3 Mulwee Bye.
Race 7: Hardman’s Nissan Appreciation, grade 4/5, 520m, 1 CHAUFFEURED (3/1, Spence Storch), 2 Ride the Line (11/5), 3 Mel’s Princess (4/1).
