Queensland Greyhound Of The Year Finalists Announced

Bogie King, and He Knows Uno were today named as the three finalists for the title of 2011 Queensland .

It was a stellar year for Queensland greyhounds on the racetrack with a significant number of individual race winners and local greyhounds winning both the National Sprint and Distance titles.

Each of the three finalists produced outstanding performances during 2011.

Bogie King won the National Derby and the Group 2 , and was placed in the Group 1 Topgun.

Dashing Corsair won the Group 1 National Distance Championship, becoming the first greyhound to win both the National Sprint and Distance titles. He also won the Group 3 Big Dog Cup and Group 3 Superstayers, and was placed in the Group 1 and the Group 2 Wentworth Park Gold Cup.

He Knows Uno won the Group 3 Classic and Group 3 Rover Mowers Cup and was placed in the Group 1 , the Group 2 and the Group 1 .

The winner will be announced at the RQs Greyhound Awards night to be held at the Sofitel Brisbane on Saturday February 18, 2012.
