GRV Pay Normal Travel Payments For Abandoned Meetings

Written By Monday 9th February 2009

The Healesville Greyhound Association’s and the Sale Greyhound Racing Club’s race meetings were abandoned yesterday due to the bush fire tragedy currently being faced in Victoria.

Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) has agreed to forward the normal travel payment to trainers engaged at both meetings in recognition of the difficulties experienced by trainers at this time.

GRV will distribute the travel payment to each trainer via the normal method of direct EFT on Thursday 12th February.

In respect to the Rod Thorneycroft Memorial heats that were to be conducted at the Healesville meeting, the club will endeavour to reschedule these events at a later date.

At this stage, both clubs are expected to race this weekend.
