He Knows Uno Breaks $400,000 Prizemoney Mark In AWM Distance Championship Win

The outstanding career of reached yet another exhilarating high after a brilliant come-from behind victory in the 2 AWM Distance Championship over 725 metres at on Saturday night.

The win takes He Knows Uno To 16th on the all time greyhound record prizemoney list, ahead of who is 17th, and the highest record prizemoney of the currently racing greyhounds.

The son of and Honeymoon's Over was last to leave after boxrise, but quickly used his racing smarts to find a forward rails position with a lap to run.

With litter sisters and Fyna Bale setting the pace out in front, He Knows Uno slowly began to wear down the pair before striding away to a 42.75 victory – his first over the half-mile trip at The Meadows.

Fyna Bale raced into second place, one and a half lengths away from the winner, while favourite Irma Bale ($1.70) finished third.

Trainer Mick Patterson was in awe of his charge's performance.

He Knows Uno has now won seven of his last eight starts, including victory in the in June at . Win number 30 from 66 starts pushed the black chaser's prizemoney to over $418,000 and he goes into the upcoming Distance Championship series as one of the greyhounds to beat.
