Elektra Tackles Paradise Street Trophy Heats

Elektra Winning The 2008 Sky Channel Galaxy Final
If he brings his ‘A’ game the Linda Britton-trained Rapala Boy should be a shoo-in for the first heat.
The versatile chaser is the winner of more than $72,000 in stakemoney and 4 of 7 over this journey.
There are some doubts over the greyhound, however, after he spent the last month off the scene due to injury and his job hasn’t been made any easier by the fact he will also wear the pink rug.
Even so if his Satisfactory Trial performance on 30 June is any indication, where he scorched through the 530m in 30.32, Rapala Boy is ready to race!
Of the other chances Basic Instinct has performed well since stepping up to the 642m and has the advantage of an inside draw.
Sienna Glade, Connie’s Token and Hermy’s Luck are all last start winners and are all in reasonable form with Connie’s Token taking the scalp of both Elektra and Basic Instinct in a FTA over this distance last weekend.
In the second heat the fast starting Tayza will likely head the market although the box draw has done him no favours as he’ll start from 8.
Vulture Street has been running handy times over the 530m and it will be interesting to see if this greyhound can step up to the distance.
Distance champion Elektra has been mixing her form of late but should still be the punter’s elect in heat three.
Elektra is better prospect over the 715m but should be finishing strongly against this field.
This likes of Key Card and Tomcat will be out to cause an upset and you could also make a case for Jekyll.
Heat four appears to be a race in three between Big Time Bobby, Hi Barbara and Big Loose Buddy.
