Greyhound Betting Tips Saturday 19th April

Tonight’s racing is one of the biggest nights of the year, with the final of the Group One Golden Easter Egg. $250,000 awaits the winner and the likely favourite is the Tasmanian Buckle Up Wes from box one.

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 3 Box 7 Ohiyesa 6.09pm

The daughter of Never Enough and Poldar Gem looks to have a mortgage on this race. She has recorded a solid 30.62 here and will handle the outside box. There’s very little pace drawn on her inside and she should find herself getting across the field without too much hassle. There isn’t much in this field that can run the time she can, so she won’t need to lead to win. As long as she gets out and positions herself within striking distance she should win. Box three runner Boo Boo Child is the main danger and if she pushes forward early she’ll be hard to catch.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds Race 7 Box 1 Buckle Up Wes, 9.45pm

Buckle Up Wes is my tip in the big one tonight. He’s proven he can run time here at Wentworth Park, he’s proven he’s a class runner with a group one win under his belt. Box one is perfect for him and he should be able to jump away with Tonk and hold the rail. Box five runner Magic Display should head them up early, but I doubt she can hold on to the lead much past the winning post first time round. All Buckle Up Wes needs to do is hold the rail and push hard around the first turn and he should add another $250,000 to his impressive career earnings so far. Tonk is the main danger but I doubt both Tonk and Wes will finish in the top three.

It’s likely one of then will miss out and id say it will happen early on in the race rather later. It’s likely one will get strung up early or spat out the back. Everyone is likely to have a opinion on this race, but as we know boxes win races and there’s no substitute for box one if the dog can use it well, and Wes should relish the draw.

Stick with Wes and throw a few in behind in first fours.

Cannington Greyhounds Race 1 Box 3 Gone To Heaven, 9.05pm

This girl looks a moral to win here tonight. She’s a speed machine who only needs a safe getaway to blow these away. She has begun slowly in her past couple and that has cost her dearly. But she has the peace to lead these and when she does it’s all over. Box seven runner Last Day was a huge surprise after leading all bar the post in a solid 30.48. I was surprised to see him hold on over the 530 metre trip, as he generally struggles past 450 metres.

Last Day will threaten but if Gone To Heaven pings and goes Last Day might throw the towel in. Spot on Pedro is a huge chance, the son of Where’s Pedro has been flying around Northam so don’t be surprised to see him right there tonight, great quinella with Gone To Heaven.

The strong and promising Rumero Reason looks to be in a very suitable race. He is normally slow to begin and tonight that should allow him to find the rails in the early stages and he will prove too strong for these.

Ichi Tooshi comes here with strong NSW form, if he can handle the track at his first look he will be right in the mix. Dynamic Luke looks to be another hope, he didn’t have much luck in his debut run here and he can atone for that effort tonight.

Race 2 – 600M Grade 5 – 7:35PM

Abbey’s Hand steps back up to the 600 metre journey tonight and if she pings he lids as expected, I can’t see anything reeling her in. In late March she looked very impressive when scoring at Sandown Park in a smart 34.21 and a repeat of that will see her win tonight.

Fachoong is racing in great form of late and I would expect him to be applying some pressure to Abby’s Hand as they head off the back straight, he will just need plenty of luck from box seven. Thoughtful Wish is another who is not ideally drawn but she is too talented to dismiss, must include in your exotics.

Race 3 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:58PM

The Andrea Dailly trained Missile Flash faces a huge drop in class tonight. She is coming off a slick Bendigo win on Wednesday night and with her great acceleration she should be able to burn them off mid race. I’m expecting her to start around $3.50 which is value.

Penn Bale looked impressive when hitting the line hard in a heat of the Launching Pad two weeks ago. That night she gave the talented Chant a big head start and only went down by three lengths. Echelonic Action will be big odds tonight, she is dropping back to a more suitable trip and she can run a drum at big odds.

Race 4 – 525M Grade 5 Final – 8:19PM

Question Bale is an ultra reliable beginner who should have sufficient speed to cross the two runners drawn underneath him tonight. He hit the line quite strongly in his 30.25 heat win last week and a repeat of that sees him win again.

Hexen Bale has the good draw and he appears to be improving with every run. If he can step on terms tonight he should settle on Question Bale’s tale and he will be in the finish. Mermaid Princess is expected to start favourite but tonight she has speed drawn either side of her and she can miss the kick at times. I would prefer to risk her tonight.

Race 5 – 525M Mixed 4/5 – 8:38PM

Marley Girl’s recent form doesn’t look to flash, however if you look a little further back she managed to score at this track in a slick 30.05. Tonight’s race seems to lack genuine early pace, so if she can step cleanly she should lead and be able to reproduce that 30.05 run.

Nothing Much is a big talent but my concern with him is that he can bomb the start at times. With a slow beginner drawn outside him tonight he will have a bit more margin for error at box rise. Noble Bale has the class edge but he will get a long way back early, include in your exotic bets.

Race 6 – 525M Grade 5 Final – 8:57PM

Buckle Up Mason was suited by the class drop in his heat and he looks suited again tonight. Last week he produced a 5.05 section which should see him settling on the speed again and with a clear run he should be too strong for these.

Skinny Vinnie has the coveted rails draw and that brings him right into contention, like Buckle Up Mason this class will definitely suit him and he tends to do his best racing here. White Spyro is the expected leader and she may give them something to catch at odds.

Tick Bale is finally stepping up in distance and although he has a tough draw, he should have sufficient early speed to overcome it. He has been luckless of late over the 500 metre journeys whilst producing some barnstorming finishes, tonight he should relish the longer journey.

Allen Deed continues to impress and at Sandown last start he lowered the colours of the brilliant Campaspe Will. He has been beginning much better of late and he looks to be the main danger. Easton Bale recently won a heat of the Golden Easter Egg and he has enough early speed to lead for a long way.

Race 8 – 525M Mixed 3/4 – 9:40PM

In a wide open affair, I have settled on the early speed runners. Premier Event is likely to be around the $8.00 mark but he has brilliant box manners which should allow him to fire to the early lead. I’m expecting there to be plenty of shuffling up behind him and that will allow him to build a race winning break.

Tiggerlong Chief returned to form with a solid 30.13 win here last week and he appears perfectly drawn out in box eight.

Tyronimo will be a short priced favourite but I’m expecting him to get buried a long way back early. Shadow Lane is the only other winning hope for mine, he has a top record here and he should be able to follow Premier Event across in the early stages.

Peloton Bale has an enormous engine but poor box manners have been very costly of late. Tonight there is a lot of early speed drawn underneath him and I think he may be able to settle much closer to the lead than normal. He has the lot of them covered talent wise, he just needs an ounce of luck.

Bogner Bale was a tad disappointing at Sandown last start but he should be able to atone at his favourite track. He has won five of seven here and he should have enough pace to cross to the early lead. If Peloton Bale is strung up in traffic, this bloke may just steal the race.

Ultor Bale appreciated the step up to 595 at Sandown last time scoring an all the way win in fast time. Tonight he has two slow beginners drawn underneath so he should be able to find the early lead again.

Zipping Makka is making his middle distance debut and he gives every indication that the journey will suit. The only concern is that he is slow to begin and he will be giving them a big head start. Supersonic Hawk will be nice odds and he may be the surprise packet of the race.

Race 11 – 525M Grade 5 – 10:45PM

In what is a wide open affair, I think that the speedy Pippa Shiraz should be able to cross early and zip away off the back straight. She has done most of her recent racing in open class and tonight she should relish the class drop.

Jack Silver looks suitably drawn out in box eight and he should be able to follow Pippa Shiraz across in the early stages. He can run very slick times when given space, he just needs to avoid trouble going through the first bend.

Dyna Fulcrum produced a big performance to be placed here last week, tonight from the red draw he should be able to get a nice sit behind the early leaders and he will run over them in the home straight.

Lady Goldenpaw should be able to cross to the early lead and she will be in it for a long way. I don’t think she can hold out Dyna Fulcrum but she is a great place bet. Yakamov Bale has been racing in great style and he is a winning hope with some luck initially.

The inform Jason Mackay kennel should kick start the night for us. Fire Elusive is normally a reliable beginner and he musters pace very quickly. He has two average beginners drawn either side and he should get every chance to lead throughout.

Dyna Geldof has had no luck since his smart 29.92 win here and the empty draw outside will definitely help.

Scout’s Gold is the intriguing runner, he has more than enough talent to win but the rails draw will work against him. Swan’s Mavis won’t get into the race from out wide.

Race 2 – 520M Magic Maiden Final – 7:47PM

This maiden final is jam packed with future stars and on paper there look to be a number of chances. After looking at all the speed charts, I have decided to settle on Zipping Weston.

Zipping Weston looked dynamic when winning here in 29.62 two weeks ago. That night he won by 11 lengths and outside of Shakey Jakey he was four lengths faster than any other runner on the night. So far he has shown that he is a tad risky at box rise, but tonight that may work in his favour. I expect Paua To Roar and Brasko Kahn to match motors to the first turn and this should allow Zipping Weston to get the gun run behind them. With two 500 metre runs under his belt he should be powering to the line.

Likely leader Paua To Roar was far from disgraced when narrowly beaten in his semi final and if he does hold them out through the first bend he will take some reeling in. I don’t think he can hold out Zipping Weston if he is sitting on his back but he has continued to improve with every run.

Anything Less is the likely favourite and he was enormous in his semi win, however from the wide draw he will have to overcome difficulties to win again. Zipping Bruno is the other winning hope, drawn in the middle he will need luck but there is plenty of pace drawn underneath so he should get a clear passage.

Race 3 – 520M Special Event – 8:10PM

Ritza Hattie has been a tad unlucky in recent runs along with being a little disappointing. Tonight she has the luxury of slow beginners drawn either side and this should allow her to land on the lure and regain some confidence. She has a 29.79 PB here but she has improved a lot since then and if she pings the lids I think she can get down to the 29.50 mark.

Dyna Nalin has been a superstar chaser for a long time and he is making his last start tonight. He deserves to go out on a winning note but in recent times, he has been missing the kick and if he does so again he will need a lot of luck. I’m really keen on Ritza Hattie but I think this bloke will be steaming home to fill the quinella.

Where’s The Surf looks well drawn and if the two mentioned above make any mistakes I would expect him to take advantage.

Race 4 – 520M New Sensation Final – 8:27PM

Hooksy continues to take all before him and tonight he will again be starting prohibitive odds, however I don’t think he will get things his own way tonight.

My Kinda Music is an explosive beginner who caught the eye with a smart 29.75 Semi win. Tonight she has two keen railers drawn underneath and this should allow her to cross with ease. Having her fourth run over 520 metres tonight, I believe she can go a little quicker than her semi win and that should see her collect the winner’s cheque.

Bottom Dollar has a great turn of foot after box rise and if he can bring My Kinda Music across early he should be able to box on for the quinella spot. He has found a bit of bother in his two Wentworth Park runs which hasn’t allowed him to show what he is capable of, tonight I think he will get a clear run early and he may catch your attention.

King Odessa has been in consistent form and he may sneak into a place at big odds.

Race 5 – 720M Association Cup Final – 8:50PM

Xylia Allen made me eat my words last week. After stepping on terms she showed tremendous pace to fire to the lead and from there on she remained airborne. I expect her to either lead again or at worst settle just behind Lethal Three initially, if she repeats her record breaking performance from last week she is a moral at even money.

Sweet It Is was far from disgraced in her heat effort last week. After missing the kick like normal, she began to work her way through the field and hit the line strongly when beaten by less than three lengths by Dyna Willow. I’m expecting Xylia Allen to break up the field tonight which means the rest of the field will be bunching up, this will allow Sweet It Is to run over the top of them.

Dyna Willow is the only other winning chance, she has won six of seven here and is in rare form.

Race 6 – 520M Mixed 4/5 Final – 9:15PM

This is one of the most open races on the night. Stilton Blue is a lid pinger and he was highly impressive when runner up behind Awesome Project in his heat last week. I would expect him to lead again tonight and there should be a traffic jam behind him as they head through the first bend. He appears to be getting stronger with each run, so if he leads tonight I can’t see him getting run down.

Billy Buzzard is another reliable beginner who was luckless in his heat, tonight he has a slow beginner drawn underneath and this should allow him to gain a clear passage and settle just behind Stilton Blue. I don’t think he can reel in the leader but he looks a good quinella proposition.

Awesome Project was an impressive heat winner but the rails draw appears to be a negative for mine. Apollo Reign hit the line solidly in his heat and I think he is a value bet at odds to run a place.

Race 7 – Group One Golden Easter Egg Final – 9:45PM

Reigning Australian Cup champion Buckle Up Wes has fared extremely well with the box draw and he looks destined to snare his second Group One Final. After stepping on terms he was outpaced by Magic Display in his heat and in the run home he was a tad disappointing. Tonight from the red draw, I expect him to have sufficient speed to hold them out and from there on he should prove too strong.

Tonk is a very fast chaser on his night and he should get the gun run early behind Buckle Up Wes. Last week he settled just off the speed and powered to the line when scoring in 29.81, a repeat of that would see him put plenty of pressure on the favourite in the run to the line.

Evil Punk was the fastest heat winner last week but from box six tonight he has a big task ahead. Outside of the inside two draws, there appears to be only two other winning hopes. Ollie Bale has returned to his brilliant best of late, whilst Magic Display has pinged the lids in her two quick heat wins. If the inside two make any mistakes initially, I would expect to see Ollie Bale and Magic Display take full advantage.

Race 8 – 520M Mixed Event – 10:15PM

In a race which has a number of runners blessed with sizzling early pace, likely favourite Double Trigger can’t afford to make any mistakes.

Red Road is very hit or miss early, but when he hits he does like to test the clock. Last month he scored two brilliant 30.30ish wins at Richmond and his best of 29.54 here speaks for itself. Tonight I am anticipating that he will step on terms and then follow Fast Archer across in the early stages. Soon after he should assume control and put a space in his rivals.

Iona Tokyo is another fast beginner who scored three consecutive wins here, all around the 29.80 mark. I don’t think she can go with Red Road in the closing stages but the two leaders should have put a fair space in the rest of the field.

Gradence is the run on chaser in the field. His two recent efforts here in the Easter Egg series were much better than they read on paper. He will obviously get too far back to be a winning chance but he is a great dog to anchor for third and fourth in your exotics.

Race 9 – 520M Grade 5 – 10:35PM

Zambora Magic recently turned a few heads when scoring at Richmond in a blistering 30.31. Tonight he doesn’t appear too badly drawn in box seven and he should be given sufficient room early to muster speed. If he reproduces his effort from Richmond he should win by a big space, I am expecting him to be around the even money mark but that appears to be value.

The obvious and only danger to Zambora Magic appears to be Musquin Bale. Two starts ago he was enormous behind Buckle Up Wes and he should find this a little easier. My only concern with this bloke is that he can sometimes bomb the start. I expect that he will be giving Zambora Magic a little head start but if he can step cleanly tonight he will be right in the mix.

I can’t see any winning hopes outside of the two mentioned but if you’re looking for a value place bet, El Caballo might be a solid investment. He will probably be around the $3.00 mark for the place and he has continued to improve in his three runs since a long spell.

Race 10 – 520M Grade 5 – 10:55PM

Bearded Midget recently made light work of a smart field at Bulli when scoring in a dazzling 26.14, he then followed that effort up with a luckless placing here last week. Tonight I would expect him to ping the lids and match motors with Drop Jaw in the early stages. He will have too much speed for Drop Jaw off the back straight and he should be able to snap up his first Metro win.

Drop Jaw was airborne early here last week when placed in a heat of the New Sensation. Tonight he should be able to go with Bearded Midget for a long way and therefore hold on for the quinella spot. He is going to be double figures, so he may be a great value bet for the place.

Tiger The Weapon will most likely start favourite but I don’t think he has enough speed to hold them out early, therefore nullifying his winning chances. My Boy Snoop is the surprise packet, he has shown tremendous improvement of late and he finds himself in a suitable race tonight.

Race 1 – 515M Grade 5 Heat – 7:08PM

After an in depth look at the form guide, I believe that veteran speedster Black Saharrah can get us off to a flying start. Drawn perfectly in box one, she looks to have enough speed to hold the early lead and from there and she should prove too hard to run down. After a run of poor performances, she returned to form with a top Warragul placing last start and tonight she returns to her favourite track and trip.

Mepunga Ledger is expected to get a long way back in the early stages but in a race which has a lot of natural leaders, his racing pattern should work in his favour. Three of his four wins have been here and he should be nice value.

Gimme Fuel and Rustic Rocket are both likely to be equal favourites, however both are likely to encounter difficulties in running. He Went Off could be a smokey at nice odds.

Race 2  – 515M Grade 5 Heat – 7:24PM

Mepunga Hayley has been very costly of late but tonight she should get her chance to return to the winners list. Since scoring at The Meadows in February in a slick 30.01 she has experienced bad luck in every subsequent run. Tonight there appear to be three of four pacesetters who are all vulnerable in the last 50 metres. I’m counting on her getting a nice sit in the early stages and then proving too strong in the run home.

Skye has shown continual improvement in recent months and she is armed with sizzling early speed. Of all the early speed candidates, she is drawn closest to the rails and if she can step on terms she will have no trouble holding them out. This will be her first 500 metre run for a while so the last 30 or 40 is the only concern.

You Say Goodbye has been racing in solid form of late and he is a reliable beginner, whilst Lou Todd should get plenty of room in the early stages. Both can feature if they gain some luck through the first bend.

Race 3 – 515M Grade 5 Heat – 7:44PM

Now we arrive to the first monty of the night. Exciting the coveted red draw, Louie Neveelk should be able to pounce on the early lead and from there on it should be times and margins. In recent times he has lowered the colours of the exciting Campaspe Will at Traralgon and he was far from disgraced in a heat of the Launching Pad here last week. Tonight we should get around $2.50, I think he is worth having a crack at and also include him in your all-ups.

Punch It is poorly drawn in the middle but she does have early speed which will work in her favour. If she can step cleanly I believe she will match the favourite in the early stages, but I don’t think she will keep up with him in the run to the line. At around the $9.00 mark she may be worth a saver bet if Louie makes a few mistakes early, she is also great value in the quinellas.

Dundee Toro will be in the market, however the middle pin will pose a few problems for him. Newfire Riley will get a long way back early but I expect him to be hitting the line like a demon. Anchor for third and fourth in your exotic bets.

Race 4 – 715M Grade 5 Final – 8:08PM

The highly talented Luna Jinx is expected to start a short priced favourite, however tonight I reckon she is worth taking on. Arejay Smokey tends to do his best racing at this track and surprisingly he is suitably drawn in box five. After finding early bother in his heat, he managed to hit the line strongly when beaten by under two lengths and tonight I expect him to settle much closer to the speed and at $7.00 he is enormous value.

Luna Jinx clearly has them covered in the ability category but she has shown to date that she doesn’t like to be crowded in her races. In tonight’s event there appears to be an even spread of early speed and she may find herself in a little traffic early. I have noted in her runs to date, she can ease dramatically with dogs around her, so tonight at the prohibitive odds she is worth risking.

Butterfly Bling is the blowout chance. When switched on she is more than capable, she will be double figures and if taking the favourite on she is a worthwhile saver bet. Also include Miss Cyprus and Ronald in the exotics.

Race 5 – 595M Mixed 4/5 – 8:28PM

Gold Town and Prue Bale matched motors at The Meadows on the weekend with Prue Bale landing the cash. Tonight will be a different story though as Gold Town has the advantage of the inside draw. Although Prue Bale is lightning quick early, on the bend start if Gold Town can step on terms he should have enough genuine speed to hold her out and if he leads it will be goodnight folks. He has been quoted with some publications at $5.00, if you see those odds, head straight for the hole in the wall and unleash. I’m predicting you will see around $2.80 which is still worth a crack.

Tweed Bah Day is a former Queenslander who has just joined the powerful Greenough kennel. He has already shown in QLD that he has a ridiculous motor and with the Greenough polish I’m sure he may have even found an extra length or so. His only vice is that he likes to use plenty of the track.

I think Prue Bale will find things difficult from off the speed and I’m expecting her to hit a wall late. Allen Eryk is a gun chaser and if he can get some luck initially, he looms as a danger.

Race 6 – 515M Group Two Launching Pad Final – 8:52PM

Now we get to the feature race on the card. After going over the heat runs from last week, it really is hard not to keep coming back to Texas Titan. Not only did he overcome bother in the early stages, he still had the audacity to record the quickest time of the eight heats. I know it’s hard to get too enthusiastic about slow beginners, but with a fast beginner drawn underneath, I can see him getting a clear run early and settling within four lengths of the early leader. Currently $2.90 is available with some outlets but I think you will get better on race night.

The big improver will be the Tony Brett trained Chant. The clock read a mediocre 30.01 in his heat win, however after turning for home seven in front his final margin was only three lengths. This tells me that he was definitely short of a run and he will have derived a lot of benefit from having a look at the track. Currently you can get around $9.00 Fixed Odds. This is great value as I believe the smart punters will come for him closer to start time.

Classy Tasmanian Wynburn Wizard really caught the eye with his heat win and a forward showing tonight won’t be a surprise. Mepunga Ranger has the right draw but with plenty of speed out wide he may get shuffled a long way back in the early stages.

Suggested Bet: Although Texas Titan is my top pick, $9.00 about Chant is very enticing. Maybe snap up the $9.00 for Chant early and if Texas gets out to around $3.60 race night have something on him also.

 

Race 7 – 715M Grade 5 – 9:11PM

Although it’s just a Grade 5 event, this is one of the most exciting races on the card for mine. We get to see Nockabout Aussie make his long awaited 700 metre debut, whilst Bekim Hatrick and Wilma Bale are both coming off slick 725 metre Meadow’s wins.

I’m going to go with Nockabout Aussie. From the red draw he should fire to the early lead and I think he will get out to at least a seven to eight length lead. Obviously the last 70 is a massive concern, but at around the $3.50 mark I would be willing to take the risk.

Bekim Hatrick has really grabbed my attention of late and after finding early bother he powered to the line in his 42.90 Meadows win. He will be settling back in the field like always but if Nockabout doesn’t run the trip out I think this bloke will be there to get the cash.

Wilma Bale has loads of talent but she is extremely unreliable, she is also the type of chaser who either wins or finishes well down the track.

Race 8 – 515M Special Event – 9:35PM

In a race which isn’t blessed with lightning fast beginners, Class act Marcus Joe should get his chance to cash in. Last Saturday night he pinged the lids and although headed mid race he managed to hit the line strongly and score in a very quick 29.85. My only concern tonight is that with his early speed he may in fact make things a lot easier for Campaspe Will.

Campaspe Will is dropping back in distance after two impressive 595 efforts here in recent weeks. The two runs appear to have helped him gain some confidence and his box manners have improved a little. Tonight if he can step on terms with Marcus Joe he should be in a position to apply plenty of pressure off the back straight. I was very close to putting him on top but I am still not convinced about his box manners.

Mepunga Melachi and Cornelius Fudge are the two run on dogs and they will be hoping for lots of shuffling up front in the early stages of the race. Maybe anchor those two for third and fourth in the exotics.

Race 9 – 515M Grade 5 Heat – 9:55PM

The powerful Surf Mail faces a big drop in class tonight and in a race with numerous fast beginners, he should be able to avoid early trouble and settle a lot closer to the pace than normal. There are five possible leaders in this race and I am expecting there to be a big shuffle up on the first turn. If he can begin slowly like normal, he should get to the fence easily and find himself very handy to the leaders and he will prove too strong in the run home.

Go Mobo looms as the main danger. This chaser has a tremendous turn of foot and this should allow him to drive to the early lead. In his recent runs over 500 he has folded up late in the race, however after his Meadows effort on Saturday over the 525, I think he will strip a little fitter and he should be able to hang in for a little longer tonight.

Terrorizer and Lektra Stroke are both winning hopes, both have plenty of early speed and if Go Mobo misses the start, one of them may get left a long way in front.

Race 10 – 515M Grade 5 Heat – 10:12PM

Normally you would shy away when you see Roy Galo drawn in box one, however tonight he may be able to utilise his draw. Being a wide runner, he will need to do everything right initially. Drawn directly outside him is a slow beginner and there only appear to be two runners with genuine early speed. His box manners have been much better of late and if he can hold them out into the first turn he should put a space in them.

Len Wayne may be some value in this event. He has been racing in consistent style of late and if Roy Galo and a few others make some mistakes early, he may be able to establish a race winning break. I am still keen on Roy Galo but I think you can also have a little saver bet on this bloke.

Banged Up Bill is likely to be well in the market but last week he was very disappointing and I wouldn’t be rushing in to take short odds tonight.

Race 11 – 515M Grade 5 Heat – 10:33PM

We have to wait awhile but we finally get to see the unbeaten Johnny Black Fox strut his stuff in town. Clearly if you’re having a punt on this race, I suggest you just take some exotics around the favourite as he will be extremely short.

This striking black son of Collision – Alotto Mojo has scored nine brilliant country wins to date and he has shown dazzling acceleration each time. Tonight I would expect him to step on terms and take over control 30 metres into the event and from there on it’s a matter of times and margins.

If the favourite happened to make a mistake, Cee Ronaldo and Access are the likely two to spoil the party. Cee Ronaldo recently won at Traralgon in a ridiculous 29.28 and he has a top record here. A repeat of the Traralgon effort will see him keep the favourite honest.

Access really caught my eye in a heat of the Launching Pad last week, he showed great early dash and was only nabbed in the shadows of the post. It was his first try over 500 and I am certain he will be better for the run.

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 Heat – 10:52PM

We now arrive at the get out stake and from the red draw, I’m tipping Mepunga Tiara can get us out on a winning note. In her brief career to date she has done her best racing from this draw and with a wide runner drawn directly outside she should be able to avoid early bother. She has a solid 29.86 best here, but she can go a lot faster than that.

Deadly Boy is the likely equal favourite but I think he is a risk from a wide draw tonight. His last start 29.54 win here was impressive but it came from the red draw and tonight he will have plenty of trouble crossing early, so I think his chances are quite limited.

Wide running Crackerjack Rose is likely to make the race for Mepunga Tiara and with her early speed she should be in a position to hold on for a minor placing.

Bulli Greyhounds Race 6 Box 2 Clonakilty Man 8.48pm

The talented Clonakilty Man gets his chance to bounce back into winning form here tonight. The very well bred son of Vee Man Vane and proven city producer Gibbo Gold hasn’t won a race for six months, with his last win at Wentworth Park in 29.91. He’s a high speed dog that has also won in 29.78 at Wenty, but does take a few strides before he kicks into gear and that has been his problem recently. Its unlikely he’s going to begin here again tonight but he should get room to move with a ordinary beginner on his inside.

If he’s able to get out and find the lure he will prove hard to run down. The main danger and hot favourite will be Garrdice who has recorded some smart times here, with 22.43 and 22.52 wins over the 400 metre journey. The son of Where’s Pedro and She’s So Pretty should be suited by the step up in trip and looks a real danger from the outside with clear galloping room.

Clonakilty Man should start at odds of $5.00 and at that price he’s a worthy bet. Punters could also try taking the exotics around Garrdice and Clonakilty Man.

Cannington Greyhounds Race 10 Box 1 Ying And Yang, 11.27pm

Ying and Yang isn’t all that reliable when it comes to winning races. But the son of Brett Lee is always around the mark in these sort of races. He has a PB of 30.77 and if he were to run that he’d be unbeatable, but it’s been a while since he’s done that and it’s unlikely he can go that quick tonight. Box one is a great draw for him and he should come out at worst with them. He looks capable of holding the rail and if he finds himself in a forward position he should go close.

Box three runner Quartz River could be the smokey, she has a big motor and generally gets back in her races. But if she’s able to lob handy or the leaders find themselves in a mix up. Expect her to be motoring over the top, rough chance.

Rockhampton Greyhounds Race 6 Box 1 Cecil Henry, 8.38pm

Cecil Henry is a class animal and Albion Park top grader. He’s been taken up for the Cup and it appears as if his trainer Greg Brennan is giving him a chance to get use to the track a week early. Box one suits him and he should be off and gone from the get go. He’s capable of running fast times and should stop the clock in around 29.70. Cosmos Waters has a scorching PB of 29.35 and if she replicates that she will most certainly knock off Cecil Henry. Cecil Henry looks the leader and Cosmic Waters looks the run on dog so base all your exotics around these pair.

Lismore Greyhounds Race 6 Box 2 Rosealea, 8.23pm

Rosealea has been brilliant in her last two starts, last Tuesday night here at Lismore and last Thursday night at Albion Park. She won here last week in a career best 30.53 leading all the way and it looks as if she will repeat that dose here tonight against a similar field. With three scratchings in the race and no reserves, there is just the five runners, and if even money or better is about for Rosealea I suggest jumping aboard because she looks unbeatable here.

The main danger is Intensive Storm who has been a little down on form of late, but is much better then her form suggests. If she manages to get forward early and find the top she’ll prove a little tricky to reel in. Fire up Phantom looks the third selection in a small field of five.

Mandurah Race 5 Box 1 Director 9.26pm

The former Apple Isle chaser has been pretty good since coming across. He’s managed to win two from four here and has posted a PB of 22.82. Forget his last start effort of being flogged by the brilliant Rapido Kid in a scorching 22.47. Director began only fairly in that race but mustered great pace to burst through the pack, before being checked badly as he was making a run around the outside and was potentially going to run second. While there is some talented types in this race he has the advantage of box one and is a quality chaser.

As long as he steps away and gets a little room to shift one or two off the rail early he looks mighty hard to beat. The main danger appears to be box eight runner Black Ronny who has been going well but may struggle from out wide unless he pings and goes from the get go.

Warrnambool Greyhounds Race 6 Box 4 Lunar Tom, 8.27pm

It looks to be a very tough night to find a winner that will be over $2.00. The majority of races will be won by the favourites and the rest of the races are filled with first starters. Lunar Tom began really well last start at Sandown before being run down by Lektra Brave. Elite Diva will lead tonight’s race early but if Tom can ping and stay in touch with her, it’s likely he can run over the top if he’s close enough. Elite Diva will start the favourite and Lunar Tom the second favourite, so back Tom and hopefully he’s a fair price.

Race 5 – 425M Bendigo Cup Heat One – 8:18PM

Although there are only five heats, each heat is stacked full of talent and it’s sure to be an ultra competitive series.

The first heat features country cups king of 2013 Ronan Izmir. He appears to tick all the boxes and has drawn perfectly in box one. It’s hard to see this striking black chaser not getting the cash. He resumed from a short spell with a Ballarat placing recently and he is sure to have derived a lot of benefit from that run. In the past, he has won seven of his eight tries from the red draw and his track credentials read an impressive four wins from five tries. The Jason Thompson trained star is likely to be $1.50 or shorter but it does look to be better than bank interest.

Outside of the favourite, there appears to be a number of runners capable of filling the quinella spot. The powerful Kelvin Greenough kennel has recently acquired promising Tasmanian chaser Direct Current. If he can repeat his jaw dropping 25.20 Devonport win from last month he should give the favourite something to worry about.

Zambora Storm has the talent to feature, however sometimes his box manners can let him down. He would need to do everything right initially. Nic Nat Nui and Quara Bale may have trouble crossing from outside as there is an abundance of early speed drawn inside.

Race 6 – 425M Bendigo Cup Heat Two – 8:41PM

Heat two sees the best one bend chaser in the land strut his stuff. Like the first heat, Paw Licking is likely to start tens on and it will take a brave man to take him on. He is coming off a commanding Maitland Gold Cup win and he has won six of his nine tries from this draw. In a field which doesn’t have a lot of lid pingers, he should find himself in front soon after box rise and he is likely to give the track a record a shake.

Leesa Benz really caught the eye at Geelong last week when she was narrowly beaten over the 400 metre journey in a blistering 22.38. She can be a little hit or miss early, but if she can step cleanly, she should bring Paw Licking across early and run the quinella.

Empire Allen and Black Rip look to be the other place hopes. Both are front runners but neither has the speed to go with the favourite early.

Race 7 – 425M Bendigo Cup Heat Three – 8:58PM

Finally we get to a heat which looks to have a few chances. Deadly Vane is the likely favourite, but I don’t believe he is suited from the rails draw.

The early leader appears to be Fine Diner. If he can ping the lids like normal, he should make the race for the Gary Ennis trained Blaster. He is having his third run after a spell and he looked very impressive when scoring at Geelong in 22.47. He’s sure to be hitting peak fitness by now and the wide draw should suit.

Whata Good Size has a tremendous record on the country circuit and he recently set the Shepparton track alight with a dazzling 21.86 win. With a slow beginner drawn either side, he should get a clear run early and he is likely to be putting pressure on Fine diner and Blaster in the initial stages.

Fine Diner has a big problem running out the trip, so he is unlikely to feature. Ollie Bale and Deadly Vane look to be the two other winning hopes.

Race 8 – 425M Bendigo Cup Heat Four – 9:18PM

Once again we get to see another short priced favourite and like the first two, he looks to be a monty as well.

Reigning Melbourne Cup champion Black Magic Opal has drawn ideally in box one and he if he pings he is likely to test the time standard set by Paw Licking in heat two. After a disappointing effort at Sale in mid march, this superstar chaser showed he was back to his best with a track record performance at Ballarat the following week. I expect he will be tens on, but he is as close as you will get to a certainty.

Veyron Bale is drawn to follow the favourite through in the early stages and if he can recapture his best form he should run the quinella. Since scoring a 29.50 Wentworth Park win in January, this highly talented speedster has experienced loads of trouble in each subsequent run.

Coco Benz has been in good form of late but she will struggle in this company. Great Spartacus should be suited by the empty box underneath him.

Race 9 – 425M Bendigo Cup Heat Five – 9:41PM

In the final chance to qualify for next week’s lucrative final, it is hard to go past faultless beginner Matt’s Entity. In recent months he has taken all before him, having won seven of his past eight starts, with the latest being here in a lightning quick 23.57. There isn’t a single runner who can go with him for the first 300m in this event and it’s hard to see him being run down running 23.50 out in front.

Clone Your Own is the smokey in the event. He has gone winless in his past nine starts but he is suitable out wide and there doesn’t appear to be a heap of pace drawn directly outside him. If Matt’s Entity makes any mistakes early, Clone Your Own may be able to cause a boil over.

Zipping Brock will be in the market but I think he is better suited to a longer trip, Top Secret is drawn to be in the mix throughout.

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 6 Box 2 Ellie’s Flash, 8.24pm

The very talented Ellie’s Flash has found herself back in form at her past couple of starts. She’s a quality dog who has earned $45,000 for her owners John and Lil Edwards. The daughter of Queensland sire Buckingham Chuck and super brood Ellie’s Diamond has raced here her whole career at Albion and has a PB of 30.24 for the 520 metre trip. She looks the winner here tonight in a race that appears to be a two dog affair. Ellie’s Flash from box two should find herself jumping away in second early and finding the rail from the very start.

Box three runner Premiers Reign will be the early leader and is likely to lead the majority of the way. Ellie’s flash should be camped in behind Premiers Reign, and should be able to overhaul her late in the race. These two runners look to be the clear cut leaders and should be three to four lengths in front of the pack early. Moss Gambo is the run on dog of the race and will be steaming home at the finish. He’s unlikely to be able to stay in touch early though, so it’s unlikely he will be close enough to run over the top of them.

Punters looking to take exotics could take a trifecta 2,3-2,3,4-2,3,4,7 $8.00 for 100%.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 1 Box 1 Dillinger, 6.35pm

This looks a race that Dillinger can win. The son of Bit Chilli has been going exceptionally well of late and has drawn the right box to get a soft run and win. He should land second or third early on and can hit the lead mid race. He’s only won the two starts here at Angle park in twelve attempts and that’s a slight concern, but he drops in class tonight and if he is to return to the winners circle then this looks his opportunity.

The main danger appears to be box three runner Danyo’s Luke but he can be hit and miss and needs to ping and lead clearly to salute. Box one runner Sienna Bale looks to be the key to the race and if she pings and goes like she can, she will give Dillinger the perfect kart into the race.

If odds of about $3.00 to $3.50 are around jump on board, he looks the one.

Launceston Greyhounds Race 8 Box 4 Blue Mccool, 10.00pm

Barnes Bay looks a great lay bet here tonight in my opinion. He’s yet to draw box one and has come up with that here tonight. But I’m not so sure he’s suited to the inside and it’s likely he won’t be the first out of the boxes. Box two runner Hellyeah Flicka is capable of pinging the lids and she looks just one runner who could cross Barnes Bay initially. The other runners capable of crossing him early also are Blue Mccool, Trex Tiger and Rose Cabernet. If they happen to cross Barnes Bay, he’s not strong enough to come from behind and run them down. He has however won here in a fast 29.84 but he’s likely to start a short priced favourite and from the red and with speed drawn around he’s worth laying.

Blue Mccool is racing really well at present and he looks to be the classiest runner of the early leaders. It might pay to back him and lay Barnes Bay. Punters looking for value could box up runners 4,5,6,7 for $24.00 for 100%. If the fav misses the placings then it’s likely a big dividend will result.

Only the three selections tonight but hopefully all three will do the job and win.

Unix Bale has the most talent of any runner in the field but the wide draw is somewhat of a concern for me. If she gets a clear run initially she will feature. Why Not Wayne is very hit or miss, but from box one he should also be a major player.

Cee Ronaldo recently set the Traralgon track alight with a dazzling 29.28 win and tonight he returns to a track which he tends to race well at. From box two he should muster to the early lead and make every post a winner.

Noble Bale has won seven races over this journey and he is armed with a barnstorming finish. He has them covered for talent but his poor box manners will see him get a long way back early.  Skinny Vinnie was far from disgraced when placed here last week.

See Him First is making his staying debut tonight and he has drawn a race which lacks real depth. I expect him to be starting at a very short quote but it’s hard to see him getting beat. May be worthwhile anchoring him in some all ups and the early quaddie.

Mimicking is second up from a short spell and he would have been sharpened up by his strong 515 metre effort last start. He races well here and he does have a fair bit of class. Maddison Dee has been going terrible of late.

Surprisingly Buckle Up Mason drops back to a Grade 5 event and he looks to have panels on most of these. From box one he should find himself settling in the first three through the first bend and he will prove too powerful in the run home.

Black And Cool does his best racing here and he will be better for his first up placing at Shepparton last start. Take Charge is an exciting talent but he needs to do everything right from box six.

Class act Marcus Joe was never headed when scoring at Sandown in 29.34 recently and tonight he returns to his favourite track and trip. He has two slow beginners drawn outside and he should get every chance tonight.

Searle Bale is the smokey, since returning from a spell she has improved with every run and tonight at big odds she might be the surprise packet. Surf Mail will get a long way back early, anchor for second and third in your exotics.

Wilma Bale is a hard type to follow but when she is on song she is brilliant. After a slow beginning, she took control mid race and powered to the line for a smart 42.88 heat win and a repeat of that will see her win again.

Bekim Hatrick is going to be a major player in Group races in the future, so tonight from the rails draw he should be putting plenty of pressure on Wilma Bale in the closing stages. Heaps Of Ability looks to be the only other winning hope.

Race 8 – 525M Grade 4 – 9:46PM

Extremely difficult race but I believe that the desperately unlucky Tick Bale gets his chance tonight. With two keen railers drawn underneath, he should be given plenty of room early and he will get a chance to show his true form.

Tiggerlong Chief has been very hit or miss at box rise of late, if he can ping the lids tonight he will set a cracking pace and will give them something to catch. If you get ridiculous odds about Lektra Bianca, she may be worth a small saver bet.

Gold Town is finally making his middle distance debut and he should have no trouble with the longer trip. He has two slow beginners either side, so he should get a clear run in the initial stages. If you can get $3.50 or better that is value.

Prue Bale will be flying out in front but the last 50 metres is a big concern for her. Moonhaze is well drawn out wide and he does his best racing at this venue.

Dyna Filbert is a consistent veteran who should be able to find the rails in the early stages. He’s coming off two solid metro wins and should feature again. Proven Trendy doesn’t look suited from out wide.

Cette Away is showing loads of promise and she is armed with very good early speed. She had no luck in her Meadows debut, but her racing pattern (leader) will suit this type of track.

Velocemente Has won five races over this journey and he faces a big drop in class. His only concern is his lack of early speed. With some luck initially he should be in the finish. Soul Eater has some claims at odds.

Race 2 – 720M Association Cup Heat One – 7:47PM

The brilliant Xylia Allen has been in rare form of late having broken two track records in her past two starts, however I still don’t believe she is a true and genuine stayer. I expect Xylia Allen to establish a big lead but the strong Infinite Wish should be within striking distance as they head for home. Infinite Wish has recorded some top placing’s at Sandown in recent times and she looks perfectly placed in a race which is sure to have a fast pace set.

Set Her Again has struggled in her two runs here but she is a whole lot better than that. She recently recorded a sub 35 win at Albion over 600 metres and has indicated in her past couple of runs that she is now crying out for the 700 metre journey. Alpe D’Huez is another runner who is in hot form and he looks to be a genuine chance also.

I believe this is a great value race. Xylia Allen is a big take on, she should hold on for second or third, but I think that a stronger type will haul her in late, so her winning chances are diminished.

Race 3 – 720M Association Cup Heat Two – 8:10PM

The powerful Sweet It Is produced a monster effort to score at Sandown last week at her second start for the Darren McDonald kennel. She seemed to show a little more early dash than normal last start before getting knocked over and if she can reproduce that better speed initially tonight she will be able to settle much closer to the pace. The fact that there are at least four front runners in this line up just enhances her chances even more. With the presence of Dyna Willow, Ash Flash and Born Ali, it is very likely that you may see $4.00 or better for Sweet It Is, enormous value.

Dyna Willow is expected to start a short priced favourite and rightly so. She is coming off a track record performance over this track and trip and in that performance she powered to the line. The box draw is her toughest opponent tonight, Ash Flash likes to use a bit of the track and there is every chance Dyna Willow will be posted wide for most of the trip.

Born Ali was soundly beaten when runner up here last time but she is much better than that performance.

Race 4 – 720M Association Cup Heat Three – 8:27PM

This is probably the toughest heat of the three. Established staying star Dyna Kayla looks the top pick and with any sort of luck early she should win, however we see up and comer Rocky Bale and the consistent Hailstorm Billy who makes his long awaited staying debut.

For me, it is too hard to look past Dyna Kayla. The Andrea Dailly trained chaser has the runs on the board and she is likely to be out in front and avoiding any trouble. She has had little luck in her past four runs but prior to that she had won 10 of her 14 career starts. If you can find $2.50 or better then I suggest you unleash.

Rocky Bale is the most intriguing runner of the series, he is taking on the big guns for the first time over the staying trip and he races as though this journey is right down his alley. My biggest concern is that he likes to run wide and being his first look at Wentworth Park he may get a little lost through the turns.

The enigmatic Cawbourne Looney must be kept safe also, she doesn’t always show her best but her best is quite amazing.

Race 5 – 520M Golden Easter Egg Semi Final One – 8:50PM

Now we arrive to the major players of the night. We kick start the first semi with the reigning Perth Cup champion Keybow who smashed a quality line up here last week in 29.45. I’m going to start sounding like a broken record, but like last week I think Keybow is a risk tonight (he made me look silly last week). In tonight’s event he has loads of early speed drawn either side which should mean that he will be strung up in traffic early, which should allow his kennelmate Where’s The Surf to head through the first bend with a commanding lead.

Where’s The Surf has produced three solid performances here in recent times with the most impressive being from this draw when scoring in 29.71, a repeat of that will see him get the cash tonight.

I have anticipated that the outside draws will be finding bother, this should give classy veteran Ritza Ryder a chance to show his best and qualify for another Group Race final. He loves to rail and his form hasn’t been too bad of late.

Obviously Keybow has the talent edge but like I hinted earlier, tonight’s box draw may pose a major problem.

Race 6 – 520M Golden Easter Egg Semi Final Two – 9:15PM

Heat number two looks pretty straight forward for mine. Talented Tasmanian Varcoe looks perfectly drawn out wide and he is sure to have derived plenty of benefit from last week’s look at the track. He recently broke 25 seconds in a trial at Maitland he is the reigning Launceston Cup champion over a similar distance. Dyna Nalin is expected to start a short priced favourite but I think he will be giving Varcoe an almighty head start. Varcoe should be around the $6.50 mark or better, definitely worth an each way ticket.

Dyna Nalin is coming off a sizzling 29.69 heat win last week, however the red draw played a major role in that victory. There is no doubting this superstars ability but there are plenty of negatives for him tonight. Being a slow beginner is never an advantage and box six is a disastrous draw for a notorious railer. I think we can let other punters snap up the short odds about this one.

Shadow Lane may be the surprise packet in the race, I think he will start double figures but with some luck initially he may find himself in strong contention off the back straight. Warrior King has been in great form of late but like Dyna Nalin the box draw may be his undoing tonight.

Race 7 – 520M Golden Easter Egg Semi Final Three – 9:35PM

This looks to be the most open of the heats. Buckle Up Wes has taken all before him of late. He recently captured the Group One Australian Cup and he set the track alight here last week with a 29.56 heat win. Like a few of the top fancies in earlier heats, tonight’s box draw looks to pose a problem for the favourite.

Musquin Bale has drawn ideally in box eight and he was far from disgraced when runner up behind Buckle Up Wes last week. Tonight he should once again gain a clear run whilst Wes is likely to be weaving his way through some traffic. In these sort of races there is very little separating each runner talent wise, so sometimes it is often better to look for value this is why I have put Musquin Bale ahead of the favourite.

Ritza Flare is another who has the suitable draw, last week she was handily placed here and being her first run from a spell, she is sure to have derived a lot of benefit from that run. As stated earlier, Buckle Up Wes clearly has the class and talent edge but box draws can bring the best undone sometimes.

Race 8 – 520M Golden Easter Egg Semi Final Four – 9:58PM

The inside draws appear to hold the key to this race. I am expecting Iona Tokyo to fire to the early lead. In her past three wins she has gone 5.40 or better to the first marker and still managed to finish off around the solid 29.70 mark. With Iona Tokyo likely to set the speed, Tonk looks set to get the nice drop on her early and if he is within two lengths of her off the back he should have her measure. Three runs ago he reeled off a sizzling 29.57 win here and when given clear galloping space this bloke can really let down.

The quinella looks pretty straight forward on paper, with the inside two dominating the event, however if everything doesn’t go to plan, the swooper Gradence may come into play. He is likely to get a mile out of his ground but he will be unleashing a barnstorming finish late. I think it would be best to anchor him for third and fourth in your exotics as I believe he may be giving the two leaders a massive head start.

Hawk Alone has some small claims but he will need to do everything right in the early stages, whilst Dark Warrior may find some of these too slick for his liking.

Rumble Comet should cap off a top night for the kennel. In recent times he has scored two sub 30 wins at The Meadows and both times he had to overcome plenty of difficulties. All he has to do is get through the first turn still standing and he should feature.

Bearded Midget has blistering early speed but I think he is a doubt to run the trip and he may also need a look at the track. Triumphant One could be the smokey, he was far from disgraced in his last start placing here.

Jawlaa is in good form, has the perfect draw and is likely to be short, however tonight she comes up against a number of chasers who have blinding early speed with Army Surplus being the fastest of them all. Army Surplus has an amazing turn of foot soon after box rise and he finally put the time on the board with a brilliant 29.78 win here late last month.

Dyna Geldof should be able to follow Army Surplus across early and this will allow him to be a major player throughout. Billy Buzzard looks to be the other winning hope. Jawlaa is the type that will either win or finish well down the track, tonight I’m tipping well down the track.

Ritza Raider faces a big drop in class and with an ounce of luck early he should be right in the finish. He has a top record here and his best performances to date have been from wide draws. Apollo Reign could be the surprise in the event, will be double figures but has the talent to feature. Box draw is his only concern.

Greyhound Betting Tips Thursday 10th April

A big night of racing ahead with Sandown hosting heats of the Launching Pad. Oscura is an exceptionally exciting young chaser who recently stopped the clock in a sizzling 29.74 at Cranbourne. He should run the hands off the clock again tonight and will be fascinating to watch. Oscura goes around at 7.44pm from box five, so keep your eyes on him.

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 2 Box 3 Angvella 6.57pm

I’ve been a keen follower of Angvella since his first start in a heat of the Group Two Vince Curry a while back. He was unsuccessful in that series, but did win the consolation and went quicker in winning the consolation than Jungle Junction ran in winning the Vince Curry final. Angvella has recorded some flying times at Ipswich and i expect him to run those same sort of times here at Albion Park.

He has won here four starts back in a good 30.22, but that night he fired out of the boxes and headed straight to the rail duelling with another runner, and that cost him many lengths. If he had managed to get across from the start without interference, I expect he would of broken 30.00 seconds for the 520 meter journey that night. He won that night from box six, a box that’s far from ideal for him. Since then he has drawn boxes six, seven and six and had no luck at all in those starts after crashing left. From box three tonight he should ping and get a lovely drag across with box two runner and last start dramatic improver Bellisimo Belle, who won here in a solid 30.23. Bellisomo Belle carved out a fast 5.56 first section last week and Angvella will be right there with her tonight.

Miner’s Moss box three is another last start winner and also carved out a 5.56 first section, but went a quicker, 30.13 in his first victory here in three attempts from box one. Angvella is more then capable of matching it with these two seasoned sprinters and if he gets through early I expect him to be too fast for the other pair. It’s looks quite possible the son of Just The Best can break 30.00 and I expect him to run 29.90 to 29.85 if he finds the front from the get go.

He may start at odds of around $6.00 and for a dog who has exceptionally talent he looks a good bet.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 6 Box 2 Allen Illem, 8.58pm

It’s looks quite possible that the race favourite may win the majority of the Angle Park races tonight. Each race contains a high quality chaser and it just appears as one of those favourite winning nights. Allen Illem may be the best winning chance and could start at odds of around $2.70. He is perfectly boxed and has drawn a race that will suit his racing style. He’s a moderate beginner and does get back in his races, but he does have enough pace to camp midfield and accelerate through them mid race.

His recent form is super consistent and he deserves to win a race. It’s been eight starts since he has won and his last victory came here at Angle Park in 29.94. The Angle Park track is on fire at present and dogs are running times I feel some aren’t capable of. Despite that this fellow is good enough to break 30.00 and should do so should he win tonight.

The son of Velocette ticks all boxes tonight, so jump on him as he looks the one. Victa Sam could turn things around from out wide so maybe take a safety bet on him, if he’s good odds. Work around these two in your multiples at Sportingbet.

Dapto Greyhounds Race 6 Box 1 Supercell, 9.14pm

High quality race here and $5,000 is up for grabs to the winner and Supercell is boxed to perfection. The son of Lochinvar Marlow has drawn the red and has a couple of wide runners drawn beside him. He has been racing in fine form with 3 wins and 6 placings in his past 10 starts. Two starts ago he recorded a fast 30.45 win at the tough Richmond track from box one. He is a winner of 5 from 12 here with a fast PB of 29.85. He will need to run every bit of that tonight, but the box suits and he’s drawn perfectly. If he begins like he can he should have enough toe to hold out the speedy Fast Archer and Francois Dryva, who will be burning across form the outside. If he holds the lead around the first turn then he should be the first past the post.

Outside of him it does appear tricky as the inside runners are likely to drift off at the first turn and the outside runners are likely to be cutting down. This may cause a pile up of hounds and who knows who will get spat out of the pack. Stick with a win bet only here or anchor him with your choices in a banker trifecta.

Hobart Greyhounds Race 1 Box 1 Champagne bound, 7.38pm

I backed this girl on Monday night from box three and was disappointed when Sweet Izzy ran her down to just beat her over the 515 meter trip at Launceston. Sweet Izzy does have a motor and is a strong runner so there’s no shame in that. Champagne Bound looks a promising type and she has terrific early burn. She’s had a few starts and should be primed and ready to win tonight. There is a few first starters who have been drawn in this race and who have no exposed form to go on. It will be best to watch the market and bet accordingly.

But Champagne Bound has talent so it will take a pretty good dog to knock her off from the red tonight.

Sandown Greyhounds Race 6 Box 1 Nockabout Aussie, 8.52pm

I reckon punters can have a go at Nockabout Aussie here tonight. He’s been pretty unlucky recently and has been working his way up to a win. With the scratching of Jewel Bale this fellow might get that run he needs in behind a couple of chasers he can run over the top off. Box seven Hello Good Bye and box eight Campaspe Will aren’t likely to get across from the start and are likely to be out wide and having to push hard to get around the outside.

Duchess Bale could ping and lead them up along with Allen Deed, and if these two runners lead the race Nockabout Aussie can run them down. I expect that he should be midfield early as opposed to his usual towards the rear pattern and if he’s close enough at the right time he’ll come with a big run. If odds of about $5.00 are around jump on board, this looks his race. The likely favourites might find it tough from out wide so didn’t be surprised to see them miss out here.

Sandown Greyhounds And Launching Pad Tips & Betting Preview April 10th 2014 – Part Two

Race 7 – 515M Launching Pad Heat Five – 9:11PM

Finally we have arrived to the best bet of the night. Drawn in the red box, the Michael Carter trained Fearless Bert should be able to drive to the early lead and then put a space in his rivals. His record suggests that he races better from wider draws, however he has a fast beginner and has a wide runner drawn directly outside. This should allow him to gain a clear run initially and if he can find the lure early I’m tipping a sub 29.30 run.

Zell Bale has returned to form of late and he is also capable of reeling off slick times, however he can miss the start at times and his four career wins have all come from inside draws.

Rumero Reason caught the eye when scoring at The Meadows in 30.10 recently and he then followed that up with a top placing there after finding loads of early bother. The draw won’t help as he likes to rail, but being a slow beginner he may be able to work across to the rail without finding too much bother.

Access is a highly promising speedster making his metro debut. This assignment may be beyond him but keep an eye out for him in the future.

The open class race is probably the most difficult race on the card. There are a couple of chasers in top form and a couple who are lacking confidence, but with an ounce of luck they can return to form.

I have decided to look for a little bit of value. Veyron Bale’s present form reads terrible and he has been soundly beaten in his two runs from a spell, but in his defence he has found trouble soon after box rise in both events. When given room to muster speed he is capable of matching some of the best chasers in the land and with early speed drawn in boxes one and two, he should get a nice sit as they head through the first bend. Expect him to be double figures, but he is worth an each way ticket.

Tam’s Wish was slow to begin when placed at The Meadows last Saturday night and if she can step a little better here she should find herself in front as they head into the back straight. If she is $4.00 or better it may be worthwhile having something on both runners for the win.

Wise Ella was pretty ordinary here last week so she doesn’t look to have much of a chance. Mepunga Melachi and Cornelius Fudge are the two run on dogs, include both in your exotics.

Race 9 – 515M Launching Pad Heat Six – 9:55PM

This heat looks to be another wide open affair with six realistic winning chances. After looking at all the variables, I have settled on Mepunga Ranger. He recorded a top placing here two weeks ago behind Bogner Bale, who franked the form with another impressive Meadows win over the weekend. He can show early speed in his races but he doesn’t have to lead to win. I’m hoping he can find the rail early and avoid any scrimmaging through the first turn. and if he’s within striking distance off the back straight he should get the cash.

There are four possible leaders in this event but I believe Frank Furter has the best speed of them all. He has been racing in consistent form at The Meadows of late and if he steps cleanly he should be in the mix for a long way.

Warehouse Mouse has the most ability of any runner, but he can bomb the start at times and from the awkward draw he will need to overcome a number of difficulties to win. Run Angel Run and Top Secret look to be the other winning hopes. I know I haven’t narrowed it down too much but it truly is very open.

When placing your bets, base your investment on some runners which are over the odds. Mepunga Ranger and Run Angel Run are likely to be big overs. I have put Frank Furter in for second in my Tips but I don’t believe he is a winning hope. He will lead but I think whoever lands on his back will reel him in.

Race 10 – 515M Launching Pad Heat Seven – 10:12PM

The seventh heat is probably the most intriguing heat of the night. Mepunga Sambo is coming off a 13 length win here last week in a blistering 29.32, the gifted Deadly clear has been racing without any luck at all, whilst Cheeky Hand has the speed to cross and upset them both.

Cheeky Hand looks to be the safer bet for me. I expect her to cross the inside two quite easily and she is coming off a very fast 29.41 Traralgon win. She won her maiden here in December in 30.14, but I believe she has found plenty since then and on the lure I would expect her to be running sub 29.60. With Mepunga Sambo most likely starting at even money, Cheeky Hand should be around the $5.50 mark which is great value.

As stated earlier, Mepunga Sambo caught the eye with a top win here last week. The big concern for me is the 5.22 to the first marker. A repeat of that effort would he see him getting strung up in traffic early therefore ending any winning chance.

The interesting runner is Deadly Clear, he burst onto the scene late last year with some ridiculous Shepparton wins. Since then he has had a few injury concerns and he has been luckless in three runs from a spell. If he can handle the track and is given room early it will be interesting to see what he can do.

Race 11 – 515M Launching Pad Heat Eight – 10:32PM

The final heat looks to a battle between two emerging stars in Banged Up Bill and Mepunga Hayley. I believe that Mepunga Hayley has the edge talent wise but tonight’s box draw will see me put Banged Up Bill on top.

The Wayne Vassallo trained chaser has shown tremendous early speed in his provincial wins, however when winning here last start he showed another tool by coming from off the speed. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of speed drawn underneath him and if he steps cleanly he should be able to burn to the lead.

Mepunga Hayley has shown enormous talent in her brief career but she still has a few vices that she needs to fix. Presently her box manners are terrible and from the middle pin she is going to need plenty of luck in running.

Lunar Tom is more than capable on his night, but he has a tendency to not want to go past the leader in his races. He must be included in the exotics. Lektra Brave does his best racing here and he has a slick PB.

Race 12 – 515M Grade 4 – 10:52PM

The get out stakes is one of the toughest and most open races of the night. Bogner Bale is expected to start short odds from the red draw, but I don’t think he is really suited.

Billy Rocket is unbeaten over this track and journey and I believe he has sufficient speed to cross the favourite in the early stages. His last few runs haven’t been overly impressive but returning to his favourite track he should be able to regain some of his confidence.

Ozzie Bullet can be a hard dog to follow at times but he too has a strong record here and is the type of chaser who tends to bob up when big odds. He can ping the lids but over this trip he has the ability to come from off the speed. I expect he will settle in the first three and he may be the value bet.

Tyronimo looks to be the other winning hope. He is poorly drawn tonight but he’s likely to settle back in the field initially, so the draw shouldn’t be too much of a concern.

Greyhound Betting Tips Wednesday 9th April

Some quality chasers are engaged tonight and keen followers should keep there eye on one runner in particular at Bulli. Kevlarr, a son of Spring Gun, is having his first race start in race 1 at 7.05pm after breaking the 400 metre Bulli record in a trial running 22.18. He looks a superstar in the making and all eyes will be on him.

Bulli Greyhounds Race 4 Box 2 Zipping Coco, 8.05pm

This girl was well supported on debut and demonstrated she has a bright future ahead of her. A daughter of new sire on the block Smooth Fancy, Zipping Coco was bred by leading breeder Marty Hallinan and is having only her second race start. She was beaten by only 1.5 lengths in her first start at Maitland and should improve second time out here tonight. It doesn’t appear box one runner Hurricane Ted has a great deal of early speed, so this should allow Zipping Coco to zip across onto the rail. She should find improvement and based on a 25.65 run at Maitland, she should be capable of running 26.50 to 26.60 here at Bulli.

Zipping Coco is likely to start second favourite behind Paperbond, who performance trialled here in a slick 26.42. He looks a young pup that’s above average and should be hard to beat. Box six runner Issac Sannette looks the only other likely winner. He’s by boom sire Bekim Bale and certainly has talent, but generally speaking the Bekim Bale progeny are usually average beginners. Having drawn box six he’s likely to be chasing a few bums early, so I’m prepared to watch him go around. Zipping Coco has a little more experience and should be $5.00 or better.

Cannington Greyhounds Race 6 Box 3 Ethernet, 10.12pm

Great race to have a bet in here and Ethernet looks the winner. The key to this race is the speedy Last Day who is trained by the Robartson’s. Last Day is a son of champion stayer Dashing Corsair and is as speedy as they come over the first 450 of a race but really struggles beyond that. He should ping and fly out of the boxes and set up the race for Ethernet who should be trailing him a few lengths behind.

Ethernet has proven she can run time and has a PB here of 30.51, however the daughter of Where’s Pedro was pretty disappointing last start but had excuse in the run. She is second up here tonight and should be primed and ready to return to the winners circle. I’m quietly confident punters can leave Last Day out of the top 2 here as long as they don’t jam up in behind him and he skips away.

Box seven runner Oxley Delight can also get the job done but she will need to come away well and land herself in the top three to four early. She to has a great PB and can be included as a winning hope.

Back Ethernet and Oxley Delight and lay Last Day in the multiples. Sensational race to speculate and take advantage of the $100 in free bets at Sportingbet for a $30 deposit.

Rockhampton Greyhounds Race 6 Box 1 Golden Glory 8.35pm

Its not too often I pick one out at Rockhampton, but with the way I’ve been going lately I’ll try a new venue. Most of my dangers are beating my on top selections of late but this fellow should represent value and can turn it around for me. He has won here in 29.84 before and while he’s not in that form lately, he is capable of going close to that if he begins.

His chances hinge on him beginning and putting himself into the race, but with ordinary beginners around he can push forward from the start. He finds his best form on the lure, so have a go at backing him if he’s $4.00 or more. Box two runner Never A Drama is owned by ARG writer Jacob and partners and can bounce back here and should be kept very safe.

He too is another runner who can turn it around if he gets forward and finds the lure. Lois Faye is badly out of form at present, but has a big finish and if she lobs in behind and gets a crack, look for her to be coming really hard near the line, rough chance who could be huge odds.

Sandown Greyhounds And Launching Pad Tips & Betting Preview April 10th 2014 – Part One

Race 1 – 515M Maiden Final – 7:08PM

The Wayne Vassallo trained My Name’s Jessie should get us off to a flying start in the first. Last week she recorded the fastest first split of all the competitors and she managed to hit the line solidly in a sub 30 second heat win. A repeat of that performance will see her go very close again.

Choclotto was far from disgraced after setting the pace in his heat. After going through the first sector in a handy 5.16, he continued to show great dash off the back straight until being headed in the shadows of the post. He is sure to be improved for that effort and he will be enormous value tonight.

Outside of my top two picks there are a host of other prospects. Time For War has the good draw and he hasn’t had a whole lot of luck in his two runs to date. I expect he will show drastic improvement.

Race 2 – 515M Launching Pad Heat One – 7:24PM

The first heat of the Launching Pad looks to be a very open affair. The top two chances look to be Prince To Excel and Louie Neveelk. After looking at the speed maps, I believe that one of these two should hold the early lead and salute.

Prince To Excel just gets the edge as he is drawn underneath Louie Neveelk. In late March Prince To Excel showed a tremendous turn of foot when scoring two sub 26 seconds Warragul wins. His last 30 metres haven’t been convincing in his previous 500 metre efforts, but I think he is a lot fitter now and he should run it out a lot better.

Louie Neveelk beat a star studded line up in the recent Traralgon Puppy Classic. Throughout that series he showed great box manners and early speed and he seems to have gone to another level. He should be putting plenty of pressure on Prince To Excel early and I expect they will fight out the finish.

Coconut Grove is the likely favourite but from box eight I think he may end up in the car park as they head through the first turn. Moot Point is strong and he has the good draw, so is a must for the exotics.

Race 3 – 515M Launching Pad Heat Two – 7:44PM

The exciting Oscura has taken all before him of late and although drawn poorly tonight he should make his way into next week’s rich final. This striking black chaser first caught the eye with a 29.74 Cranbourne win late last month and he then followed that up with a 12 length Warragul win. The most impressive part of the Warragul win was the manner in which he hit the line. Tonight he faces a tough test from the middle pin but I believe he has a fair bit on these, so he should be able to overcome some difficulties in running.

Stylish Baroque looks to be perfectly boxed in the red. Last time she exited this draw she managed to reel off a slick 5.02 first sectional here, a repeat of that will see her leading easily tonight. Although she is likely to set up a big lead early I don’t think she is strong enough to hold off Oscura this early in her career.

Lonesome Pirate is a big time money muncher and he just doesn’t seem to handle the metro tracks too well. Stealthy Mark could be the surprise packet of the race. I expect him to be double figures but he has early speed and he was impressive when scoring at The Meadows recently.

Race 4 – 515M Launching Pad Heat Three – 8:08PM

This heat looks to have a number of runners which are armed with early speed. There are four possible leaders and all of them struggle in the last 30 metres or so. After taking this into consideration, it is hard to go past the powerful Texas Titan.

The Jeff Britton trained chaser has continued to improve with every run and last week he put in an enormous effort here. After finding some early bother he must have given the promising Mepunga Moss a five to six length head start off the back straight and he managed to only go down by a nostril. If he can get an ounce of luck in the early stages he will prove far too strong for these.

Lady Goldenpaw has won three of her six tries over this trip and she should be setting a cracking pace out in front. If Tex is within five lengths of her off the back straight I don’t think she can hold him off, but she does look to be a lock for the quinella.

Dyna Orion could be the smokey. He takes a while to wind up in his races but if he can find the rail without getting into bother, he’ll find himself much closer to the speed than normal.

Top Four:             7 – 1 – 4 – 3

Suggested Bet: Have a crack at Texas Titan at Sportsbet. He should be $3.50 and he looks perfectly placed to salute with the $250 free bet. Also rove in quinellas with 1 & 4.

 

Race 5 – 515M Launching Pad Heat Four – 8:28PM

In what looks to be another very open race, we should be able to find some value. Nifty Neveelk is much better than his recent form suggests and he is blessed with loads of natural early speed. There doesn’t appear to be much speed drawn around him and if he can step on terms he should find himself in the firing line initially. I would expect him to be around the $10.00 mark and if he does lead, there isn’t anything in this line up that can pick him up.

Exciting Queenslander Chant has drawn well in his Victorian debut, but the fact he will be having his first look at the track is a major concern. He’s in good hands and does have a great record from this draw. Obviously if he handles the track he will be a major player but I’m not willing to take the short odds.

Len Wayne caught the eye at Sale last start and he continues to improve with every run, whilst Blurred Lines looks well placed in the eight box. Must include these two in the exotics and quaddies.

Top Four:             4 – 1 – 5 – 8

Suggested Bet: Win bets on Nifty Neveelk and Len Wayne, both should be great value.

 

Race 6 – 595M Grade 5 Final – 8:52PM

The highly promising Campaspe Will is expected to start favourite and he did score an impressive all the way heat win, however tonight from the wide draw I think he is the lay of the night. There appears to be a lot of genuine early speed drawn underneath him and I think he will be no closer than six off the fence the entire trip.

With notoriously slow beginner Nockabout Aussie drawn underneath, the highly consistent Jewel Bale should get every chance to find the rails early and return to the winners list. Last week in her heat she copped a knock at a crucial stage, however she got going again and managed to get within two lengths of Campaspe Will.

Allen Deed has been pinging the lids in recent times and when you have good box manners, the middle pin can be an advantage on these bend starts. I expect he will be in the mix early and he is quite strong in the run home.

Nockabout Aussie and Hello Good Bye look to be the only other winning hopes. Both have enormous talent but both are not known for their consistency.

Greyhound Betting Tips Tuesday 8th April

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 6 Box 1 Give You Credit, 5.32pm

A Grade 5 final here with a few winning chances. Give You Credit started favourite last week from box three but was only able to manage fourth in a slow 31.09, beaten five lengths by Hara’s Annie. Only two starts back he flew around Albion Park in a very smart 29.93 from box seven and based on that performance alone, he’s far too good for any of these runners in this race. Boxes make the difference and last week from box thee he found trouble before running home nicely to finish fourth. From box one here today he should begin quickly and find the bunny from the start. Once out in front and in open space, he looks capable of running around about the 30.50 mark, far quicker than the others are likely to run in this. My only concern is that he has had four starts here, and failed to run a place on each occasion.

Give You Credit is a son of first season sire Outta Credit and the very good broodbitch Where Are You, who has produced sub 30.00 second runners at Albion Park in each of her three litters. Give You Credit looks a great chance from box one and if odds of $3.50 is available, I suggest you jump on and take it. The main danger looks to be Dahomey Mahginny who is a litter mate to Give You Credit. She has been racing super well of late and last week recorded a solid 30.82 from box five, but box five today makes it tough and she will need to get straight to the front early to challenge.

Give You Credit looks the one and has the right box, so load up at Sportsbet with the $250 free bet.

Lismore Greyhounds Race 2 Box 1 Blue Size 7.05pm

This fellow flew around at Casino last start and looked really impressive in doing so. He jumped from box seven and crossed the field in a flash and raced away for a comfortable victory in a fast 27.58. Two starts back he finished runner up here at Lismore when recording a PB of 24.43. He’s been racing in super fashion and he’s improved out of site in his past three starts. Blue Size is a son of Elite Blue Size, a former Maitland track record holder and star sprinter. Box one will suit him and if he can begin like he has been he should lead all the way.

The main danger looks to be the consistent Hazle Rose Hi who has been racing well here finishing in the placings three of her last four starts. She can begin well to challenge and looks a threat should she come away from the squeeze box quickly.

Punters should be able to get $3.00 plus about Blue Size fixed at one of the corporates.

Mandurah Greyhounds Race 7 Box 1 Limo Special, 10.05pm

This dog is resuming from a spell and at his best is a flying machine. He was out of form before being given a spell by his trainer Bill Skipper. He returns to the track tonight and looks a real winning chance from box one. His record here over the trip is fair, but he has run a fast 22.78 previously. He’s not that well suited to the inside and does prefer it outwide. Generally speaking he doesn’t begin all that well but being fresh he should begin much better then he’s usually does. If he can lob in a handy position he will be charging at them late in the race.

Don’t go taking silly odds though, he looks to be a $6.00 chance in a race that has a few winning chances. The main threat is Vic Gundi, who is racing in great fashion and will race forward early and be super hard to beat.

Greyhound Betting Tips Monday 7th April

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 9 Box 7 Sonnet’s Special, 9.26pm

Sonnet’s Special for Northern Rivers trainer Matthew Reid gets a chance here tonight from out wide in box seven. His run on Thursday night from box six was a pretty handy gallop when he took on a much harder fields than he’s tackling tonight. Sonnet’s Special was beaten that night in a moderate 30.34 by two lengths, but that wasn’t a bad effort when you consider it was his first 520 metre race in a while and his first attempt here and Albion Park. Generally speaking he can show pretty good early toe and has won over the short and long journey at Grafton in very fast time.

Matthew Reid had a winner on Thursday night with Miner’s Moss who exited from box one when an all the way winner in fast time. Box six runner Summer’s Bug looks the early leader and if Sonnet’s Special can go with him early, he should be able to outstay him in the run to the line. Both Trident and Vanilla Bliss look hopes but both will need to find there way forward early.

I’d say around about the $5.00 – $6.00 mark will be available for Sonnet’s Special and at that price he looks a really good chance in a race he can win.

Boxes 4,6,7,8 look the main hopes and punters looking to take exotics could try boxing these four runners in a boxed trifecta for $24 for 100%.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 4 Box 1 Bogie Diamond, 7.37pm

Really nice betting race here, and I reckon overs will be about for Bogie Diamond. Owner Les Bein and trainer Ben Rawlings have had great success of late with dogs that Les has sent across to be trained. Some have even broken 30.00 at Angle Park when they only looked like ordinary dogs here in Queensland. Bogie Diamond flew around Gawler last start in a sensational 22.68 and she should be off and burning from the get go tonight. She’s capable of running 520 metres although she has only recorded a slow 30.43 here. She looks to be hitting her straps now and if odds of around the $4.00 mark are about I reckon lap them up.

Box one is perfect because she’s got great early burn and should be off and gone in the first two sections of the race. Box five runner Dakota Premier is a very good young dog with four starts for three wins, with two coming in under 30.00 seconds. He’s got good early toe and generally spears out of the back in the leading division. He’s strong and can only get better. The question is though, if Bogie Diamond spears the lids and puts a gap in them will Dakota Premier chase from so far off the bunny, that could be his undoing.

Both dogs look the standouts and punters looking to take exotics should anchor these two in trifectas and first fours.

Launceston Greyhounds Race 1 Box 1 Gemstone Jack, 7.40pm

Tough 600 metre race here with a small field engaged. Gemstone Jack is a pretty handy chaser who has been racing in great form of late. The inside suits him and two starts back he recorded a solid 26.26 victory at Hobart in good fashion. He’s a little one paced, but as long as he doesn’t get buried from the red, he should be able to grind away to a win. He has posted 35.35 here and while it’s not lightning quick, it’s fast enough to win this. He should start around the $3.50 mark and is worth backing.

Painted Dotty is the main danger and she’s quite talented when out on the bunny. She can show early toe and if she happens to cut across early and take up the lead I doubt they will get past her, but Hellyeah Flicka can show speed so she should run cover for Gemstone Jack and in turn hold out Painted Dotty.

Shepparton Greyhounds Race 5 Box 8 Missile Flash, 8.30pm

This girl has been going well of late without much luck. She was unlucky in her last two starts at Sandown after running a nice race at The Meadows in a good time of 30.16. She seems to go best from the bookends boxes and she should find herself with plenty of room to let rip around the outside. She’s yet to race here but I have watched her here in Brisbane and she does have great acceleration. She seems to be getting stronger with racing and of she begins nicely tonight she’ll be in this right to the end.

Box one runner Check My Swagger is the main danger. He should relish the red and will take a power of beating from the good draw. He is likely to start favourite but he may be too short to back.

Stick with Missile Flash if $3.00 is about.

Race 1 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:12PM

The promising Allen Gravion is unbeaten in three starts to date and all of those wins have been in slick time. Tonight he should once again get a clear run initially and prove too strong for his rivals.

Rumero Reason caught the eye when winning over this trip from this draw last month. He should be able to get a nice sit in the early stages and figure in the finish. Pure Mayhem is also when drawn and must be respected.

She Can Whirl has shown an abundance of early speed in her career to date and if she can find the early lead again she looks well placed in this event. The last 40 metres is the only concern.

Trail Blazing has scored two top wins of late on the provincial circuit but he does have terrible box manners. He misses the start too often so he is worth risking. Dynamic Luke continues to improve.

Race 3 – 525M Grade 5 – 8:00PM

Yambla Mick has a tremendous record from this trap having been placed in all six tries which includes three wins. He recently beat a handy field at Sandown and with a lack of early speed outside he should hold the early lead and win.

Take Charge clearly has the most ability of any chaser but his box draw may bring him undone tonight. Allen Orville looks to be the main danger to Yambla Mick.

Race 4 – 525M Grade 5 Final – 8:22PM

He is going to be extremely short in the market but it is hard to look past Rumble Comet. After finding early bother in his heat, this black powerhouse put a space in his rivals off the back straight before winning in 29.85. Wins again.

Woodnear is  very reliable early and  with a clean beginning he should find himself setting the tempo once again. It is hard to see him holding off the favourite but he will give a sight.

In a race with loads of early speed, I think Cairnlea Ellie may have the sufficient speed to cross. She is first up from a brief spell tonight so the last 30 metres may pose a problem, however I think she will have built up a big enough lead.

Punch It could be the value in the race and should be double figures, but like Cairnlea Ellie she is armed with early speed. If she can find herself in front or near the lead she can salute at big odds.

Race 6 – 525M Grade 5 Final – 9:00PM

Osbourne Bale surprised a few when he came from off the speed to score at Sandown last start. Normally he is a very reliable beginner and tonight there doesn’t appear to be much speed drawn underneath him. You should be able to get $7.50 or better and he is worth an each way ticket.

Unix Bale tends to race well here and I would expect him to be hitting the line hard. Anchor him in your exotics for second and third. Bogner Bale is likely to start favourite and he would need to ping and lead to win this.

The ideally draw Good Odds Punk has found a leg of late and he is racing in career best form. Tonight he races over a very suitable trip and he exits a draw in which he has won eight races from and placed in a further six. He should be around the $3.00 mark and I think that is great value.

Alpe D’Huez is a class act but he has been missing the start more often in recent times. He may get shuffled too far back tonight. Abbey’s Hand looks the leader and if she can repeat her 34.21 Sandown win she will prove hard to catch at odds.

Gold Town is ever reliable and he is more than capable in this class. My only concern is that he will be giving them a big head start tonight, anchor him in exotics for third and fourth. Tams Wish has the speed to hold a forward spot early but she may be vulnerable in the last 40 metres.

The Darren Mcdonald trained Fancy Amigo is facing a big drop in class tonight and with an ounce of luck in the initial stages he should get the cash. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of early speed drawn underneath him so it would be no surprise to see him lead all the way.

Gimme Fuel is normally a reliable beginner and he should be able to follow the Amigo across in the early stages. I don’t think he can reel the leader in but he should hold on for the quinella. Usagi Bale is the run on dog, must include in the exotics.

In the toughest race of the night, I think there are two runners which stand out. Johnny Heritage has been placed in his past three starts and is bursting to breakthrough. He musters pace very quickly and with a clear run initially he will make his presence felt.

Spring Charlotte has had her struggles of late but she is dropping significantly in class. She has been finding loads of bother soon after box rise, tonight she may be able to get some room early and settle much closer to the speed.

Fearsome Mint had his first look at the track last week when solidly placed. He is sure to have derived a lot of benefit from that run and I expect him to improve dramatically. I Expect him to be vying for the early lead and to take control mid race.

El Roscoe has been racing in consistent fashion and he should get his chance to figure prominently again. With slow beginners drawn either side he should be able to settle close to the speed. He will be double figures and is worth a saver bet.

In the get out stakes, I think we can find some value. Soul Eater has a great turn of foot and with slow beginners drawn either side he should get every chance to muster speed. I expect him to settle in the first three and he will prove too strong in the run home.

Bit Berger has good box manners and she should be in the mix throughout. The last 50m may be a concern but she may have built up a solid lead in the early stages. Truly Royal and Buxton Miss must be included in the exotics.

Race 1 – 520M Golden Easter Egg Heat – 7:28PM

In the first heat it is hard to go past the classy and super consistent Dyna Nalin. Drawn perfectly and coming off a 29.65 solo trial here, he should get every chance to advance.

Allen Eryk has won four of his past five in great style and from his good draw he will get a clear run early. Dyna Nalin looks a good thing, but if Allen Eryk settles in front of him early, the favourite will have to work hard.

Fast Archer has a top record here but I don’t think he can keep up with the one and the eight.

In what is a very tough race, I think we can find some value. Varcoe is a smart Tasmanian chaser who looks ideally drawn out in the eight box. Armed with early speed, he should assume control mid race and get the cash.

Yogi Blue scored a strong win here last month and at double figures he is worth an interest. Ritza Raider is perfectly drawn but the abundance of speed in this race may cause a problem.

Race 3 – 520M Golden Easter Egg Heat – 8:07PM

The promising Rue De Kahn has taken all before her to date and with a record that shows three wins from five attempts at this track, she looks hard to go past. She is likely to be fairly short but she should lead from go to whoa.

Easton Bale returned to form at Sandown last start and he has a tendency to run big races at big odds. Look for Gradence to be steaming home late, include in exotics for third and fourth.

Mexico City meets some stiff competition, however from box one, he should pounce on the early lead and from there on he will keep his competition under extreme pressure. Although he doesn’t run a true 500 metres, I think he should build up a big enough break.

Warrior King has got plenty of gears but from the middle pin he faces a very stiff task. I expect him to go around as the favourite and he is a big lay tonight. Crawf’s Bread has early speed and must be respected at odds.

In what is another tough heat, Keybow is likely to start short odds but I think he may be a risk. Tomac Bale is much better than his recent runs suggest and from box eight he should get every chance to show his best form.

Frosty Jay Jay musters pace at a great rate and with a slow beginner drawn outside he should find himself in contention as they head through the first bend. Keybow is the class act, however there is a lot of speed in this race and he may get shuffled back early.

Race 6: 520M Golden Easter Egg Heat – 9:07PM

Boris Fields is notorious for going hard left at box rise, this means that There’s A Earn should get a great cart across in the early stages. Recently he set the track alight with a 29.80 Meadows win and I think he can repeat the dose tonight.

Ritza Hattie has a good record here and she can run crazy times on her night but her box manners aren’t the greatest. She is capable of winning but I wouldn’t be rushing to take the short odds. Double Trigger must be considered also.

Race 7 – 520M Golden Easter Egg Heat – 9:30PM

Innocent Til is the most reliable chaser in the race and based on his past three metro wins he should figure prominently again. He should be around the $2.50 mark and I think he may be the best bet of the night.

Walk Hard and Boyce Road are both capable of running ridiculous times but both have poor box manners and are likely to find lots of bother in running. Fort Allen has enough speed to settle near the lead and he must be included in the exotics.

Tonk is perched in his favourite draw and if he can reproduce his 29.57 win here in March he should lead throughout again. It’s a pretty strong race so you might be able to get $3.00 or better.

Buckle Up Wes recently captured the Australian Cup and he has won three of his five tries here. Normally a reliable beginner, he should pose the biggest threat to Tonk. Crump will need to improve on his 29.85 trial effort here.

Red Road will be very short and I think he might be one to take on. Magic Display caught my eye when placed here last week. Armed with early speed, she should cross to the early lead and give them something to catch at odds.

Calm Model can also ping the lids in her races and she should figure prominently throughout. Red Road clearly has plenty on these but from box six he will need all the breaks.

Greyhound Betting Tips Friday 4th Of April

Things didn’t go to plan last night and unfortunately Dapto was called off due to the rain. That only left us with four meetings. The main danger I selected in each race happened to win, and our top pick was left either in the pack or filling a minor placing.

Hopefully today we can have much more luck than we had last night, although punters who do follow my selections and happen to have a saver on the danger, should have shown a profit.

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 8 Box 5 Freddie Finch, 5.14pm

I’ve been tipping Freddie Finch here for a few weeks now, and it looks quite possible that he may get that long overdue win here today. John Pay, the trainer of Freddie Finch, decided to run his chaser at Albion Park in his past two starts. Both times that resulted in a fifth placing and Freddie Finch running around 30.70 for the 520 metre trip. He looks suited back here today at Ipswich and his record here is fantastic, with six starts for five seconds. It won’t be long before the son of El Galo brings up win number one for the 520 meter journey, if he can begin well from a his middle box and take up the early lead or at worst position himself in the leading division, today might be the day. Look for odds around the $5.00 mark.

Nice Mover looks the main danger from box three, she has recorded a fast 30.53 here and has a great record on the track with three wins three seconds and one third from 10 starts. The daughter of the Brett’s Rival should come out humming and if she finds the top, she should be extremely hard to run down.

This looks a great betting race and I suggest taking exotics and working around Freddie Finch and Nice Mover.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds Race 1 Box 8 Cawbourne Looney, 7.19pm

Race one is a staying race to kick off the card at Wentworth Park tonight. Cawboune Looney is the class chaser in race one and looks far better than most of these. The problem with her is she doesn’t like to go until she finds the rails and can be very inconsistent in her races. On pure ability alone she should absolutely kill these. Her best time of 41.92 would win just about every race here week in week out. She has a great record from box eight and has got the speed to jump, lead and clear these early on.

If she’s unable to jump and lead, she still should position herself in behind the early leaders and be far too strong in the run to the line. Its quite hard working at what price she will be. I’d say around $2.40-$3.00. Given clear room and the ability to find the rail she will be too good.

Box one runner Suits Us is perfectly boxed and he will be a big danger. Eleazar is also a talented chaser who can get the cash.

Geelong Greyhounds Race 12 Box 1 Bling My Day, 10.47pm

Bling My Day was extremely disappointing last start at Shepparton. He was one of the favourites that day and was expected to race really well, but never really showed any speed from the boxes or any mid race pace and just plodded to the line. We will forgive that run and go on his run two starts back at Sale where he flew. From box one tonight he will get his chance to jump and get straight on the bunny and I feel this will bring the best out in him.

He is clearly a very talented chaser and should be winning this if he decides to chase and run up to his potential. He ticks all the boxes and should be far too good tonight. The main danger looks to be Roman Baroque but he will need a speedy beginning and a clear path, something he may not get.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds Tips & Betting Preview April 4th 2014 – Part Two

Race 6 – 520M Special Event Heat – 8:58PM

Easily the best race of the night with four highly exciting speedsters engaged. Hooksy trialled here last week and stopped the clock in a slick 29.68. His first sectional was fairly average, but he is sure to improve on that effort. With two slow beginners drawn outside, he should avoid early bother and prove far too strong. If you can find even money it looks to be a good bet.

Bottom Dollar is in good hands and if he has had a look at the track in private he should be highly competitive tonight. In his four wins to date he has shown explosive early speed and if he can anticipate the start tonight he should find himself in front again. This will be his first try at 520m which is a small concern. I think Hooksy will have his measure tonight, but look for this bloke in the future to turn the tables.

Invidious and Indian Light are the remaining two that have winning chances. Both look to be poorly drawn and for them to feature they will need everything to go their way.

Silent Effective has looked super impressive in his five career wins to date and from the rails draw he should continue on his winning way. His box manners have been a small issue of late, but I expect him to anticipate the start a little better tonight. Fingers crossed he can ping out and hold the lead as it will be interesting to see what time he can run untouched.

Sir Redmond Was never headed last time at The Gardens when scoring in 29.37. The track may have been a little fast, however that is still a fantastic run for a maiden at the time. If he can step cleanly he is sure to be in contention throughout, the only concern is that it is his first look at the track.

Remote Control looks to be the only other winning chance. He has won here in good time, but he has been bombing the start in recent runs. He can’t afford to make any mistakes against these two speedsters.

My Kinda Music is expected to be short odds, but she is extremely hard to fault. She has won her past seven starts,  with two of them being in track record times at Temora. Two weeks ago she pinged the lids here and ran 29.89 in her first try over 520m, so I expect her to improve on that time.

Waymore Blues is another reliable beginner and he is the only one that can worry this favourite. Last week he gapped a top field at Maitland hitting the line quite solidly, so the extra 70 metres shouldn’t bother him too much.

Fusaichi Kahn comes here with strong Albion Park form but he is a tad unlucky to be drawn into this heat. He is a little hit or miss early and he can’t afford to make any mistakes at box rise here. Majestic Odessa may be the blowout chance if he can get across untouched.

In a race with a few chances, I think the gun Victorian chaser Living Proof is drawn to feature. From box eight this striking black speedster should get every chance to muster pace early which will allow him to settle in the top two as they head through the first bend. He is resuming from a four month spell, but he is in good hands and he will be primed for a bold first up showing.

King Odessa has placed in five of his six tries over this track and journey and with his smart early speed he should be in the mix early. In his past couple of starts he has struggled in the run home but I think he will strip a little fitter tonight and he should be able to test the favourite.

Bojack Kahn has the talent and the draw, however he may get shuffled back in the early stages as he normally takes a few strides to muster speed.

In the final heat of the night we will once again see a short priced favourite. Shoulders caught the eye with a blistering 29.73 win here last week from the same draw. I expect him to be $1.70 or shorter but he looks to be a good thing so it isn’t worth taking him on tonight.

Bobby Blanco has shown ability to date but he has been very inconsistent. If he can reproduce his 29.45 Gosford win a month ago he will find himself in contention for most of the journey.

Velvet Flame was impressive here last week but she may get carved up in the early stages. Cawbourne Rev is resuming from a short spell and she must be respected at odds.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds Tips & Betting Preview April 4th 2014 – Part One

Race 1 – 720M Special Event – 7:19PM

I think the enigmatic Cawbourne Looney can kick start the night for everyone on a quality night of racing. With a smaller field engaged. which will definitely suit, she has the advantage of the good draw. Although she can be very hit and miss, tonight she should get every chance to muster speed early and if she can find the lure she will be running sub 42 seconds, which will see her get the cash.

Keen railer Suits Us is another who looks well placed in this affair. His last win came from the rails draw and he was desperately unlucky here last week when beaten in record time. He was probably going to finish within five lengths of the leader which makes it a very respectable run.

Folk Tails is expected to get a long way back early but based on her consistent form of late she must be included in the exotics. The rest of the field is made up of front runners who are all suspect at the journey.

Top Four :            8 – 1 – 7 – 4

Suggested Bet: If you can get $2.20 or better, load up on Cawbourne Looney at Sportsbet with the $250 free bet.

 

Race 2 – 520M Mixed 4/5 – 7:36PM

Swans Mavis was airborne early here last week when recording 5.38 to the first marker before scoring a brilliant sub 30 win. With smart beginner Another Sprite drawn directly underneath, she should be able to follow across and take over control soon after. It’s not an overly strong race, so if she can settle in the first two it is hard to see anything beating her.

Tricky Pluto is likely to be the equal favourite with Swan’s Mavis. The rails draw should suit however he has been slow to begin in his past four starts. If he can avoid some early bother he should fill the quinella spot, however I think he is a big risk

Another Sprite should be testing Swan’s Mavis early on but the last 50 metres is the big concern. Based on this she looks to be a place hope at best.

Race 3 – 520M Special Event Heat – 7:57PM

I think we may be able to find some value in this event. Oscar Keeping has been very unlucky in his recent runs. He should be around the $4.50 mark and although drawn very poorly, I think he can avoid early bother and run over the top of them late in the race. He is capable of running brilliant times and just needs luck.

Classy Sahara has been in ultra consistent form recently and although lucky last start, she looked very impressive in her 29.81 win here. If she can step on terms, she should muster to the early lead and prove very hard to reel in.

Outside of the two fancies, there are a number of chances to fill the minor end. Leica Destiny will settle on the speed and should be in it for a long way. Bouchard is likely to be in the market, however I feel that she may need a run or two at the track before she can show her best at this venue.

Race 4 – 520M Special Event Heat – 8:19PM

Queenslander Farmer’s Gold couldn’t have asked for a more suitable race when making his Wentworth Park debut. He has scored some sizzling wins at Albion Park in his brief career to date and he is sure to have derived lots of benefit from his effort there last week when resuming from a short spell. If you can get $3.00 or better, load up.

Invictive has won four races over this journey and from the pink draw she should get plenty of room to muster speed in the early stages. Her last 40 metres can be suspect at times, but when she does lead she can plug on for a little longer.

Zola Icon is another front runner and she has enough speed to hold them out. She lacks the class to win this but she can hold on for a minor spot. Jorelle is very hit and miss. To win this event she must lead and I think it is unlikely.

Race 5 – 520M Special Event Heat – 8:36PM

Cawbourne Whip is much better than her recent form suggests. In tonight’s event she is likely to go around at the $4.00 mark or better and if she can begin well, I think it’s great value. In late December of last year she won here in a smart 29.98 and a repeat of that would see her go very close again.

Irondale Bravo is clearly the most talented in the field, however she is having her first start at this venue and her box manners need a lot of improvement. The empty draw underneath will suit, but I still think she is worth risking at the shorter odds.

Fashion Princess seems to have lost her confidence of late but from her good draw she may be able to settle on the speed early and run a better race. She should be around the $6.00 mark and it may be worth having a small saver bet on her.

The Ron Ball trained son of Surf Lorian looks to be a great bet here tonight from box one. His form doesn’t read all that well, but he has been up against better quality dogs and raced from wider boxes. He’s been a little disappointing of late since returning from Sydney where he was given the chance to qualify for the Golden Easter Egg series. Unfortunately on that occasion he was unlucky and finished third from an outside box. While he hasn’t been in winning form of late, he has been around the mark and from box one tonight we should see a much improved performance.

He has a best winning time here of 30.04, and with a quick getaway and a little bit of luck early on we should see the son of Surf Lorian go close to that time. He has a couple of average beginners on his outside and this should allow him to come away from the boxes well and work forward early. He is quite strong and once in a forward position, expect him to be winding up in the mid stages of the race and looking to run over the top of these in the run to the line.

The main danger in the race is the talented Jungle Junction. She began fast last week and looked to be heading towards the lead before dropping out and finishing a distant sixth. If she can jump again this week and find the front clearly she should be very hard to beat. Okay Yetta from box eight looks to be the only other winning hope, but she will have to do it tough from an outside draw.

Stick with Flick Pass and look for odds around the $4.00 to $5.00 mark at Sportingbet. Great chance to deposit $30 and get $100 worth of free bets..
Punters looking to take exotics could try anchoring Flick Pass from boxes 2,3,6,8.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 7 Box 6 Mr. Donatello, 9.22pm

This looks a really good quality betting race tonight with three winning hopes. Mr. Donatello, Stop Scrammin and Suntory Gold all get their chance to win. Mr Donatello is the likely leader and should fire out from the outside and find the top. He was excellent in winning here last week when things didn’t go his way.

Stop Scrammin and Suntory Gold will both be spotting Mr Donatello an early lead and it doesn’t look possible that they can run him down if he finds the top from the get go. The only concern here is that he has been coming away slowly from the boxes. And if he does happen to miss it tonight he will need to show great pace to get around the outside. But box six looks perfect for him and expect him to be leading all the way.

If Mr Donatello does happen to find trouble then Suntory Gold and Stop Scramming will be finishing hard and look the only others likely to to win. Dyna Quilton gets his chance from the red, but he’s very unreliable and needs it easier.

Stick with Mr Donatello to win from Stop Scramming and Suntory Gold for the placings.

Dapto Greyhounds Race 9 Box 4 Lemon Aid 10.22pm

I’m not a fan of betting in maiden races, but Lemon Aid gets his best chance yet to break his maiden. He has been very consistent in his past few starts and is working his way up to a win. Box four makes life a little difficult, but he should be able to jump away well and navigate his way in behind them early on. In his last four starts he has run four placings from different boxes, so I doubt the middle box will cause him too much grief. He has a best time of 30.56 and that will be good enough here tonight to win.

The son of Magic Sprite has a great record here for five starts with three seconds an a third The rest of the field look very poor and it’s hard to find something that can beat him.

Don’t go taking odds on about Lemon Aid shop around and try to find at least $2.50 to $3.00. Maiden races are never easy but this looks a great betting race, so anchor Lemon Aid from a few that you like and hope for value at Sportsbet. Great chance to take abvantage of the $250 in free bets.

Hobart Greyhounds Race 8 Box 2 Blue Havilah, 10.08pm

This is the right sort of race here for Blue Havilah to win after winning three starts back at Devonport in fair time. He has recorded a fast 26.19 here and a repeat of that will see him win this by a couple of lengths. If he is able to jump and get forward early he should find the bunny and once on the bunny I doubt they can run him down. Box two isn’t ideal, as he does try to track a little bit wide, but he has enough pace to clear them and give himself enough room to move off the track.

Box eight runner Hello Benny is the main danger but he sort of struggles to win. He has had his chance in his past few starts to win, but hasn’t been able to get across the line first. Box eight makes life tough as he only gets away ordinary and will need to wind up mid race. Aston Fury in box four did something amazing last week, moving to the extreme outside fence from box eight. Consequently he ran far too wide and was unable to make up the ground, he could pose a problem for the dogs on his outside.

Blue Havilah ticks all the boxes and looks great bet here tonight.

Sandown Greyhounds Race 7 Box 5 Jewel Bale, 9.11pm

Jewel Bale made her long-awaited debut over the longer 595 metre journey here last week. She was brilliant in running second and was only narrowly beaten by half a length by Allen Eryk. Unfortunately she has drawn box five again and that makes life tough, but the daughter of Surf Lorian looks a very talented type. She has enough pace to jump away from the middle boxes and find herself in a forward position. If she’s able to get clear and find room to move I expect her to be mighty hard to beat. She should improve on last week’s effort and box five should see her start at fair price.

The obvious danger is Campaspe Will, who has been flying recently. He should exit box one very quickly and find the bunny from the get go and he’ll be very hard to stop if he runs out the 595 meter journey.

Jewel Bale looks the value and I expect her to start around $4.00 to $5.00 and she looks a great each way bet, and no matter what she does tonight she will improve on it again next week, so keep following her.

Sandown Greyhounds Tips & Betting Preview April 3rd 2014 – Part Two

Race 7 – 595M Grade 5 Heat – 9:11PM

Jewel Bale made her middle distance debut at The Meadows last Saturday. She was posted wide throughout but continued to hit the line before going down by a neck in slick time. Tonight she should find herself near the lead in the early stages and I expect her to be running time on the lure.

Campaspe Will is a highly exciting youngster who looks superbly drawn. His only knock is that he isn’t the most reliable beginner. Like I stated earlier, good box manners are required for the bend starts. If he does step he should probably win but you will be asked to take even money for him to step cleanly.

Premier Event and Oxley Major look to be the only other winning hopes, include in the exotics. Premier Event has the speed to lead but the last 50 metres is a big concern.

Race 8 – 515M Free For All – 9:35PM

The classy Marcus Joe looked highly impressive in his 29.34 all the way win here recently. He should have sufficient speed to roll to the early lead and there doesn’t appear to be any chaser in this field who can reel him in.

Mepunga Melachi is racing in career best form at present. He will be relying heavily on luck but he is armed with a barnstorming finish. Given a clear run early he looks to be the main danger to Marcus Joe.

Evie’s Entity is ultra consistent, however she does look better suited to a rails draw. There is a fair amount of early speed underneath her tonight and she may have trouble crossing. Great Spartacus looks to be another hope in the race.

Wise Ella looked highly impressive when scoring a brilliant 34.13 win here recently over 595m. Tonight she drops back to a more suitable distance and in a race which doesn’t appear to have a whole lot of early speed, she should get every chance to lead and score another metropolitan win.

Dyna Filbert loves to scrape the paint in his races and from the red draw tonight he should be able to settle a lot closer to the speed than normal. Dyna Filbert showed tremendous mid race speed in his sub 30 Geelong win last time and appears to be the main danger.

Tick Bale definitely has the class edge in this affair, but with a speedy beginner drawn outside he is likely to find himself strung up in early traffic again. Omar Gee must be given some hope also as he can run time on the lure.

Duchess Bale was never out of trouble here last week, tonight she has a very slow beginner drawn outside her and she should be able to avoid early bother. She has only had eight starts to date but she has recorded four brilliant wins so far. At around the $4.00 mark she looks to be enormous value.

Smart Maxwell should be pressuring Duchess Bale early and he should be in the mix throughout. If anything was to happen to Duchess Bale in the early stages, this bloke will get his chance to win. With the favourite drawn in box eight, you should be able to back both of these for a profit.

Hello Good Bye returned to his best at Cranbourne last week and he has his favourite box again. My biggest concern is that in five tries over this trip he is yet to salute.

Race 11 – 595M Grade 5 Heat – 10:38PM

In a very open race, I have settled on three possible winning chances. The strongest chance looks to be Speed Lane. In recent starts she has been leading for most of the race over much longer journeys. Tonight if she can step like she has been of late she should once again find the early lead and prove hard to reel in over this more suitable trip.

Allen Deed is the likely favourite and if given a clear run throughout he is the likely winner, however from the wide draw his poor box manners are likely to give him major problems. At the short odds I think he is worth risking tonight.

Nockabout Aussie is the blowout chance. Blessed with loads of talent, he just needs a little room to move in the first 50 metres and he will make his presence felt.

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:58PM

The last race is probably the most open event on the night with at least six winning chances. I’m looking for a bit of value and I think we can find it with Sky Fighter. Normally a reliable beginner, he should have enough speed to cross the inside two and if left in front he should get the cash. He should be around the $6.00 mark, which is a nice way to finish the night.

Tiggerlong Chief is another who is likely to settle on the speed. His recent runs have been a tad disappointing, however I think he is suited in this class tonight and he has the favourable draw.

Dyna Geldof and Humphrey Bale are the two likely favourites. There is a fair bit of speed in this event and I think from the inside draws they may find themselves buried a long way back in the early stages.

Shot To Bits is an exciting prospect who was luckless when placed at The Meadows late last month. Normally being slow to begin is a disadvantage, however tonight he should be suited. There is a lot of speed in the middle pins which should allow him to get a nice sit early and prove too strong in the run home.

Terrorizer struggles to run out the trip but he is expected to lead. He was narrowly beaten here last start and should give a bold sight again.

Billy Higgs is another who is blessed with loads of talent but he can bomb the start at times. From out wide he may get posted early. Moot Point is drawn ideally and must be respected.

My Bro Fabio has the good draw, but tonight I think it may work against him because he lacks genuine early speed. His box manners are not great and on the bend start he cannot afford to make any mistakes in the first 50 metres. I think he may be the lay of the night. He should be around the $1.80 mark so definitely worth taking him on.

Tyronimo has been in consistent form and I expect him to settle near the early lead. If he can reproduce the effort that saw him power to the line in his last start win at The Meadows then he should feature in the finish.

Immy Rose is much better than her recent runs and if she pings out, she can cause an upset at big odds. Zipping Rory has been luckless of late and must be included in the exotics.

Race 3 – 515M Grade 5 – 7:49PM

Silver Brodie does his best racing from the red draw and if he can step cleanly tonight he should be able to hold a forward spot through the first bend. In recent months he has scored some ridiculously fast wins and if he manages to hold the lead through the first bend it should be times and margins

Striking Blaze is surprisingly well drawn in the middle. In his last few runs he has been needing room early and been looking to get wide through the first turn. From his middle pin tonight he should be vying for the early lead and he will remain prominent throughout the event.

Proven Trendy makes too many mistakes in his races and is worth risking tonight. Missile Flash wasn’t disgraced here last week, keep safe at odds.

Race 4 – 515M Grade 5 Final – 8:07PM

The ideally drawn Mepunga Moss has been racing in dazzling form of late, having won her past three starts here all in slick times. She has run 5.04 to the first marker in her past two and a repeat of that will see her hold the early lead again. If she holds the lead it will be hard to see anything catching here.

Rumble Comet is probably the most gifted chaser in the field, however his poor box manners and awkward draw will see him needing a lot of luck to feature.

Wait Till Dark and Question Bale are both drawn to hold forward spots early which should see them finishing around the top four.

In what is a tough race, I think the middle pins hold the key. Galahad can ping the lids at times and with a wider runner drawn directly outside he should get every chance to drive through in the early stages. He should be around the $6.50 mark and that is great value.

Velocemente didn’t have a great deal of luck when placed here last week and if he can begin a shade better he should experience a clearer run.

Yoda Bale’s form reads very ordinary, but he is capable of pulling out a run at odds. Dyna Tony is expected to lead from the inside draw, however his last 50 metres isn’t very strong, so place hopes look best.

Top Four :    3 – 4 – 1 – 5

Suggested Bet: Have something to win on Galahad and Velocemente to win, both should be $4.50 for or better.

Race 6 – 715M Mixed 4/5 – 8:52PM

Sweet It Is has recently joined the powerful Darren McDonald kennel and she appears placed in a perfect race. There are at least four runners in this event that are suspect at running out the 715 metre trip and if she can avoid trouble in the initial stages, she should prove far too strong for this lot.

Fantasizzing is another backmarker who should get her chance to run past some tiring chasers. Two runs ago she wasn’t disgraced when placed behind Alpe D’Huez over this track and journey. Rarely a winner, she is a must for the exotics.

Heidi Go Seek and Lethal Three look to be the two main pacesetters, but both are a doubt over the journey. Heidi is likely to be second pick in the betting, include her for third and fourth in your exotics. If looking for value, Keep Grifter Bale very safe, should be double figure odds and can run a big race.

Greyhound Betting Tips Wednesday 2nd April

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 7 Box 1 Senor’s Mistress 4.47pm

Senor’s Mistress looks a solid bet here today in a race with only three possible winning hopes. She has drawn the red box and she should be capable of exiting the boxes in the leading division. She has plenty of dash and finds a leg once she’s out on the bunny and has posted a best winning time of 30.12. Last start she was only just narrowly defeated by the Ellie’s Flash, who came out again and ran a solid second on Monday night. If Senor’s Mistress can get forward early and make the pace she can win.

The dangers are Miss Kamikaze, a daughter of the very talented sprinter Gardam Prince, who looks to be really handy bitch in the making. She too has recorded a fast time here and has stopped the clock in 30.10 from box three. She should ping and go and is likely to race up with Senor’s Mistress for the entire trip.

Super Vision in box seven is the only other dog who can win, after winning super well Thursday night when pinging the lids and leading all the way on a rain soaked track. She too has done all her racing here, but hasn’t gone as quick as the other two. Box seven makes it tough for her, but she still very capable of running in the top three.

Punters looking to take exotics could try taking this trifecta combination, 1,3-1,3,7-1,3,7. Cost $4.00 for 100%.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 11 Box 1 Aston 4.36pm

Tough race, but boxes win races and Aston has box one and should punch right up here and hold out the outside division. It’s been a while since the son of Bombastic Shiraz has seen the winners dias, but he has recorded a fast 22.35 here, and a repeat of that will see him first across the line. He has a fantastic record from box one with five starts for two wins and two placings.

He’s has been racing in much harder company of late and the drop back in class will suit him. He should start at odds of around $5.00 and at that price he’s worth a eachway ticket. Uncle Vick is the danger after his solid last start performance at Gawler, when he clocked an a impressive 22.63 getting beat. So keep a close eye on him.

Cannington Greyhounds Race 9 Box 8 West On Raven 12.12am

The main two hopes in this are box two runner Freeway Sparkle and box eight runner West On Raven, trained by WA’s leading trainer Linda Britton. I just can’t bring myself to back the inconsistent and unreliable Freeway Sparkle, so the only other likely chance is West On Raven. Box eight will make it tough and dropping back from the 647 metre journey will prove a challenge. But she’s won here before in fair time and has developed into a faster dog since she last won here.

Linda Britton sure knows how to lead home the winners, so if West On Raven starts at odds of $6.00 or more I suggest having a go here. Freeway Sparkle is the main hope, but she’s been far to unreliable and costly and Id prefer to steer clear.

Look for value and it could be a race in which the exotics pay quite healthy.

Greyhound Betting Tips Saturday 29th March

We had a great day yesterday, with Spring Court saluting at Ipswuch paying $3.40 and Wilma Bale getting up to win at $8.40, beating our second pick Sweet it is. Punters who took Wilma Bale and the exacta were duly rewarded.

Tonight looks much harder, but I’ll do my best to try keep that winning feeling flowing. With selections at The Meadows, Wentworth Park and Cannington.

The Meadows Greyhounds Race 6 Box 1 Fort Allen 8.57pm

Fort Allen looks the winner here tonight from the perfect box one draw. He was unlucky last week when run down by Mepunga Melachi from box two when he flew away in a fast 5.04 first section. He should go just as good tonight from box one and expect him to have no trouble leading. He posted a PB here last start of 29.94 and a repeat will see him win tonight. He’s got a great record from box one and while there is a few that can run him down, he’ll probably have a few lengths break.

Nobby Bale looks a huge threat and expect him to be hitting the line really hard. Tyronimo also gets his chance, but may need to begin better and stay in touch early. There won’t be a huge price on offer for Fort Allen, but at nearly 2-1 he looks a really solid bet with all factors in his favour.

Nobby Bale can certainly fill a place or win with luck, so keep him safe and maybe back him for a place.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds Race 8 Box 3 Born Ali 9.50pm

The feature race of the night is the $25,000 to the winner Gold Cup at Wentworth Park. I’m going to go with Born Ali, who will be off and running early and will make her own luck. She’s a fast front running type as most know and can run out the 700 on the bunny. She does have require a little but of luck to win tonight and she will need Lucy Wires and Dyna Willow to jam up a bit. Lucy Wires has drawn well and has a booming finish, so with a clear run she can run over the top them.

Cawbourne Clooney could be the knockout dog, she’s a fast bitch but doesent really go until she finds the rails. With slow beginner Lucy Wires boxed on her inside Clooney should be able to find the rail really early on. So punters should keep her very safe.

If $5.00 or more is available for Born Ali fixed at the corporate bookmakers, then I suggest jumping on as she makes her own luck. A solid place bet could be Cawbourne Clooney from the suitable box and she could represent good place value.

Cannington Greyhounds Race 7 Box 1 Ash Flash 11.57pm

I doubt we will see many big priced winners here at Cannington tonight. It looks a card where most races will be dominated by the favourites. Ash Flash was beaten last start but will be primed and a better suited back here at Cannington tonight. There’s no doubting her ability and she has hit her straps since coming across from Victoria. Box one is perfect and expect her to trail in behind star chaser Magpie Bob.

He’s probably a few runs short of peak fitness, so expect him to get tired in the run to the line. He should spear out and make the early pace for Ash Flash. As long as Ash can find the rail and hold a forward position I expect her to finish far too hard for these here tonight. Great bet well boxed and no excuse here tonight.

Race 1 – 525M Maiden Final – 7:13PM

Little Turn finally gained some luck in running and that allowed the Darren McDonald trained speedster to score a smart all the way heat win last week. If he can repeat his 5.11 sectional, he should have no trouble crossing early and getting the cash.

Footluce Diva was far from disgraced in her heat and from the good draw she should be pressuring the favourite throughout.

Estrela Escura and Dr. Rahoual are both improving types who look to be the likely hopes to fill the minors.

Unix Bale has plenty of gears but her lack of early speed is always a concern. Obviously with luck early she will feature, however with her racing pattern she would be a solid anchor for second and third in your exotics.

In a race where Cheap Currency is expected to start odds on, I think it is best to look for some value. I can’t split Sky Fighter and Proven Looper. Sky Fighter is expected to ping and challenge for the lead whilst Proven Looper musters pace quickly and he should get a nice cart across early. Both should be at least $4.00 or better. So if you have something on both you should double your cash.

Cheap Currency has plenty on these when it comes to ability, however his box manners are terrible and I expect that he will be giving them a big head start.

Top Four :    7 – 8 – 3 – 4

Suggested Bet: Sky Fighter and Proven Looper both to win, take some exotics with Cheap Currency to run second or third also.

Race 4 – 525M Grade 5 Heat – 8:20PM

Dyna Orion has scored two brilliant wins here recently and he is expected to be odds on. Tonight I think he is the lay of the night. His first sectionals have been average to date and he is likely to get strung up in traffic early.

I am expecting Closing Time to pounce on the early lead and win comfortably. She has been placed in seven of her past eight starts and she is very consistent with her box manners.

Squall Bale could be the blowout chance, he is much better than his recent form suggests.

Probably the most open race of the night, My Bro Fabio has them all covered for ability but he is likely to be spotting them an enormous head start. Ollie Bale has experienced a limited amount of luck recently and with so much pace drawn underneath he should get a nice sit early and have his chance to return to the winners list.

Godric Grydindor scored a powerful 29.62 Sandown win last time and from the good draw he will be a major player again. Radinka Bale has a smart record here but she may struggle to cross from out in box six.

He recently broke 27 seconds at Horsham and a repeat of that would see him proving too strong here.

The quinella spot should be filled by early leader Fort Allen, he has been in consistent form of late and he is likely to be fairly short.

Hawk Alone rarely runs a bad race and he just needs an ounce of luck early.

Woodnear has the gun draw and he has won his past five starts in brilliant style. The brother of Ernie Bung Arrow is normally a very reliable beginner and if he can step on terms again, he should have no trouble holding the early lead and winning.

Bazza’s Gift beat a top field at Sandown in early February and when given space in the early stages he can muster pace very quickly. With Woodnear leading he should get a nice sit early and he may give the leader a big fright.

In a race with a number of chances, I think we can find some value. Yoda Bale is armed with blistering early speed and if he can begin cleanly he has more than enough speed to cross. He should be around the $12 mark and is worth an each way bet.

Empire Allen should follow Yoda across early and although disappointing at Sandown last week, he can atone here as he loves this track.

Clone Your Own will bomb the start but he has great mid race pace, must for the exotics

Race 9 – 525M Grade 5 Final – 9:57PM

Lonesome Pirate is blessed with ridiculous talent but he doesn’t always show it. Drawn in the red box, tonight he gets his chance to drive to the early lead and he should be running sub 30 on the lure.

Lou Todd got to the line strongly in his 30.23 heat win and with some luck early he should be a major player again.

Cosmic Rush must be respected at odds and do not leave out of your exotic bets.

After an unsuccessful staying attempt, Allen Eryk drops back to his favourable 600m journey. With slow beginners drawn either side he should get all the breaks early and if remains untouched he should get the cash.

Knockabout Aussie is a frustrating chaser, he has lots of gears but has a tendency to find trouble in running. He is likely to get back early but look for him to be screaming home.

Jewel Bale makes her middle distance debut and she gives every indication that it will suit.

Wise chief led for a long way in his top Horsham placing recently and if he can settle near the speed again he should be a major player.

To finish the card we have the toughest race of the night. I think this is a race where you can have something on a few runners at value. I am expecting Pepper Fozz to lead and she was far from disgraced when placed here last week. She will be double figures and worth an each way ticket.

Why Not Wayne is the most talented in the race but he will be relying on luck early. He will also be double figures. Fearsome Mint is the likely favourite and I think he might struggle in his first look at the track.

Greyhound Betting Tips Friday 28th March

Our best result was White Prado winning easily at Hobart last night at $3.90 and the trifecta in the same race in order, which paid $18.00 . The rain played havoc at Albion park and a we saw a few upset results. Our main bet for the night, Pearl Za Zinger, was quite disappointing after missing the start and finishing fourth. Had she jumped I feel she would have won, so keep a close eye on her. It wont be long till she wins.

The run of the night has to go to the former W.A chaser now trained in S.A by Troy Murray Rulebook, who completely thrashed a quality field and run the hands of the clock, running a blistering 29.26 at Angle Park.
Punters with a keen eye will be aware Troy often has great success with dogs who come across form W.A with poor form. Rulebook was heavily backed early on and opened up extremely short, but drifted to odds of $6.00.

Infinite Wish was unlucky at Sandown over the staying trip and she’s been super consistent of late. She stormed home from near the rear to only just go down. She is well overdue for a win and it looks likely no matter where she starts next, she’ll just win. So stick with her.
 

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 4 Box 2 Spring Court, 3.57pm

Plenty of winners here today at Ipswich. Spring Court for leading trainer Col Byers could be the overs in race four. He is a pretty handy type and is racing in solid form. I really try to steer clear of short course bend starts as they are a recipe for disaster, but he looks capable of getting away quickly and finding the rail before the majority of the field. Once he is on the lure and in clear galloping room he can carve out a fast enough time to win.

Sox And Crocs and Madraski look the main dangers and they are likely to start the favourites. Sox And Crocs hasn’t drawn well and he will need all the luck he can get. Madraski is likely to make her own luck and will be off and burning from the outset. Cee Eh Oh is the only other likely winner, but box seven makes it hard if she doesn’t fire out.

Punters looking to take exotics could box up runners 2,5,7,8 in a trifecta $24.00 for 100%

Wentworth Park Greyhounds Race 6 Box 5 Billy’s Shelby 8.58pm

Tough Garden to Wenty race here tonight. Wentworth Park can be a tough track to win on first up on and it’s likely He’s A Knight will start the favourite. Box seven is tough and while he was the quickest qualifier in the heats, I don’t like him here in the final. He may struggle to clear them early and I don’t really like his chances of coming from behind and running them down. So he looks a possible lay bet.

Box five runner Billy’s Shelby is my on top selection and she is likely to be the strongest runner excluding He’s a Knight. Black Bravo and Cowboy Ed look the early speed and both dogs are likely to fire out and make the pace. Black Bravo has had six attempts here and has only managed the one placing, so its unlikely he can win tonight. Cowboy Ed looks tested at the distance and is probably going to walk over the last 50 meters of the trip.

If Billy’s Shelby can lob in third or fourth then its quite possible she can run over the top of these in this. Punters should be able to find odds of around the $5.00 mark and she looks a great chance to win here tonight.

Geelong Greyhounds Race 6 Box 9 Wilma Bale 8.48pm

Wilma Bale certainly has the speed and ability to win this, but back her at your own risk. She burst onto the seen when winning her maiden in a fast sub 30.00 time at Wentworth Park and then shen followed it up with another fast victory. Since she’s been transferred down to Victoria she hasn’t been the same dog and has struggled to find her early form.

She is being stepped up here to the 680 meter trip in a attempt to get her to find some form. If she can get forward early and find her way onto the bunny she can run time and I don’t think the longer journey will pose to much of a problem if she races on the speed. The biq question though is can she get forward and find her way to the front, at her best she most certainly can. If odds of around $6.00 are about I suggest having a small wager and putting her in your exotics.

The dog to beat and likely short priced favourite is the super talented Sweet It Is, who has been recently transferred to the kennel of leading trainer Darren McDonald. She has a huge motor and if she stays in touch with them early she can run right over the top of them.

Greyhound Betting Tips Thursday 27th March

Tonight’s main attraction will be the running of the Maitland Cup, with Maitland taking over the usual time slot of Dapto. Paw Licking looks to have a stranglehold over the race after lowering the record in the heats last week. 9.58pm the lids fly open and $40,000 awaits the winner.

Its not great weather here in Queensland and it’s possible that Albion Park will be called off tonight if the rain keeps up, which seems quite likely according to the forecast. I’m not a big fan of wagering when the it rains, I feel it affects some dogs more then others. I remember an incident at Albion Park one night, when a daughter of the champ Miss Grub was odds on favourite to win. It was pouring rain and she had to be dragged to the boxes. The lids flew open and only seven runners came out, with the odds on pop deciding it was too wet. She walked around the boxes and back under the shelter. So keep that in mind when punting tonight.

Albion Park Greyhounds Race 3 Box 3 Pearl Za Zinger 7.26pm

Its quite a hard card tonight at Albion Park, and its likely to get harder if the rain keeps up during the meeting. Speedy beginner Pearl Za Zinger looks a great each way show here tonight in this 5th grade. Her past couple of starts have been good and she’s only been beaten by small margins. The daughter of Surf Lorian and Kaycee Diva can begin well to lead, with box seven runner You Say So the only other likely leader. Two starts back she recorded a personal best of 30.15 and if she runs up to that here tonight, she’ll be mighty hard to stop.

Pearl Za Zinger looks capable of setting up a couple of lengths break on the majority of the field and will keep going all the way if she doesn’t get too much pressure. You Say So is the likely pressure dog and he won well Monday night from the same box. These two runners look the likely leaders for the majority of the race and can run first and second here.

Box four runner Flick Pass, box six runner Jungle Junction and box one runner Big Dac look likely to fill the placings respectively. My only concern is Pearl Za Zinger and YouS ay So could tangle up, and if this does happen, it is likely to open the race right up.

Eachway Pear Za Zinger, speedy and boxed well, great chance. Look for $5.00 fixed at Sportingbet.

Angle Park Greyhounds Race 3 Box 2 Encosta Kahn 7.55pm

Encosta Kahn is once again tonight’s Angle Park selection. He’s been unable to get across the line first here the last three weeks when he’s looked the outright winner. He has drawn the two box here tonight and he should have no excuses in getting across over to the rail, even if Victa Sam does beat him out he should be strong enough to take over early on. HE is still racing really well and he still looks capable of breaking 30.00.

Victa Sam at his best can win and he looks set to run a much improved race here from the inside trap. He has always raced well here and looks likely to gain a clear trouble free run early on, which should see him get closer to the bunny than he has been for a long while, which should result in an improved performance. Allen Illem from out wide can race handy and with racing luck he will be steaming around the outside mid race.

Encosta Kahn win only and last chance at around the $2.30 mark with Sportsbet.          

Maitland Greyhounds Race 6 Box 3 Nosey Rozy 9.14pm

We all know how good Nosey Rozy is, but I just hope we see the best of her. At her best she’s a likely group winner. Rozy is a track record breaker and a flying machine when on song and she returned from a long injury lay off and went like a rocket here last start after beginning slowly. She should begin much better here tonight now she has had that first run back out of her system. She has stopped the clock here in a solid 25.31 already, but she’s certainly capable of running much quicker then that. Box three suits and she can begin with them, before unleashing an early onslaught of sheer pace, which should see her put a gap in her rivals before racing away for a comfortable victory.

Lil Miss Sparkle is the main danger. She will get the run of the race and get her chance to show her brilliant early toe. She should begin fast and will be the likely winner should Rozy find herself caught up in traffic.

$3.30 should be around for Rozy and I suggest jumping on early with one of our many corporates.. Punters looking for value cant go past the ageless Yo Cool Maxie, who is back racing in superb fashion, winning eight of his last 10 starts at over four years of age.

Hobart Greyhounds Race 6 Box 8 White Prado 9.05pm

This is a clear cut three dog race here tonight. White Prado, Despicable Matt and Minnie Mogul look panels better then the rest of the field. White Prado is my on top selection and he has once again drawn perfectly in box eight. The son of Where’s Pedro was narrowly beaten here last week by Minnie Mogul as the short priced $1.20 favourite. There is no way he can start at that price again, not after being beat on his merits last start, and with the addition of Despicable Matt who posted a solid 26.36 here, which was just slightly slower then Minnie Mogul.

White Prado did look to have a bit more in reserve last week and it’s likely he can go much quicker then he did here when being beat. Its quite possible $ 2.80 to $3.00 could be around fro him tonight, so if he starts around that I say load up. He looks the winner.

Sandown Greyhounds Race 3 Box 4 Cee Ronaldo 7.46pm

This fellow has a motor and when on song can challenge some of the states best. His form is only very average of late, but with a quick getaway he can run time and prove very hard to beat. Box four isn’t much of a concern, despite it being the only box he’s yet to win from. He fell very early into his career and I feel that has always lingered with him, stopping him from fulfilling his potential. He is however a winner of nearly $58,580 and looks a chance to add to that tally here tonight. If he can begin and get across he will give them plenty to catch.

The main danger is the very speedy Osbourne Bale, who will likely spear the lids and head straight to the front. If they jam in behind then he looks the winner.

Cee Ronaldo could be overs in this so have a each way go here at him in this suitable race.

Sandown Greyhounds Tips & Betting Preview March 27th 2014 – Part Two

Race 7 – 595M mixed 4/5 – 9:11PM

In what looks to be a tough race, I think Ema’s Princess can turn the tables on Corridor after their encounter here last week. Drawn underneath her opponent this week, Ema’s Princess should be able to punch through early and settle in front of Corridor. On the lure she will take a power of beating.

Corridor tested the clock here last week when running sub 34 seconds. Tonight it will be a much tougher assignment to lead and therefore I believe his chances look limited to a place hope at best.

Duchess Bale is new to the middle distance and staying ranks, but based on her smart 600m Meadows win on Saturday, she will be a key player tonight and in the future. Dyna York might be a nice place bet at Value, you should be able to find around $4.50 or better fixed and he is worth an interest.

Top Four :    2 – 3 – 5 – 6

Another race which looks to have some value. There are potentially five possible leaders, which I believe gives a clear advantage to Buckle Up Mason and Premier Event. Both speedsters have enough dash to punch up and hold the lead and if either one is left in front they will take a power of beating.

Innocent Til has been in dazzling form but from out wide he is going to need too much luck to get across. At Even money or a bit better, he looks to be another great lay prospect.

Gold Town has the ability to lead or come from off the speed in his races. Last week he overcame a heap of difficulties to score at The Meadows and with some luck early tonight he can feature again.

Top Four :    1 – 2 – 6 – 5

Suggested Bet: Buckle Up Mason and Premier Event to win, should be $5 and $14 respectively, shop around the various bookies for the best value.

Race 9 – 715M Mixed 4/5 – 9:55PM

Berry Blitz makes her 700m debut tonight and she has given every indication to date that the trip will suit. In recent runs she has been hitting the line hard over shorter trips. From her good draw, she should get plenty of room early to balance up and make her big move mid race.

Heaps Of Ability is another up and coming staying prospect who possesses a lot more natural early speed than Berry Blitz. If he can step on terms he should find himself a clear leader as they pass the post the first time. The only concern is the last 50m, Berry Blitz may just over power him in the final stages.

Tatty Fields and Boris Sent Me are both always thereabouts and they must be included in your exotic bets. Boris may be a tad under the odds, so if my fancied two can feature there should be some nice dividends with the exotics.

Stylish Baroque showed plenty of early dash when smartly placed here last week behind Scintillating. With a slow beginner drawn directly underneath, she should have no trouble finding the rails and early lead. When running second here last week she recorded a slick 29.65 and a repeat of that effort sees her win tonight.

Moot Point has been racing in consistent fashion and being armed with a big finish, he should find himself featuring in the result if he can gain an ounce of luck in the early stages.

Oakvale Flyer and Fortuna Allen look to be the only other two winning chances. Oakvale Flyer is hit or miss early and she must hit to have any chance. Fortuna Allen will rely heavily on luck in the initial stages, if she can settle in the top four she will pressure for the winner’s cheque.

Crowdza Captive musters pace at a great rate and after her three recent placing’s here she should return to the winners list. Eye Smith which is drawn directly underneath moves to the left at box rise which should allow Crowdza Captive to lead and score an all the way win.

Allen Orville races well from inside draws and if he can step cleanly he should find himself settling in the first four as they head through the first turn. The only knock on him is that he tends to find a lot of trouble in his races.

Silver Brodie has the talent to win but crossing from box eight may be beyond him. Man Of Manners was a former top grader, if he can recapture some of his best form he might be a nice place bet.

The Steve Shinners trained High Speed Chase can hopefully get us out on a winning note. This promising speedster has won four of his eight starts to date, with one of those being over this track and journey in a slick 29.47. This race lacks genuine early speed so it’s easy to see him making every post a winner.

Dello Bale has scored three of his four career wins from the red box and if he can run his normal 5.15 to the first marker, he should settle in a prominent position early and feature in the finish.

Owen Bale looks to be the run on dog in the race. Having had no luck in his recent efforts, he will be hoping for an ounce of luck initially and if given it, he may be the blowout hope.
