Super Stayers Final Invite To Be Anounced Thursday

The fourth and final invitee to the Hawkins Media Solutions Super Stayers race will be announced live trackside at Albion Park at 9.30pm on Thursday 26 June, just prior to the running of the Final of the Group One hawkinsmedia.com.au Laurels at Sandown Park.

Three greyhounds have already accepted invitations to compete in the Super Stayers. The greyhounds are:

• Chinatown Lad (Tasmania)
• Fallen Zorro (Tasmania)
• Nicely Done (Queensland)

The following greyhounds (in alphabetical order) are in contention for the final invitation:

• Bye Bye Bones (Victoria)
• Just Friends (Victoria)
• Gunnadoo Magic (Victoria)
• Kulu Spirit (NSW)

Bye Bye Bones is engaged in the Final of the Group 3 Big Dog QLD Cup at Albion Park on Thursday night.

Gunnadoo Magic and Kulu Spirit are racing in the Final of the Group 2 McKenna Memorial at Sandown Park on the same night.

Just Friends is not racing on Thursday night.

All four greyhounds in contention for the final invitation are high calibre greyhounds, with very little separating their performances during 2008.

The Hawkins Media Solutions Super Stayers will be run on Thursday 3 July 2008 at the Albion Park Raceway at Breakfast Creek and will carry prize money totaling $22,500 broken down as :

• 1st $15000
• 2nd $ 4300
• 3rd $ 2200
• 4th $ 1000
