Dyna Tron & Radley Bale Duo Aiming For Half A Million In Prizemoney In Group 1 Temlee

Duo Dyna Tron and Radley Bale – owned by the Wheeler family – will push their prizemoney to over $500,000 if either is victorious in the Group 1 Macro Meats Temlee over 525 metres at The Meadows this Saturday night.
Currently, only four greyhounds have managed to crack the half million dollar mark (High Earner, El Grand Senor, Rapid Journey and El Galo) in Australia, a number likely to change over the three-week Australian Cup Carnival at The Meadows.
Radley Bale – trained by Graeme Bate – is less than $6000 away from the magical mark after taking out the Group 2 Launceston Cup on Monday night. The son of Big Daddy Cool and Minkara Bale has drawn favourably in box two in Saturday’s Group 1 invitation-only event, lining up for his 98th race start.
The Andrea Dailly-trained Dyna Tron – recently crowned 2011 Victorian Greyhound of the Year – has yet to win a race in 2012 from three attempts, but cannot be discounted despite drawing box six in Saturday’s final. In a stellar run last season, the red brindle chaser took out the Geelong and Melbourne Cups and the Hobart Thousand in the space of seven weeks.
The night will also see the running of the Group 2 Macro Meats Zoom Top (725 metres) and the Group 2 Macro Meats Rookie Rebel, over 600 metres.
