Fallen Zorro & Connections After Her 2008 McKenna Memorial Win
Trained by Shane Whitney, Fallen Zorro won at her Sandown Park debut in a heat of the Radio Sport 927 Sandown Cup before running a close second to her litter-brother Chinatown Lad in the rich final.
She won her first feature in the Group 2 McKenna Memorial in June before going on to win the Group 2 Sir John Dillon in October and then completed her memorable year with a win in the Group 2 Bold Tease Carnival Cup on Schweppes Melbourne Cup night in November.

Fallen Zorro showed an affinity with Sandown Park, starting eight times at the Lightwood Road circuit for five wins and three placing and earning owners Colin Garrity and Terry Hasler $104,760. Her best time of the year (42.04) was the second fastest of the year and the eighth fastest ever over the famous Sandown half mile.
Fallen Zorro joins some of Australia’s finest ever greyhounds on the Sandown GOTY Honour Roll, including Boomeroo, Whisky Assassin and Betty’s Angel.
