Sandown Greyhounds Hit For Six

Punters were red hot at Park tonight when the went off for the second time this month, and a record Jackpot BIG6 returned a dividend of more than $20,000.

With a jackpot in excess of $38,000 – the biggest BIG6 Jackpot ever on a Victorian greyhound meeting – the BIG6 pool reached in excess of $100,000. 's Kinka Bale took out the final leg, confirming a dividend of more than $20,000.

Meanwhile, all diners who booked and paid a week in advance for their night out had their money refunded when exciting middle distance chaser Decembrist became the third greyhound wearing the green number six rug to win on the night.

Punters who fancy runners in the pink also had a good night out with six greyhounds saluting from the pink box.

It was also a memorable night for leading Lara mentor Robert Britton, training an amazing four winners on the card. Marceri, Barrique, Philby and Symmetry completed the quartet, with a $1 All-Up bet on each of Britton's runners returning $1088.

Racing action heats up at Sandown Park in coming weeks with the third Solo Prelude series on Thursday 30 September ahead of the Superdogs, in October.
