Jeremy Turner has been appointed as a Director of Greyhounds Queensland Ltd.

Turner’s appointment was announced at today’s annual general meeting of Greyhounds Queensland Ltd (GQL).

Turner, 47, takes up the position vacated by Paul Felgate.

He is currently the chief financial officer for Queensland Motorways Ltd but has a long history in the racing industry having been director of finance for the Queensland Principal Club from 1997 to 2002.

He then became chief executive officer for Queensland Racing to May 2004.

GQL chair Kerry Watson welcomed Jeremy on to the Board of Directors and said she and her fellow directors Chris Williams and David Stitt were looking forward to working with him.

She thanked Paul Felgate for his devotion to his year-long directorship and the valued work he did for Greyhound Racing in the state.

GQL’s constitution requires any new director’s appointment to be announced at the AGM.
