Shared Equity qualifies fastest for Warrnambool Classic final

ANAKIE trainer Angela Langton is on track to claim another Classic Final, after Shared Equity ($1.10) was faultless from box one in semi-final one.

Pinging the lids from the inside alley, the daughter of and West On Bluebird was picturesque in her 10-length victory, recording a fast time of 25.00 over 450m. This 28kg classy chaser notched up her eighth career win on Wednesday from start number 13 and has a 100% strike rate at Warrnambool.

Nun Tron produced a solid effort moving from the tail of the field to finish second for Simon Barker, with fellow Anakie trainer finished third with her charge Lektra Outlaw.

Betting was evenly spread amongst the runners in semi-final two, with 's Exuberant starting the favourite at $2.70. Cosmic Lily from box six and Dashing Roman from the inside alley were best away at box rise, providing a great duel to the top of the home turn. Stop Moochin' was extremely brave in taking a tight rails run, checking Dashing Roman out of the contest. Stop Moochin's also fought off a late challenge from Cosmic Lily to score by a length in 25.55. Angela Langton's Lektra Utopia produced a huge run to finish third, after suffering several patches of interference in the early stages.

Dewana Result was the red-hot favourite in semi final three at $1.70, however he had to settle for second place after What's Chewing produced a effort to salute for trainer Kelly Bravo in 25.53. The son of Nitro Burst and Flush was taken off on the home turn and checked again halfway down the straight, but still managed to streak away by two and a half lengths. The favourite runner also had his fair share of bad luck in the event and produced a great effort to finish second and qualify for the final.

The last semi-final was another unfavourable result for punters, with Fearless John for Nicole Davis showing a great turn of speed once he hit the ground. This 36kg heavyweight took the lead from reserve runner Lektra Crash in the early stages and was victorious by three lengths in a time of 25.41. Favourite runner Ballerino made up a stack of ground from box three after being squeezed out in the early stages and deservedly earns a spot in next week's final.

With the completion of the box draw, it's expected fastest heat winner Share Equity will start from the inside alley as the odds-on favourite.
