So Seductive So Brilliant In Sir John Dillon Memorial Final

Star stayer So Seductive scored a stunning victory in the 2 Sir John Dillon Memorial at Park tonight, coming from last to claim her first feature race and stamp herself as Australia's most exciting stayer.

The even-money favourite was last after receiving an early check as Sitka ($15.50) raced to an early lead. With a lap to run, So Seductive was still a dozen lengths from the lead before making her move down the back straight, weaving her way through the field to find the lead on turning for home.

Second favourite Satanic Cash ($3.10), who dropped out to last when So Seductive began her move, took off around the field to a thrilling finish as he charged down the centre of the track. However So Seductive proved too good, defeating Satanic Cash by half a length in 42.20. Sydney-sider Slick Lee ($7.90) was impressive in finishing 2¼ lengths away in third.

The win was the 15th of So Seductive's 45 start career, but significantly was her seventh in eight starts over the ‘half-mile'. The $25,000 winner's took her career prizemoney to $84,050.
