along with many other well performed banana benders.

The first heat is set to jump at 7:31pm.

Here is a look at some of the main chances in each heat;

Race 5 – Heat One – 2014 City of Ipswich Gold Cup – 7:31pm

The Rag Kay trained Happy Haswell (6) headlines a quality opening heat. The youngster has won 13 of his 18 career outings and four of his six starts at Ipswich. His personal best of 30.18 leaves him as the one they have to beat here. He tends to need a bit of room early but, should he get it, it will be all over.

Pace Ventura (2) comes to Ipswich for the first time with a good record. The recent Casino Cup finalist has a ton of early toe and could give them something to catch.

Miner's Moss (4) returned to form with a 30.61 win here on Monday. He is a winner of 27 races and can be devastating when at his best. His form has not been what it can be over the last month so he is one to take on trust.

Race 6 – Heat 2 – 2014 City of Ipswich Gold Cup – 7:54pm

winner Yogi Blue (7) looks to make it back-to-back successful Group campaigns here. The strong blue dog has won six at Ipswich with a zippy personal best of 30.28. He loves it out wide and should be tough to toss.

Skuzi (6) has won or placed at all of his last 10 outings. He has won six from 11 at Ipswich with a best of 30.56. He enjoys being off the track and gets his chance here.

Fearless Ruler (4) has won his last two here in style and has to be considered on his 30.59 effort two runs back. His biggest hurdle will be overcoming the squeeze box to put himself in the race.

Le Sirenuse (2) may not have been producing his best of late but he returns to a track he loves and is well drawn. He has won four from seven at Ipswich, including a 30.47 run. He could return to form here.

Outa Tempo (8) is rarely far away from the winner and will keep coming in this one. He is definitely one to consider for exotics.

Race 7 – Heat 3 – 2014 City of Ipswich Gold Cup – 8:13pm

produces another flying machine on the third heat via Tear Away Size (2). She is a winner of seven from 12 at Ipswich with a best of 30.21. Her inside form is impeccable and she looks like she will be a tough nut to crack here.

Exhibitionist (8) has had no luck with lately and is caught out wide again here but she has her share of ability. The Tony Brett trained bitch has a best of 30.33 at Ipswich and is a big show if she can cross by the post the first time.

Youngster Hopping Houdini (3) has the runs on the board and comes up against the big guns for the first time in his short career in this heat. In his short six-start career (all over this trip), he has won four and been placed second in the other two. He ran a personal best of 30.54 last Tuesday and gets an opportunity to show his wares here.

Hougenie (4) is a polished perfumer who has a genuine penchant for the Ipswich circuit. She has won six of her eight starts here and has enough pace to be prominent early. She returns back from a couple of handy efforts over the middle distances at and has also won over the sating trips. She has to be included.

Race 8 – Heat 4 – 2014 City of Ipswich Gold Cup – 8:37pm

Peter Ruetschi's ultra consistent bitch You Can Talk (1) is drawn to go very close in the fourth heat. She has won five from 11 at Ipswich with a best of 30.45. Her record from box one is imposing and she will try her heart out. She is a lock fro a top three finish and a huge winning hope.

Bill's Fantasy (8) comes off a close second to Yogi Blue in the Lismore Cup final and looks well drawn out wide in this heat. He had his only start at the track last time out, winning from box five in 30.61. He should be prominent early and right in it at the business end of proceedings.

Sonnet's Special has grown a leg in his last three starts which have been his only three career starts at Ipswich. He has won all three with a 30.66 effort his best. He rises in class here but loves the place so he has to be considered.

Last year's champion Regal Lauryn (4) makes her appearance in the final heat. Her form is way below her best with only two wins since her victory in last year's final. One of those was here recently over the 630 metre trip. She looks tested here.
