Question Time Podcast With Ted Medhurst – Ask Your Questions

Saturday night is a huge night for , with his superstar sprinter Buckle Up Wes jumping from the red box in the Final.

We have managed to secure some time with Ted on Saturday night for another Question Time Podcast. This interview follows on from our Question Time Podcasts with Jason Mackay, Paul Wheeler, Jason Thompson, Rob Britton and Tom Dailly.

Ted's career began as a 17 year old back in 1976 and he has trained a lot of exceptional dogs over a long career. In recent times he has had one winners Belle Haven and Buckle Up Wes.

I asked Ted who his “favourite” dog was over the years and Blazenka's Flyer was the instant reply. Hearing Ted tell the stories from the late 80's was a real warm up for what should be an interesting and informative interview.

Can you ask Ted – can he quickly go through a general training regimen for a dog in work for a 7 day period if a dog was racing on a sat night say over 520m. I.e, how much galloping midweek ? What day would he trial or slip on and at what distance would that be over ? Does he walk his dogs on a walker ?
