Greyhound Racing Tips For Tuesday 21st May 2013

The tide is certainly changing with yet again another great winner. State Sensation did the job and paid fantastic at $12.90. He began brilliantly and led all the way. Quiz Bale the hot favourite was slow to begin and was never a chance. Terror Time also got the job done at $1.90.

Lismore Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 8 Far West Leader, 9.05pm

Fast bitch who looks set to easily score. Has run blinding performance trials and her litter mate, flew around at . Fast dog, great box will win.

Gosford Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 1 Honey Chicken 8.18pm

Nice young dog, who flew around at a couple of starts ago. He’s unbeaten here and will relish the inside box. He begins quite quickly and should lead from go to woa.

Warragul Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 3 Denesur, 8.08pm

This bloke needs his fair share of luck in racing but he has a big motor. He takes a few strides to get going but he has top mid race pace. He really accelerates with high speed. From box 3 he should settle mid field and if the favourite Dyna Ishan makes a mistake this bloke will pounce. Each way bet.

Greyhound Tips For Monday 20th May 2013

Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 3 Toein’ The line. 9.24pm

We are going with last weeks selection here in this Toein’ The Line. He wasn’t disgraced last week, and just failed to handle the box. Tonight he’s drawn box 8 and he looks a much better chance from closer in. His overall time was ok, and I expect him to take great benefit from last weeks run. It’s a ordinary field and he looks set to score here tonight.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 Ritza Luke 8.56pm

Quick dog who loves the red and has drawn the right box here to win. It’s no easy race and there is a couple of winning chances. He’s not the quickest dog in the race, but does go well enough to win this. He can lead from box 1 and it’s probably his best chance of saluting here. His latest form is terrible, but im hoping the box makes the difference here. Each Way.

Bulli Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 1 Ritza Joe 7.50pm

Going with another Ritza here in Joe. He to has drawn an inside box and looks as of he’s going to be hard to beat. He’s had the 5 goes here, for 1 win and 5 thirds. He’s run fair time here, but his form at other tracks is fantastic. He’s the winner of 6 races from 13 starts. From box 1 he should be able to boot through and hold the early lead. He can run quick time, and looks the likely winner here tonight. Stuzzichino, appears the main danger and these two look a great pair to work around tonight.

Launceston Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 6 Terror Time, 8.18pm

This girl is going to be short, but she looks the clear cut winner. Her run last time is was great. I’ve said this before, but I’m a great fan of this girl. Tonight’s race is quite poor and she should have no trouble racing right away from these. The box won’t pose a problem, and she should head them off early here and won easily. Irinka Adam, is the main danger and he can pose as a threat of our selection finds trouble.

Shepparton Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 3 State Sensation, 9.28pm

This bloke looks a great chance here tonight with an ounce of luck. He should of win his last start at the Meadows, but it took him a while to wind right up. I’m hoping he jumps better here tonight. He can certainly run the time it will take to win the race, but he’s going to need a little luck. The talented Quiz Bale has drawn very well, and she should lead the field up early. If our selection is to win he needs to quickly get into second and chase after Quiz Bale. Unless he starts at $5.00 I suggest keeping ya money in your pocket.

Greyhound Betting Tips For Sunday 19th May 2013

The tide appears to be turning with a few good winners. We managed to find a $5.00 winner Friday night at . Then
backed it up last night with Got The Life getting the cash at a healthy $9.10.

Today appears a hard day with tough meetings all around the country but we are gonna do our best to find something for you guys to have your hard earned on.

Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 2 Stratus. 8.09pm

This girl really looks a great chance here tonight in these 395m scampers. Box 1 runner Lo Siento holds the key and he’s generally a great beginner but is not very strong and is generally a sitting duck for a strong runner from behind; and today that runner is Stratus. She’s quite strong and all though here overall record here is poor, this looks the perfect race for here to salute in. She should jump and camp right behind early leader Lo Siento, and simply finish far to good for him here today.

Sale Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Zipping Man, 7.09pm

This bloke flew this lids last start at Cranbourne, and it took two flying machines to beat him. Those two runners aren’t engaged today in this and from box 1 he should easily find the top. The speedy Brent Bale is the danger but I doubt he can come from behind to beat our selection. If you go through Zipping Man’s form one would suggest if he leads any race he just wins, as he has been successful over the staying trip previously; but even in running third last start he did run a fast 30.50 and a repeat performance of that will see him salute here. He likes to rail, and looks a great bet from a great box.

Strathalbyn Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 1 Spiral Bound 5.56pm

This bloke looks home and hosed here in this race. Box 1 is perfect and he has a pretty good record here. He has a PB of 23.93 but I reckon he can go a length or two quicker. He’s not going to lead but should possie up 2nd or 3rd early. On his Angle Park form alone he should win this. Good dog great box and should win here tonight.

Nowra Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 3 Spring Blueboy, 6.54pm

Tough race here but were going with the fast Spring Blueboy. He has enough speed to lead here and if he does it should be all over. He’s a little moody and only performs at his best with a clear run. The inside two dogs aren’t great beginners and do take a few strides to get going. If he can clear them early and hold out the outside division, then he should easily run away with this. If he fails to jump and gets buried, I’d say your tickets confetti. He has to jump and find the front to win.

Best of Luck.

Greyhound Tips For Saturday 18th May 2013

Greyhounds. Race 9 Box 5 Got The Life 10.17pm

We are going to go with the speedy Got The life here in this. He’s had a couple of goes here and raced fairly well but this looks his best chance to win one. He takes a few strides to get going and this will determine his winning chances. If he can box well and gain clear running, and strike the lead he’s going to be mighty hard to stop. He’s stopped the clock in good time at Bulli, and lets hope he can stop the clock in front again here tonight.

The Meadows Greyhounds Race 7 Box 2 Dyna Dieter 9.20pm

Dyna Dieter may be able to pinch this race here tonight. He’s got plenty of talent and will have no trouble at all running out the trip. He relishes racing over this distance and handles himself well here at the Meadows. He should jump and lead, the only other two chances are Pop’s Max and Dyna Oats, the question is can he hold off both these dogs. He should be able to hold off Pop’s Max in the run to the line but Dyna Oats may be the main one he has to hold off. Dyna Oats is strong and will keep coming. With a great jump, and if his main two dangers find a little bit of trouble, Dyna Dieter may pinch this.

Cannington Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 8 Veyron Bale, 9.12pm

I remember watching this dog a while back when he put in a mammoth effort to run second here at Cannington. I backed him with supreme confidence last week and he easily got the job done. He seems to fly around here and although box 8 is going to make things very tough, I reckon he’s a great chance at good odds. $5.00 will be about the right price. With good dogs boxed in great boxes our selection will have his work cut out from the 8, but he loves the track and is going to be mighty hard to stop with a clear run.

Greyhound Tips For Friday 17th May 2013

Last night was a great night of racing. The Mighty just got there, but she looked out on her feet. She’s no doubt going to benefit from last nights run, but can she improve enough to take out the – only time will tell.

The Kiwi raider Clone You Own was superb and collected the $100,000 winners cheque in the Harrison Dawson; and the freakish Xylia Allen was simply breathtaking running down dual track record holder Punch One Out. I know both dogs are extremely fast but to run down Punch One Out was simply amazing. It had to be seen to be believed – run of the year so far.

We managed only the one winner last night but with a little luck things could of went the other way. Bens House was a certainty beat. He was knocked down on all fours early, and lost all hope but chased on and was only beaten 5 lengths on the line – a remarkable effort. He will certainly win again next start.

Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 2, One Inch Punch, 8.40pm

The former Jason McKay trained One Inch Punch is my selection here tonight. I’m not overly confident but he should be at each way odds. He has a motor and can go when switched on. In his last couple he’s looked very disinterested, but those runs where at Richmond and the Gardens. His Wentworth Park record is great with 7 starts for 2 wins and 3 seconds and a PB of 29.97. I think the key to this fellow may be a clear run and a look at the bunny. From box 2 he’s going to get a great sit early on behind the box 1 runner. He’s strong and is bigger enough to handle himself if the going gets tough around the first turn. This is no easy race and you can make a case for every runner but the change of Kennel and new scenery may do the trick here tonight. Each Way only.

Geelong Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 3 Stylish Lizbeth, 9.47pm

There’s a lot to like about this girl. She hails from a pretty handy litter, and is by the speed sire Elite State. If she had that little bit more early toe we would see her competing with the best in the city but she lacks a little early pace and needs room to move. Box 3 doesn’t suit but she has a fair class advantage on most of these. All she needs is clear room early and she should trounce them. She’s going to start favourite but, I suggest $2.50, anything less isn’t worth the bet.

Mandurah Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 8 Din’s Chappi 8.40pm WA time

We are going with this bloke here in a tough race. Any other box bar the 8 is nearly declare him but the box makes it very tough. He’s racing in fine form and out in a huge run over this journey last time out. I remember saying next start this bloke just wins. Well box 8 makes it very hard but he’s racing well and is a huge chance.

Best of luck.

Greyhound Tips For Thursday 16th May 2013

It’s an enormous night of racing ahead with Australia’s Best runners engaged at Sandown in Victoria. It’s a great night to be heading to the track with Eddie Macguire hosting a cash giveaway of up to $120,000.

The final of the for bitches, where Punch One Out will start the likely favourite. The Harrison Dawson, and the Queensland champ is likely to start favourite in it and last but not least the Heats of the Group 1 over 720, where we see the return of Australia’s best, the Mighty .

A wonderful night of chasing and no doubt the stands will be jam packed at Sandown with everyone looking to get a glimpse of the Might Miata. Just as Black Caviar did, Miata also brings people out of there lounge rooms and to the tracks to see the superstar race.

We have the usual 5 Tips again for you tonight, but were also going to have a go at finding the winner of the two Group Finals.

Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 6, Ben’s House, 7.22pm

Only 4 weeks ago I remember standing in the catching pen at Lismore, freezing cold and soaking wet waiting to catch a dog who ultimately ran last, but to my surprise, favourite Bens House finished second last in the same race. And I remember thinking gee, hasn’t this bloke gone off the boil. Well how wrong I was a week later he ran second at Albion and then won 2 straight. One of which was a PB from a bad box. He’s now racing with determination and a belly full of gusto. His last two wins have been excellent. Both around the same time, but at one of his wins he came out 4 lengths slower then he did the previous run. Yet still run quicker then he did the week previous. He ran 30.20 running a quick 5.76 to the mark, then run a PB of 30.18, running 5.96 to the mark. This suggests to me he’s going to get around the 30.00 dead mark here tonight. If he jumps, the others won’t get a look in. Box 6 is no worry, and the way this blokes racing I doubt he can be beat. There’s no dangers and he’s flying and should just win again.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 6 Aston Odin, 9.19pm

Troy Murray has this bloke back to his brilliant best. He run a PB last start and he’s gong to take all kinds of beating in this.
Ritza Ben holds the key in this for mine. If he flys out like he’s been doing, then Aston Odin will get a terrific run around the outside to sit right on Bens hammer. If this occurs he should be too strong and finish over the top of Ben here. Quite simply really! Not quite, Linguist is racing like a dog possed, and only a few months ago was stringing to win a race. But fast forward a few months and he’s absolutely airborne. He finds himself out the back again here tonight, but if they make just the slightest report up front. This bloke will give them wind burn turning for home. He’s a real danger and a huge threat to our selection. Aston Odin needs to ping and stay out of trouble, and highball along. One mistake and he’s gone. Aston Odin to win, huge watch on the flying Linguist.

Dapto Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 6 No Ruled League, 8.11pm

This is no easy race, but I really like the super classy chaser No Rules League. She’s a Dapto specialist and most of her massive career earnings of $113,000 have come here at Dapto. She has a super PB to her name and has only the one start for the one win here over 600 and everything points to her winning here again tonight. She’s a super quick beginner, but a mad railer and must find the fence early on. She should find the fence and if she does from the get go, Id be shocked to see something run her down. I love backing lid lingers, and this girl should be off and gone. Smooth Nitro and Princess Mea, are the dangers but they are going to have to do it from behind here tonight, if our selection jumps like she can.

Hobart Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 3 Terror Time, 9.22pm

I have no idea what keeps drawing me back to this girl Terror Time. Maybe I should just try and buy her and be done with it. I’m a fan of her and seem to be always backing her. Something a smart punter should not do But no one said I was a smart punter. She had great early toe and and win over all distances. This is no easy race and you can make a case for 4 or 5 of them. But I’m going with the little girl, and I’m only hoping she can ping and go. She can’t come from behind these, and her only chance is to lead and lead well. But she’s unite capable, and is going to be the value runner in this tough final tonight.

Sandown Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 1 Bronelly Lad 7.07pm

This bloke drops back in class here, and draws the coveted rails. 3 starts ago he posted a flying 29.44, and looked super impressive in doing so. He’s had to step up in his last couple and found it quite tough. But he’s back in his right grade here and from the red box, he’s going to take a power of beating. He can ping and hold his position around the first turn and that’s all he needs to do to be winning this race here tonight. It’s field full of good young dogs, and no mistakes can be made here tonight.

My selection for the Harrison Dawson is the QLD Champ Glen Gallon.

And my selection for the Sapphire is the freakish and talented Punch One Out, but she needs lots of luck early.

Our sponsors will all be offering fixed prices on tonight’s meetings and my suggestion is to back your charge with one of these sponsors – Sportsbet, Sportingbet, Iasbet or Luxbet.

Best of Luck.

Greyhound Tips For Wednesday 15th May 2013

Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 1 Kira Kawati 5.10pm

It’s been a while since Kira Kawati, has won a race and she’s only won the 2 races; but she looks very well placed to win here tonight over the 600. The trip will pose no problem and she looks perfectly suited to box 1. There only appears to be the one danger Sundance Tycoon. There’s not a great deal of early pace and our selection may be able to hold the early lead. If she does it should be all over. She’s quite strong, and can run good time when on song. She’s had the one go over 600, but from out wide she struggled to get into the race. From a better box, against a easier field, she looks mighty hard to beat.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 5 Red Tin, 3.34pm

I’m going to go against the flying machine Nicholas Jack here in this. He’s recently been flying over in Tas, and won his way through to top grade and then lowered the colors of the states best chaser Rewind. He was near unbeatable in Tas, but has a shocking record here in S.A. But he’s improved ten fold since he last raced here. However I’m going with Red Tin, a out of form chaser who has won plenty of races here, and has a quick 30.06 PB. They appear the two main chances. Red Tin, will represent the value, and he’s a great winning chance here with a safe start.

Richmond Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 6 Magic Santana 5.41pm

Magic Santana looks the obvious winner here in this. He has posted a quick 30.78 here and also stopped the clock in a quick 26.39 at Bulli. So he has a big motor. Future Winner the ex Queenslander, may start favourite from the perfect box. But I wasn’t at all impressed with her win at Ipswich, and I’m not to sure she can run out the hard 535m trip here at Richmond. My Big Digger, may pose a threat if he can jump and get forward early. But Magic Santana looks the one here, and his early speed should offset the bad box. We see Another youngster by boom sire here, and he should do the job here today.

Cannington Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1, Chosen Jewel, 7.27pm W.A time

We are coming back here for another bight of the cherry with Chosen Jewel. She was our selection here last week, but failed to fire. She has drawn much much better here tonight. The trained daughter of , can scoot along when on song. She has a PB of 31.06 but I have no doubt she can go much quicker, if she can many straight on the bunny. It’s a weak field and she won’t get a better chance than she had here tonight to win. Good dog, superstar trainer, and great box. A recipe for success.

Warrnambool Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 2 Famor Las Vegas, 8.08pm

It’s about time this fellow stepped back up to the winners circle. He was showing huge promise early on, and was flying. Since then he’s gone off the boil, and has been disappointing. But this looks the perfect race here for him. Gunda Bale, has early toe and should drag our selection into the race. He’s strong and can run very quick times when on song. The 450 will suit and he should finish to powerfully here for Gunda Bale. If he wins tonight, he may be one to keep following, when he returns to the city.

Greyhound Tips For Tuesday 14th May 2013

Only the 3 selections tonight, Lismore, Gosford and Warragul. There’s no meeting in South East QLD today. Townsville will take over the Ipswich slot with the first race at 4.04pm.

Warragul Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 2 Warm It Up, 9.08pm

Followers of our selections here will be aware of Warm It Up, a dog we have selected on a few occasions. He’s recently been racing over the 400m with great success but he’s a much better dog over 460. He steps back up here tonight and he’s going to be extremely hard to beat over the more suitable distance. He’s been landing midfield of late but he might be able to land alot closer here tonight. He has a huge motor and can really unwind when given free galloping room. He’s won here in 26.12 but he can certainly go much quicker and is capable of 25.80 with his best performance. Mucho Caliente was impressive last start and he will be the hardest to beat. But he has drawn the squeeze box here tonight and our selection may be able to skip right away here and open up to much of a break. Warm It Up, fast dog, great box and very tough to beat here tonight.

Lismore Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Heavyweight, 8.42pm

We’re going with the heavyweight here who has a great record from an inside box. He’s won 9 races from boxes 1 and 2 and has come up with the red here tonight in a suitable race he won 2 starts ago at leading throughout over the 600m trip. He’s no stranger to winning here and has won 4 races. He has a PB of 30.39 but that’s about as quick as they are likely to go here tonight in this. If he can jump and hold his position rounding the first turn. He’s going to be a huge threat. He’s quite tenacious and will hustle and bustle if the going gets tough. I doubt the early leaders will be able to hold off a couple of strong dogs mid race in this. Royal Oscar is the most experienced and fastest dog in the race but he’s slightly below his best, but this is certainly the race he can bounce back in. Keep him very safe in an open affair.

Gosford Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 2 Gambo Girl, 8.20pm

Our own Kat Ernst, recently wrote a great article on tonight’s selection Gambo Girl. Tonight’s 600m event looks a terrific race for Gambo Girl to salute in. Our Money Box the box 1 runner is a great beginner and can reel of good sectionals. If our selection Gambo Girl can stay with here early she should finish over the top of Our Money Box here tonight. She looks a nice young dog Gambo Girl and it appears she will be at her best over 600. She flew the lids and went super winning at 2 starts ago. She had no luck last start and will be hard to beat here tonight.

Greyhound Betting Tips For Monday 13th May 2013

Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 8 Toein’ The Line. 7.42pm

This bloke was recently purchased for a big sum after his slashing 22.91 victory at Grafton. He hasn’t raced for 5 weeks and it appears he’s been set here for this. The litter are going quite well and have proven they can run the 500. So there’s nothing to suggest he can’t win and win this well here tonight. Box 8 will give him plenty of room and he does posses a bit of early toe. They have come along way from Yorklea to race here tonight, and they should get the cash.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 5 Jet Blast, 6.35pm

We are going with the slow beginner Jet Blast here. It appears a race he can win with his fair share of luck. With his best jump he can race in a forward position here tonight, but I doubt whether he can produce his best jump here tonight. I suspect he will 5th or 6th early on, and will be hard up against the rail. But he does storm to the line and can certainly run quick time when things go his way. He’s going to be value and punters should get about $7.00 about him.

Bulli Greyhounds Race 8 Box 6 Lightning Impact, 9.32pm

We have tipped this bloke, then tipped against him and now were back tipping him. He’s had two fantastic chances to win at of late and blown both. But I reckon punters will shy away for him here tonight and hopefully he starts at backable odds. Box 6 will be no trouble and he can begin very fast, and clear out here in this. Voltage Peak appears the main danger, but I’m confident out selection can skip away early and make it very difficult for Voltage peak to catch him. He’s going to be backable odds, and he gets his chance to win here tonight.

Launceston Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 1 Pendle Beri, 9.20pm

We might get good value in backing Pendle Beri here tonight. His form is bad, but he hasn’t been going all that bad. His last run wasn’t that bad, considering he generally needs to lead to win. From box 1 here tonight he may be able to bounce straight on the bunny and if he finds it from box rise, he’s going to he hard to run down. His box 1 record isn’t that flash, but he can certainly use it to his advantage here tonight. Eachway chance.

Shepparton Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 8 Aeroplane Eddie, 9.48pm

We are going with a shorty here tonight but he should just win and win easily. He’s only going to be $1.50, but he’s a great anchor in a multiple. He’s got plenty of talent and looks a real good one in the making. He should easily lead and it will be times and margins please judge. They’re pretty even behind him and it’s going to he hard to split them; but one things for sure Aeroplane Eddie should sail away from these.

Greyhound Betting Tips For Mother’s Day Sunday 12th May 2013

Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 2 Stop Scrammin’ 6.44pm

The perfect race here tonight for the trained Stop Scrammin’. The field has depth and you can’t rule out any of the runners. Phantom Dottie began like rocket last time here and was run down and finished second. Phantom Dottie is going to give our selection the perfect run in the race. Phantom Dottie should spear out and make the race for our selection. He steps up to the 600 here for the first time but he’s been hitting the line hard. He should trail early and finish to powerfully here. You can make a case for all runners, but I’m going with the best drawn runner here.

Sale Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 2 Benmar Pete, 7.12pm

I really like the chances of Benmar Pete here. He has run good time here and has early pace. Miss Mercantile, the former Queenslander may start the favourite, but she’s very moody and I’m prepared to lay here. Our selection has a good record and prefers inside boxes. With his best jump, and a little luck punters are going to get a great run for their money.

Strathalbyn Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 Walkaway Cam 7.29pm

It’s never easy finding a winner at Strathalbyn. It’s great they race there and it’s well supported; but it’s really a goat track, and I find it very difficult to select a runner. Walkaway Cam is a slow beginner but he does rattle home hard. Box 1 will suit and and he is the winner of 10 races. He has posted a good time of 30.20 at Angle Park and if he repeats that performance here tonight he’s going to be hard to beat. He’s going to need a little luck but is a good each way chance here.

Greyhound Betting Tips For Saturday 11th May 2013

Diamond Sparkles did the job stylishly yesterday at for us. Jumping second he railed through early and went around the outside and powered away to win in a good 35.88. The price of $7.70 was quite a shock to me, as I was sure he would be around $15.00. He paid as little as $4.20 in NSW. A ridiculous price for a dog in poor form who hasn’t won a race for a very long time. Anyway he did the job and that’s what counts.

Plenty of winners on tonight’s card but they are all going to be short. Good dogs from great boxes and the looks to be plenty of them.

Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 2 Compass 7.30pm

This home bred bitch looks a special. She was beaten first up and then beaten again last week second up but she did improve a lot in her second run and she she looks as if she will improve here again tonight. She has the early toe to lead, and can run flying times. She’s just taken a couple of runs to handle the grueling 720m trip. She should ping here and land straight onto the rail, and race right away here with this. Lochinvar Blanik may put it to her early and he has plenty of talent but the trip will test and I’d prefer to be on her. Shes got plenty of talent and should easily win this here tonight.

The Meadows Greyhounds, Race 11 Box 1 Cross Cut, 10.42pm

I’ve been waiting for this bloke to draw box 1 and finally he’s come up with it tonight. He’s got a big motor and he looks to be developing nicely. He can lead here from box 1 and if he finds the bunny he can really carve out a solid time. He has already posted a a slick 29.52 at Sandown and a repeat of that performance will see him go very close to breaking 30.00 here tonight at the Meadows. Box 1 is a huge advantage and I reckon he’s a great bet here tonight. Allen Orville is the main danger and these two appear the standouts tonight.

Cannington Greyhounds, Race 4 box 4 Saving Bundles 8.10pm WA time

We are going with last weeks selection here Saving Bundles. She was held up last week at a crucial stage and it cost her the race. In the end she was way under the odds and I didn’t wanna be on her at $1.40.She should be a far better price here tonight from a awkward box but she’s clearly the best dog in the race and is going great guns. We should be able to get about $2.50 here tonight and at that price she’s a gear bet.

Greyhound Tips For Thursday 9th May 2013

Big night ahead with the heats of the at Sandown. Some cracking heats with the flying Punch One Ou, headlining the act.

Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 7 Top Story 8.25pm

Going to go with the flying machine Top Story in this. His form’s ordinary but we are all well aware of his tremendous ability. It’s the sort of race a dog of his talent should totally destroy. None of these can go 29.77 and if he repeats that its all over, but I highly doubt he’s going to produce that sort of run. He’s still capable of winning but probably not that quick. Box 7 will suit and in his last couple all he’s wanted to do is get off the track. He did win two starts back but was certainly in need of the run. He’s fourth up here and should be nearly 100 percent. There isn’t any danger, and all he’s doing is racing himself. If he’s 110 percent right and jumps its all over bar the shouting.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1 Laurie Lachlan, 8.14pm

Last chance Laurie is our selection here. He’s been beat in his last couple and owes us quite a bit but box 1 is perfect and he begins like a bullet. He has a PB of 29.88 and can run like the wind given it his own way. He must land on the bunny to show his best. I doubt he will start favourite, as there’s plenty of talent engaged. 29.88 the PB of our selection should easily run this race; and if good old Laurie happens to ping and go and live up to his PB I doubt they will be catching him tonight. Win only, if they head him early he’s no chance.

Dapto Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 6 Cough Drop, 8.11pm

Cough Drop is strictly a place bet here only. Kentucky Grove looks to have a mortgage on the race and he will start the short priced favourite, but our selection Cough Drop will certainly be great place value odds. Her form is very poor, but it’s a poor race and outside the top 2 it’s very open. I’ve actually backed her in her last couple, and I wasn’t all that disappointed with her runs. She will probably land mid field and stay 1 or 2 of the rail. She needs a little luck and can’t run into any bums and loose momentum. But with clear room and a little luck I reckon she may fill a place.

Hobart Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 2 Terror Time, 8.41pm

The versatile Terror Time is the on top selection here tonight. The daughter of has won over the shorter trip and turned her paw to the longer journey and also saluted over it. She has early toe and if she can jump straight to the front shes going to be mighty hard to run down. It really is that easy if she lands on the bunny I doubt she can be beat.

Sandown Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 1 Kasumi Rose, 7.44pm.

I reckon this girl is nearly the bet of the night. There’s plenty of talent in the race, but I don’t give Sometimes Speedy a chance. She’s been a little below her best of late , and quite frankly I don’t think she can run the time required to win here on the big track. I’m not doubting her talent it’s immense, but I reckon she’s going to get found out here. Purcell Bale may be the danger but has to contend with the bad box. Our selection flew the lids last week and went powerfully to the line at the Meadows, stopping the clock in a quick 30.05. There no reason why she can’t ping the lids again and lead all the way here. She has a PB of 29.63 and I reckon she’s going better now then what she was when she posted that time. Everything’s in her favour, huge chance and best of the night.

Greyhound Racing Tips For Wednesday 8th May 2013

We managed a couple of $4.00 winners last night, and hopefully we have turned the corner. Hanify’s Ruler put in a huge run spotting the leader a huge margin and running him down right on the line. Paua and Jewels also won and pinged the lids and led all the way winning by about 3 lengths on the line. A great result.

Onto today, and we have a couple more for you and let’s hope we can find a few more.

Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 1 Cecil Henry, 6.23pm

This is certainly no easy race to find a winner in, but as I’ve said before boxes win races and we are going to go with the box 1 runner Cecil Henry. It’s a little hard to work out this bloke at times he’s looked quite poor. Then in other runs he’s looked brilliant. He has a PB of about 30.34 and can begin on his day. There’s a mix of speed and strength in this and it’s going to be on from the moment the lids open. Not all the fancy runners are going to finish in the placings. Our pick needs to jump and rail hard, and he certainly needs a little luck go his way. I doubt wether he can win, if the strong runners get clear runs. So they are going to need to jam up a little behind but that’s quite likely with a mix of speed and strength. He will be value and looks a great eachway bet.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 2 Striking Viking, 1.35pm

I was a huge fan of this girls mum when she raced around Albion Park a few years ago. She was a great little stayer and has seemed to have thrown that strength into her pups. This girl is by the speedy Superman, and has plenty of her mums strength also. The litter mates have drawn box 1 and 2 here, but on precocious runs, Striking Viking looks to have a lithe more toe than her sister. It’s a maiden race and full of chances but our selection has a mix of speed and strength and she may do it from behind or in front. It’s a little hard to work out where are is going to land, but she will get a great run either way, and looks might hard to stop here in this. Win lose or draw today, we may see a little more of this litter in the future. Eachway in a tough maiden race, where dogs do things wrong.

Warrnambool Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 1 Werynski, 8.08pm

I’m well aware I’m selecting a favourite here but this bloke should flog these here tonight and he looks a great bet to heap into. He’s been with J. Thompson a long while now and I’m surprised he’s still in the leading Victorian kennel. Not because he has no ability, he’s a flying machine, but he really hasn’t done a great deal in the Thompson camp and hasn’t won a great deal of prize money. I’ve seen quicker dogs leave Jason’s kennel who have performed really well but as I said he’s a flying machine and has plenty of talent, and he’s well over due for a big win. This is a ordinary 5th grade race and from box 1 he looks unbeatable. A mix of speed and strength, and he should win and win this easily.

Ballarat Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 2 Dyna Iceman, 9.18pm

I’m not totally confident about selecting this bloke but he’s overdue for a win and has drawn very well. He has early toe and has won plenty of races. He knows what winnings all about and can certainly match it with them if the going gets tough. He might land on the bunny here as long as the Mucho Caliente, doesn’t ping the lids. Mucho looks the one if he has come back as good as ever; only the betting will denote that. If Dyna Iceman does lead then Mucho is going to get a great run in behind our selection here. It may be a good multiple race and I have no doubt if boxes 1 and 2 run first and second the multiples will pay quite healthy.

Cannington Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 5 Chosen Jewel, 8.57 WA time

If in doubt follow , W.A’s leading trainer for god knows how many years, has her charge Chosen Jewel engaged. Her last couple have been a bit below her best, but her winning run before that was brilliant. She’s been a bit unlucky of late, and looks well placed against these runners here. She’s not a great beginner but does muster quite quickly. Box 5 will be a tough ask but theirs nothing that really stands out here. If she’s the right price say 4 or 5-1 If be inclined to back her. Linda gets plenty of winners you could do a lot worse than backing Linda’s dog eachway here tonight.

Best of luck

Greyhound Betting Tips For Tuesday 7th May 2013

Another night of beaten favourite’s and a poor start to the working week. This losing streak can’t hang around for ever, so we will soldier on and do our best to find that elusive winner.

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 1 Might Be Me, 4.44pm

The son of Might Be Me, looks a great chance to notch up win number two here today. He’s been around the mark lately but hasn’t been able to crack it for that win. He meets a suitable field here today, and box 1 will be of great advantage. He’s a slow beginner, but does rail hard. He has a PB of 31.20, but he’s certainly able to go quicker than that. He doesn’t give up and will chase hard from a long way of the bunny. He will probably land 4 or 5th, and as long as he can navigate his way around the first turn and miss the trouble, he should be working to the line really hard. Eachway.

Lismore Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 1 Woobera Surf 7.23pm

Going with the Dart kennel here in this, they’re in form and there dogs are going well. This bloke has drawn the right box and did win he last start. The time wasn’t great but he did come from the rear early to get up and win. Box 1 at Lismore is of great advantage here and although they do sweep wide rounding the home turn, railers do reap the advantage. He’s pretty honest and has a fair record, and with a bit of luck early hell be hard to beat.

Gosford Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Paua and Jewels, 8.57pm

Box 1 bandit Paua And Jewels looks mighty hard to beat here. All our selections so far are jumping from box 1, a great advantage if it can be used. Lightning Impact may start the favourite, but he’s been beaten in his last couple and been a bit disappointing. Paua and Jewels on the other hand, has won her last couple from inside draws and is going great guns. Strangely enough she is yet to have started here but I’m hoping she adapts and handles it well at her first go. She’s had 7 starts from box 1 and won 5 of them with one placing. A great record. She has plenty of early toe, and can lead here with her best jump. She can run good time when out in front on the bunny and will be mighty hard to beat here if she finds it from the get go here.

Warragul Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 2 Hanify’s Ruler 8.50pm

I’m pretty familiar with this breed as a close friend has raced 3 pups by Hanify’s Ruler’s mum, Miss Hanify. The ex QLD has enormous mid race pace and can really break a field right open. But he needs a wide box and generally finds himself caught up in traffic early from inside draws. Box 2 is a risk, but the very speedy One For One should make the race here for our selection. One for One, will fly out and hug the rail, and hopefully our selection can have enough early toe to clear tuners 3 and 4. If he can do this and get to the outside he should have no trouble winning this race. The problem he faces here is, there’s plenty of speed boxed around and out wide and his winning chances rely on his ability to gain clear running early. Don’t take short odds and One for One may be the value, and at least we know he’s going to be leading then up early on. Hanify’s Ruler with caution.

Best of luck

Greyhound Tips For Monday 6th May 2013

The start of the working week, and hopefully the start of a winning streak. We have the usual 5 selections for you tonight, one at each greyhound meeting on tonight’s card.

Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 1 Sir Hara, 9.43pm

We are gong to have to wait until the last race tonight to hopefully find a winner, so hopefully if your behind it may be able to get you out. Regular followers will be aware of Sir Hara, a dog we have selected a few times before. Finally he steps up to the longer 600m trip. He’s form is terrible but he does have a huge motor. He can really fire out at times, but is very unreliable im hoping the jump onto The turn may bring him out running. I’m echoing his trainers words here when I say, “He’s the fastest dog has trained”; but it’s hard to believe when going through his form. Every one of the 6 runners can win this race so it’s certainly a tough field. I find that some dogs will produce there best run first up over the journey. Hopefully this is the case here tonight. He’s never really posted a slashing time over 500, but watching him race you can see the step up in trip will suit. It’s a great field, and he will have to jump and lead to win. I doubt he can come from behind these and beat them. They are going to go quick and 35.30 might just be enough to win the race. Surely the fastest dog has ever trained can run that. Back with caution and I suggest only each way.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 2 Awesome Surfer 6.35pm

This appears the perfect race here for Awesome Surfer. Both his wins here at Angle Park have been come from behind wins from box 5 and box 8. It’s tough for slow beginners and railers to win from wide boxes, but this bloke did it stylishly and easily in quick times of 30.06 and 30.19. He’s going to get the absolute perfect run here in behind the flying machine Smokey Assassin. He too has a great record and has also posted a very quick time. But he is very suspect in the run home and will he a sitting duck here for our selection. Awesome Surfer only needs to hold his running and clear the outside runners, to be very hard to stop in this. Smokey Assassin, to lead out early and Awesome Surfer to run him down on the line. Great multiple bet, and it looks a great betting race.

Bulli Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Romantic Lad 9.08pm

A shorty here tonight a Bulli, but he looks near unbeatable from the inside draw. The more this bloke races the better he gets. In his short but brilliant career so far, he’s won on 4 different tracks, and has won 6 from 10 starts. He’s aiming for win number 7 here tonight on once again a different track. He’s made light work of worse boxes and from the rails draw he should lead all the way. 472m will be perfect for him, and as much as I look I can’t find a danger if he does everything right. He’s going to be short so maybe a multiple night he the way to go. Paddy’s Reward might run the place here in behind the favourite, with a bit of luck.
He has posted a quick 26.50 here and he may get the right drag her into the race to show his best.

Launceston Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 7 Martello Towers 9.36pm

We are going to give this bloke another chance here and he won’t get a beater chance than he has here tonight. Box 7 will be ok, but he will need to navigate his way through them early. He’s the best and quickest runner in the fields but a little out of form. He was a fair bit unlucky last time out and he looked the winner then. So we are going to select him here again to to tonight and hops he gets the luck go his way. He’s likely to be one of the favourite’s, but $3.00 will be around the right price. I won’t be backing him if he starts any shorter.

Shepparton Greyhound, Race 6 Box 1 Five Percent 8.46pm

I really like the chances of Five Percent here in this tonight. There’s nothing that stands out as the leader and she looks a big chance here. Her winning record is poor and that worries me a bit, but she looks the one in a race of ordinary ability. She has plenty of early toe, but isn’t always reliable, and likes to gain clear room on order to unwind. The box 2 runner can also begin on his day, and if he happens to pressure our section early I think she may give it away. But if she jumps and does everything right she’s going to be mighty hard to stop. We are relying on her jumping, so we will know out fate a box rise. She has a habit of running a place so eachway is the way to go here.

Best Of Luck.

Greyhound Betting Tips For Sunday 5th May 2013

Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 5 Mrs Thursday, 6.37pm

The Dart trained runner has been screaming out for the 600m and finally here she is engaged. She has an enormous finish and will no doubt be aiming for the distance championship later in the year. This looks a small step towards that goal and she should have no trouble blowing these away. She is moody and isn’t well boxed, but she has tremendous talent and will mighty hard to beat here tonight. Will drop out and power home.

Sale Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 2 Whata Good Size, 6.49pm

We are going to try and pick the trifecta here today. Whata Good Size is the stand out here for , however I quite like the wheeler runners to fill the placings. Gus Bale, and Dyna Zabian look the main selections behind the favourite. It’s a great trifecta race and all 3 runners should clear out early on. There will be no value in backing Whata Good Size, but hopefully the trifecta will be where the profit lies.

Strathalbyn Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 4, Affordable, 7.27pm

This bloke has plenty of talent and has really excelled since coming across from NSW. He’s a former track record holder and is a great beginner. Box 4 should be of no concern and he should lead all the way here. Porcelain Steel appears the danger, and with a great jump he can really threaten in this. Affordable has only missed the placings, once here in 6 starts and has a great PB of 23.89. He looks the one here today.

Greyhound Betting Tips For Saturday 4th April 2013

Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1 Goodwin Future, 8.27pm

Boxes win races and this girl has the right box here tonight. A quick beginner and a good railer, Goodwin Future will have no excuses here tonight. She has a PB of 29.91 and has a good overall record here. She not great under pressure but the rails draw will help with that here. Typhoon Banquet, looks the main danger. He’s a slick beginner, with a good record here and a fast PB. There’s probably not a lot between the two here, and unless they take each other out, they should fight out the finish in this tonight. Goodwin Future is yet to taste success, from and inside trap, but I can’t see why the inside box will pose a problem. Hopefully she can lead and punch inside Typhoon Banquet, and skip away here. These two look clear cut and if there’s no value in backing her out right, then I suggest you take a few multiples based around the two inside runners. It’s quite open behind them so you may need to flip a coin to find 3 and 4th.

The Meadows Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 1 Jack Silver, 8.57pm

It’s been a while since this bloke has had the red box but there’s no doubting his ability to use it here tonight. He’s always well supported when engaged and of recent times he’s lived in his brothers shadow. He gets his chance here tonight to step out on his own and he looks a really big chance from a perfect draw. He can’t do anything wrong though, he needs to begin an hard into the first turn, to hold out the middle dogs. If he manages to hold his position around the first turn supporters will get a great sight for their money. He won’t start favourite but he will be well supported and I suggest an eachway bet here geared towards more for the win. Good dog, great box, can run the time, and is in form. Ticks a few boxes here tonight.

Cannington Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 8 Saving Bundles, 8.10pm WA time

I’ve had to select the best 8 race here tonight but I’m confident of getting a win here in this. Saving Bundles is racing in supreme form and only two stars back gave the super talented Boss Coin a scare when chasing him home here at Cannington. She backed up that form by heading to Mandurah, and running 27.23, just .05 outside the track record. Box 8 won’t he a problem and her mid race pace is electrifying. One Bannana and Kenny Powers will be the early speed, but this girl only needs to lob in behind them here to go straight pass them. She’s getting better and better every week, and I won’t be surprised to see her get down as low as 30.10 here. If she runs that is all over bar the shouting. Great bet, and a certainty with a clear run early.

Only the 3 selections again tonight but 3 nice chances who are all well boxed. There’s plenty of support greyhound meetings on around the country with racing from Richmond the Gardens, and Traralgon. Fixed priced will be on offer from one of our many sponsors Iasbet, Luxbet, Sportsbet and Sportingbet.

Our selections are 3 really big chances and it might pay to take a allup with the 3 runners. Most corporates offer an each way allup and that can be very useful at times.

Don’t forget the final of the is on tonight at Wentworth Park and what a cracking race that will be with the smart Victorian Purcell Bale. The NSW are also giving away a to one of the lucky on course patrons.

Best of luck

Greyhound Betting Tips For Friday 3rd May 2013

We are slowly getting back to finding a few winners consistently again. It’s been a fair run of late, and we are hoping for some good luck here tonight. Only the 3 selections but I’m confident of all 3.

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 To See You, 5.55 pm

The home bred daughter of Elite And Classy is our on top selection here. She’s only won the 3 from 29 but early on in here career she looked to be quite handy. She never really fulfilled that promise, but she’s still racing well and has a fantastic place record. She gets her chance to win here today, against an ordinary field. From box 1 she should be able to hold a forward spot as the swing around the first turn. She has a PB of 30.95 and it appears only Narrative can pose as a danger here to our selection.
Expect Narrative to lead out early, but she can be a little suspect or the trip. Too see You should get a great trail in behind here and finish to string for Narrative. Outside of those two Zafonic Zhahdi, appeared the best of the rest. Too see you to win here.

Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 2 Stylish Fringe, 7.22pm

Another runner here who looks to good and may be at good odds. If I was a bookie I’d have this girl odds on. Tizza Gold may start the Likely favourite, based on her run last week and the fact she can really gallop at home in Tassie. But Stylish Fringe has track experience, an inside box and has posted quick times around here. There’s no substitute for experience and I expect her to bound straight to the front and give them something to chase. Dual Aces in box 1 is a slow beginner and probably not up to city standard as yet. She fell last start but she’s obviously taken no harm form it. Her trainer Norm Becroft and family will have the daughter of primed here and I expect her to just win. Straight to the front and first home.

Geelong Greyhounds, Race 11 Box 1 Givin’ Lip, 10.27pm

The ex QLD Givin Lip has plenty of talent. He showed plenty of toe when here in the sunny state, and has gone well since arriving in Victoria. It’s not an east race and he does e joy a wide box much better, but he has speed and heat he able to jump and move off the track a little early on. He has a motor and can really run time given the right run. He won’t start favourite and should be about $10. He’s very versatile and can handle a variety of distances. He’s quite string with great mid race pace. If he can find clear room and trail the early leaders, he’s going to be mighty hard to hold out here in this. A roughie for the day, but he gets his chance here.

Greyhound Racing Tips For Thursday 2nd May 2013

Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 7 Beau Ryan 9.52pm

Once again we have to wait ’til the last race here to hopefully back a winner. Beau Ryan was our selection in the QLD Derby heats, where he finished well back. I selected him in the derby so of course were going to stick with him in a 5th grade. It’s certainly a race with many chances, and you could make a case for a few of them. But Beau Ryan although his form is poor, does have a certain amount of ability. I’m not to sure how he will handle box 7, but he certainly can get along. If he comes out and gains clear running, we might see how good he is. His trainer has an opinion of him, and he’s going to be a good price here tonight. Each way chance from a tricky box draw.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 Deadly Impact 9.41pm

Tough race here, with plenty of speed and strength. Deadly Impact although a very talented chaser, is as moody as they come; however of late he’s been racing really consistently, something he’s not use to doing. He usually wins or goes terrible, but he’s showing plenty of fight lately, and from the perfect draw here, he can certainly skip away to win this. No runner can make a mistake, but Deadly Impact can jump and push hard around the first turn, and hold them out. If he can do this he’s won the first battle. The second battle will be holding off the powerful Linguist, who has in the last 6 months become a formidable force at Angle Park. He can win this Deadly Impact and looks a great chance here.

Dapto Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 2 Salt Mate Blue, 9.38pm

Another dog who can also be moody – Salt Mate Blue, strung a couple together lately, but it was touch and go there for a while. She’s pretty consistent around the Dapto circuit here and has early toe. Although she has a PB of 30.22 she is yet to win here in this time. It’s not overly tough, and she should jump and roll along in front. She cannot make any mistakes and will be 5-1 here. Boxes 5,6,7,8 can all threaten here but it’s quite hard to with out which one will get down from the outside and get across. Maybe a standout trifecta might be the way to go, banker the 2, from 5,6,7,8.

Hobart Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1, Gracie, 8.41pm

Gracie looks a moral to win here tonight from box 1 against this field. There will be no value in backing her straight out but, Hellyeah Trish looks to me to be the outright second pick. Gracie loves the inside box and should spear out and lead all the way here. Hellyeah Trish, will be afforded no such luxury and will need to navigate her way through the field here. These two look the standouts and a exacta or multiple might be the best value here in this. Gracie to win Hellyeah Trish second.

Sandown Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 6 Pumped Up Zarr, 7.25pm

The recent addition to the Kel Greenough kennel Pumped up Zarr, will no doubt win one very soon here in Victoria. Box 6 isn’t the ideal draw and he may struggle to get across here early. He does have a big motor, and only needs a clear run here in this to assert some authority. His run here last week was terrific and he may position himself a little closer here tonight. Theirs no doubt he can run the time it will take to win this. It will all boil down to a clear run and a little luck in running. Huge chance.

Greyhound Tips For Wednesday 1st May 2013

Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Dayseas Jet, 5.30pm

The Gilberton team of Claude, Penelope, Jim and Norma; have Dayseas Jet engaged here. Raced and bred by Claude and Norma, Dayeseas Jet is out of there top class short courser, Classy Kate. He’s a great speed dog and has a great record here. He’s just come back from a short spell and will relish the inside box. He went well at the other day, and he looks mighty hard to beat here.

The Gardens Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 3 Boomers Party, 9.05pm

The Kenny Cheetham trained Boomers Party may be the value here in this event. Mesomorph will start the likely favourute but he’s no good thing. Boomers Party has plenty of early toe and he should cross over here early. Shirls Cruiser, may also cross the inside runner and if he does also they may bury the favourite. This will give our selection a chance to skip clear and take plenty of catching.

Just the 2 selections tonight, but hopefully the best 2. We look forward to tomorrow night where we may have a couple of nice winning chances at odds.

Greyhound Tips For Tuesday 30th April 2013

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 1 Miss Lauryn 5.34pm

Tony Brett trainer of Miss Lauryn, is having a shocking run of late, and is barely able to lead in a winner. The old champ is about the only dog Tony has that’s winning, but from box 1 here today I expect Tony to lead in Miss Lauryn a winner. She has posted a quick 30.67, and has a good record on the track. She’s out of form but from a good box she should be able to punch through and win this. Float Ya Boat will be the biggest danger, but from box 7 he’s going to have his work cut out here to get across. Miss Lauryn, great each way bet.

Lismore Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 1 Sir Yorklea, 9.42pm

We have to wait until the last race here tonight to back a winner, but I really young dog Sir Yorklea. He’s shown plenty of gusto and will come from behind. A string of bad boxes and little luck has been costly to him of late. But tonight he’s been lucky and has come up with the coveted rails box. He’s not a brilliant beginner, but he does have plenty of guts and will push trough early up against the rail. He has a PB of 24.49, not the quickest in the field, but there’s plenty of upside to this bloke and he should be winning here tonight.

Gosford Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Blue Norris, 8.57pm

This son of the flying Knocka Norris, journeys to the big smoke here tonight after a brilliant performance at Dubbo. It’s interesting looking at his form his runs have been well spaced and his weight has varied quite a lot. This scares me a little, but he does seem to be on the right track now. Box 1 will suit, and if he can repeat the Dubbo performance he should win this here tonight. I doubt wether he’s seen the track and that can be down right carnage for a young dog. So don’t take silly odds, he’s young inexperienced and maybe having his first look. But he does poses a motor and if he handles the change he’s going to be mighty hard to stop here.

Warragul Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 2 Whata Good Size, 8.27pm

The speedster and son of Fear Zafonic looks all over the winner here. I remember backing him at Lismore early on when he was a certainty beat. Since then he’s gone on to win a classic race and assert himself as a speedster. He has plenty of early toe and should lead in this here tonight. If he leads he just simply wins. He’s got a huge motor up too about 430m and can carve out very quick sectionals. He’s second up from a short spell, and should be primed here for this. Very tough to beat.

Greyhound Tips For Monday 29th April 2013

Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Cee Eh Oh 8.41pm

Cee Eh Oh a daughter of the ill fated looks to be a great chance here. She’s been racing in much tougher company of late, and from tricky box draws. Tonight we see her draw the coveted rails, which will be of huge advantage to her. She’s yet to salute here at headquarters, having so far started 6 times here for 3 seconds. But she’s been unlucky at times, and has run into a couple of smarties. There’s no smarties here tonight, and she looks the best dog in the race, from the best box. She has early toe and is capable of leading with her best jump. She’s no slouch and if she jumps and runs, she’s probably capable of running about 30.25, a quick time and that should see her win and win this very easy. Great box, fast dog, and should be winning this here tonight.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 1 Botha Bale 8.13pm

I’ve had to toss a coin here to settle on 1 selection, Botha Bale is that selection. Boxes 1,2,3 look the main winning chances and its very difficult to split the 3 of them. Botha Bale isn’t racing with a lot of heart, and did fail from box 1 here miserably a couple of starts ago. Life’s Cool, needs it all his own way, and Good Aset Gets, may become the meat in the sandwich. So we will stick with the rails runner, and hope she holds her position early and races with some vigor. There’s no doubt she can run quick time, probably quicker than her best time of 30.16, but the question remains when she will do it. She’s got some talent, and has the ideal draw, but I wouldn’t be taking silly odds, $4.00 – $6.00 should be worth the risk here. Each Way.

Bulli Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 5 Mario Chief 8.52pm

There’s plenty of winners on tonight’s card at Bulli, but most will be short priced favourite’s. The best value runner I can find will be the Victorian Mario Chief; I hope. His trainer Gary Selkrig had success when he brought his litter-mates here recently, and he’s hoping to have the same success with prolific winner Mario Chief in this. He’s a very talented experienced dog, and should have no trouble handling the big open track. He’s in good form, and is the class runner of the field.
He only needs to step away with them and gain clear running to win here.

Launceston Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 3 Martello Towers, 10.00pm

I scanned the fields tonight at Launceston and nothing really jumped out at me, but our resident contributor Peter Oliver tipped Martello Towers a couple of weeks ago, and I saw he was engaged tonight. So I decided to watch his last few starts and they haven’t been all that bad – bad boxes and no luck have contributed to his poor form. He’s won the most races from box 3 and he gets his chance to break through again her for win number 13. He will need to position himself early and that may be just in behind the speed. He’s quite strong and with his fair share of luck he can get over the top of these here. He won’t start favourite, and he looks a great each way chance here in this.

Shepparton Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 6 Who Told Blackie, 8.27pm

Tough race here with many winning chances. Catcha Grenade for master trainer will be the likely favourite, but after the dismal run he put in last week I’m prepared to lay him here. So we are going with Who Told Blackie; he too has put in 2 terrible runs when favourite but he looks better suited here with a long run in from a wide box. He’s got plenty of ability and is generally a good beginner. He should head this field of early, and he’s going to take a power of beating if he finds the front. Big chance to bounce back here again tonight. Each way.

Well here’s to hoping we can find a few tonight. It’s been very few and far between lately. But the drought must end and let’s hope it ends tonight.

Greyhound Tips For Sunday 28th April 2013

We got the winner of the Betfair Stayers Cup up last night at , and wasn’t it an almighty run by Bell Haven. Knocked down several times and basically forgotten, she produced a sensational effort to nab right on the line to collect the winners cheque of $25,000 for trainer Ted Medhurst.

Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 3 Innisplain Jet 7.16pm

This bloke has started to show signs of his old brilliant self when he first started racing he was a really exciting prospect, who was a low flying lear jet when on song. He has a flying PB of 29.82 and anything near that tonight will result in him slaughtering these. He’s a mad railer and loves to find it early with two slow beginners drawn inside, he should have no trouble crossing over and racing right away here with this. Stop Scrammin and And It’s Gone will be the dangers, but Innisplain Jet should be to good here. Great bet

Sale Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 4 Amity Flame 6.40pm

We’re going to give this bloke another chance here. There’s no doubt he has a huge motor, but he’s really moody. He needs luck in his races, and can’t get caught up in traffic; but with a clear run he can easily win this race. There’s plenty of speed in the race and this should suit him. He will get the chance to drop out behind them and hopefully rattle up along the inside. He’s going to be the value runner and I suggest an each way bet here.

Nowra Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 1 Cheeky Marble 6.48pm

Staying race here, and the littermate to the flying Cathy’s Marble is our selection. She too like her sister has a big motor, but can be very moody. She out of form and hopefully a good price here in this. She needs to find the bunny early, but from box 1 here she will get every chance. There isn’t a dog in this race that can run the time she can if she decides to go. With a little early luck and her best effort theirs no doubt she will flog these. Great bet.

Greyhound Tips For Saturday 27th April 2013

Girl power to reign supreme tonight with headlining tonight’s racing with the final of the Betfair Stayers Cup over 720m, and the heats of the . Its a night dominated by the female sex, with the majority of major race runners female. Girl power they say!

I’ve been singing the tune of little Bell Haven in the Stayers Cup all week, and she’s my best bet for the night.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 2 Bell Haven 8.27pm

Fantastic staying event with 4 main Chances. I’m going to steer the way some other people have chosen, and go with the mighty Bell Haven. She hasn’t been going as well as she can go, but I still don’t think she’s racing below her best. She’s just had a few things go against her and been a little unlucky. From box 2 here tonight she’s going to get a fantastic run in behind the early leader . Last week she was knocked about, and lost plenty of ground at the start of the race but she still finished on, to run a close 4th. I doubt whether she’s going to have to endure the same fate this week, and she looks a great winning chance here in this. She should follow early leader , and be within striking distance in the final 150. Fancy Liza will be the danger, but she’s going to have to work a lot harder, and will have to come from behind to win. I doubt whether she can run over the top of Bel Haven late in the piece. It’s a race that can go one or two ways – if leads and leads comfortably, then it will take Bell Haven a while to collar her and this will make it hard for Fancy Liza; if Bell haven collars early, I think Fancy’s Liza’s chance is increased. I expect to be right in this to the final 60m and if this occurs, Bell Haven looks the goods. Great Bet!

The Meadows Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 3 Xenos Bale, 8.40pm

Great win last start by the youngster and he looks to be getting back to his best. This is not a hard race, and from box 3 he looks a good thing here for mine. The Sydneysider Gotta be Fancy should be the early leader, and Xenos Bale will get the camp in behind her early. He can jump and does go well here with a PB of 30.09. He looks a great bet, if he can position himself around 2nd or third, and by doing so he should be able to run down the early leaders. Each way bet.

Cannington Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 3 On Coin

This bloke is everyone’s tip here in the Sandi’s Me Mum Memorial. He has the 3rd quickest PB ever only behind the great , and his run he last week was outstanding. I expected the young gun to win and win easily, but the old boy Vocal Enforcer was having none of that and decided to make the young gun with hard to win. After beginning reasonable he looked to get off the track initially, but was held in rounding the first turn. Bunched up he looked as if he was going to get sandwiched right up and get spat out the back; but to the young guns credit he pushed hard and rallied to race right away in the end to score. It was a terrific effort for such a young dog, he really showed his class. The final here looks no harder and with a great jump he may give the mighty record a shake.

Greyhound Tips For Friday 26th April 2013

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 3 Gee Ef Cee, 6.35pm

This bloke did the job for us here two weeks ago at good odds. Against this opposition he looks to be a big chance here again today. He has a PB of 25.11 here, and he looks very hard to beat if he jumps. It’s a field out of form, and the Tzouvelis kennel is in winning form again. Fast dog with a big motor when given clear room. Each Way chance.

Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 7, Ventura 2.49pm

Ventura looks extremely hard to beat here in this. I was talking with her trainer Robin Palmer, and he was quite confident in the chances of his bitch last week. Watching the replay over a few times, she really was a good thing beat in my opinion. She was laid all over for the entire journey, and never got free galloping room. This is a much easier race this week, and the 7 box will suit this girl here. From box 7 she can lead here and turn the tables on Bogan Girl who beat here here last week. Great chance to salute here today.

Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 2 Norris Major 7.22pm

I may regret backing this bloke, as he can be very moody and costly; but he does stand out here in a race of average talent. He finds it tough to win, but he does have a PB of 30.01 here, and had has 3 starts for 2 seconds. He needs to find clear galloping room early, but from box 2, he should be able to possie up early and look to finish to strong for his rivals here tonight. He’s moody so each way is the best bet.

Geelong Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 2 Crash Kart Kev, 8.10pm

The veterans race here and I’m going with Crash Kart Kev. He’s got plenty of early toe, but hasn’t been able to lead of late and he needs to lead to win. He can lead his field here, but he will have to be at his best to hold off the talented Burnt Fuse. Burn Fuse is likely to start favourite, but the value will come from our selection, Crash Kart Kev. He’s honest and has won a stack of races, and his form is a little better then it appears. Great chance here.

Greyhound Tips For Anzac Day Thursday 25th April 2013

We really are on struggle street at the moment, we just can’t seem to find that winner. A run of placings is about the best we can come up with. The cards just aren’t falling our way at present and it’s tough to watch our selections get beat. I mean, no one wants to follow a loser, and that’s what we have been doing for the last week.

We have always managed a winner or two, even some at odds over $12.00 but lately it’s been few and far between. But we’re going to try extremely hard to bring the winners your way tonight. We have studied the replays and then studied them again and again. Lets hope the punting gods shine down on us here tonight. We need it!!!

Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 1 Restless Teddy, 7.42pm

Restless Teddy is a selection of ours from previous weeks. Last time we selected him as a place chance only, and he did the job, running second to Jetta’s Girl in a quick 30.03. He was beaten only 4.50 lengths, and paid a whopping $9.00 the place. Tonight’s race finally looks the right race for him to break through. From box 1 he only needs to hold then out rounding this first turn, to be night hard to beat. There’s no real threat in the race and his main danger early is Ellie’s Flash, but she is out of form, and not jumping well. Clan Eirann is boxed well out wide from the pink box, but he too is a little out of form at present. The Teddy only needs to jump and make it around the first turn, and I say get in the cue. He’s capable of running a quick time, maybe about 30.20. He has won at Sandown, running good time their, although his Albion Park record isn’t great, he looks a good thing from a good box, and is capable of going around the 30.20 mark. The stars have aligned for this fellow, and he should be winning here tonight!

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 6 Laurie Lachlan, 9.22pm

I’m going to have to select my old mate here, Laurie Lachlan. The fawn dog raced well while here in QLD, but struggled when he was brought and raced in Victoria. He’s now with Ossie Chegia, in S.A and there’s no doubt they have worked the little bloke out. He’s got plenty of pace, but does turn it up quite easily if not finding the front. In his last 3 starts he’s won 1 and run 2 seconds. Leading from boxrise at all 3 times. In his last two he’s been run down right on the line. Theres no more strength in this race then his previous two, but there is plenty more early pace. So he won’t be able to make a mistake here tonight. He’s not a fan of pressure, and he may have to face it here tonight. So don’t take silly odds, about $4.00 should be about the right price.

Dapto Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 3 Fast Archer, 9.38pm

Clay Mullens returns home here with Fast Archer, after his second placing in the Group 2 QLD Derby heat. He ran a great race, and only narrowly went down to the home town speedster Top Story. Back on home turf and boxed outside 2 really slow beginners he looks to be a moral to win here tonight. I don’t like selecting dogs after they have returned from a campaign interstate, but his from and ability is far too good to ignore. He has a PB of 29.82 and relishes racing around here. From box rise he should easily, cross the 2 inside dogs, and race right away to salute. He’s going to be the favourite, but $2.20 should he around what he will start at. Great bet and should be wining.

Hobart Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 8 Matt’s Entity, 7.58pm

I’m going against everything I believe in here, and selecting a runner over the scamper of 340 meters. I’m not a fan of these races and have a selected a runner in them. But Matt’s Entity, a son of northern rivers stud dog, looks a good thing here to me. He’s a big 34kg dog, but he can really motor early, and wins most of his races leading throughout. He’s perfectly suited to box 8, and will once again ping out. He has a outstanding record of 10 starts for 7 wins and 2 placings. His only unplaced run came about on Tuesday, where he tackled a star studded line up at Devenport. Which was eventually won by super bitch, She’s All Class. Over tonight’s short journey of only 340m, he can make no mistakes, and must give a faultless display. The reason we are selecting him is, he may be good value, and over the odds. There bad races and very tricky affairs usually, but we bloke to win here tonight.

Sandown Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 2 Velocemente, 7.07

It’s quite a tough night here at Sandown tonight and it appears a meeting with many chances. I’ve watched the replays and I quite like the young Andrea Daily trained Velocemente. His form is quite good, and he has posted a slick 30.05 at the Meadows. He races best when he can get out in front a dictate terms and he gets that chance here tonight from a good box draw. It’s quite a good quality field, here with most of the field in recent winning form. But this young dog looks like he’s going to develop into a nice handy chaser, and tonight looks a great chance for him to start kicking off. Don’t take silly odds, he deserved to be short, but around about $3.00 should be about the right price.

Well there you have it, our take on tonight’s selections, and lets hope the punting gods do shine down upon us.

Don’t forget the Group 2 QLD Derby is run tonight, and my selection for that is the talented Hello Good Bye. Fixed Odds is available through one of our many sponsors Sportingbet, Luxbet, Iasbet and Sportsbet.

Best of Luck.

Greyhound Tips For Wednesday 24th April 2013

Greyhounds Race 5 Box 5 Miss Karoo 4.59pm

This race looks the perfect race for Miss Karoo. The recent Group 2 QLD Futurity Finalists, should have trouble disposing of this field. Even though she run second last, she was only beaten 6 lengths. It was a great effort to reach the final. She definitely needs to find the rail to show her best and box 5 will make it tough, but she has plenty of speed and strength, and looks far to good here with a clear run.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 7 Contrarian 3.38pm

A race with a mix of speed and experience, contrarian is our on top selection. Likely favourite and flying machine Cosmic Way is the main danger to our selection. He has a flying PB of 29.62, but has failed to fire a shot since winning in that time. Contrarian on the other hand is very experienced, and does have a solid PB of 30.04. He’s not suited all that well by box 7, but he does have the ability to win this from behind. With luck he should be winning this. However if Cosmic Way does come out and find the bunny, he may be hard to stop. Each Way Contrarian.

The Gardens Race 1 Box 1 Our Money Box,7.08pm

The all conquering Tifi, has one of her progeny engaged here in this. Our Money Box has a terrific record with 8 wins and 12 minors from 35 starts, with a fantastic box 1 record having so far had 5 starts with 3 wins and 2 seconds. Its not overly hard and she has broken the 35.00 second barrier. From box 1 she will no doubt fire out, and hopefully lead all the way. The main dangers are not boxed well and will have to rely on plenty of luck. Our Money box to win here.

Ballarat Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 3 Free Will,8.18pm

The Sydney sider and big money spinner Free Will has earned over $100,000 in prize money and theres no doubting his class. Last time campaigned him and Seldom Said in Victoria, He came back to Sydney and won the Gosford Cup. Anthony may be embarking on a new mission and has come a long way to race here tonight at Ballarat. He has high speed from box rise and may be a little over the odds here with his poor form of recent times. I think few people will select him, to win and he looks a great eachway bet.

Cannington Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 Chosen Jewel, 8.57pm WA time

The Trained chosen Jewel is our on top selection here. Two starts ago she put in a great performance to get up and just win. It was the sign if a dog bursting to win and in tip top shape. Something we come to expect from W.A’s leading trainer, when racing her dogs. Box 1 will suit the daughter of and there isnt a great deal of in form speedy dogs in this race. She may or may not start short, its a little tricky. But one thing is for sure backers will get a great sight, for there money.

Greyhound Tips For Tuesday 23rd April 2013

Finally we got one up last night at $8.70 Shanlyn Mini got the job done at Launceston, and wore down the early leader to win. Our selection Auriga Legend was unfortunately a scratching and gained a run in the final where he finished unplaced.

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 1 Kelly Charm, 6.18pm

630m event here and not only do i think she will win, I think she will blow them away. Her last start which was her first go over the longer trip, she went super and was only beaten 2 lengths, in a quick 35.24 at Albion Park. Today she is perfectly boxed and has plenty of early toe to jump straight to the front and lead all the way. Great bet.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 2 Deyna 12.49pm

This is certainly a clash of the titans, with 4 really talented speedy individuals lining up. I’m going with Deyna, the recent flying 29.78 winner over 515 at Angle Park; but he certainly has issues – if he doesn’t find the front and does cop a few checks; he generally gives it all away. But he does have early speed and he may be able to ping a lead here today. He’s not going to come from behind, and if he does find the front I expect him to run around the 35.30 mark at his first go. If he jumps he should win.

Devonport Greyhounds, Race 11 box 5 In The Book, 3.32pm

It seems this bloke is the only dog I select in Tassie but he has plenty of talent and he looks a good thing again here today. Forget his last start effort, where he was unsuited and never really got into the race. He has the quickset PB of these runners and he is sure to improve on his PB here. He should be far too good here today, for a ordinary line up, Today’s Best Bet.

Lismore Greyhounds, Race 5 box 5 Red Beret, 8.05pm

This bloke went super here last week, and was blocked for a run at a vital stage. He’s no better drawn tonight, and Junior Phantom who beat him last week, has come up with the same box again, the coveted rails. I think Red Beret, may be able to turn the tables here tonight. He just needs the right run, and hopefully he doesn’t get blocked for a run again this week. He’s going to be about $5.00 and I think that’s great value about a dog who should win with a clear run.

Warragul Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 3 Jannik, 8.09pm

This seems a two dog war between the talented pair Jannik and Charlie Nic. There’s noting between them and I think who ever leads wins. Jannik my selection does have plenty of experience, and dies begin very well. He may be able to just slightly outpace Charlie Nic early and that’s all it will take for him to win. Which ever one of the two dogs leads, will win. Jannik is our selection.

Greyhound Betting Tips For Monday 22nd April 2013

I always look forward to Monday nights. Monday and Thursday night Greyhound Racing deliver the most 500m events, and there’s no doubt these are the best betting races. It’s a great shame that Bulli, will soon loose there Monday night slot, and we will revert to Monday night racing at , where I’m sure we are going to see lots more “squib” races over the shorter 300m trip. They’re not a good spectacle and are terrible betting races. Winning at was once held in high regard, I’m afraid now it will loose its prestige. Hopefully we can find a few winners before the change takes place.

Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 1 Auriga Legend 8.04pm

The first leg of the Quaddie here tonight and our selection is the talented but very moody Auriga Legend for trainer Geoff Draheim. The son of the ill-fated has plenty of talent and has the ability to really open up this type of field. There doesn’t appear to be any standout out danger, and as long as this bloke turns up to race, he should have no trouble winning here. He can switch off at times and he did so one day at Ipswich and effectively threw the race away. He has early toe and should be far too good here if he turns up. He’s going to be short, but I wouldn’t be coming into him unless you can get 2-1.

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 2 Josephine Whiz, 9.17pm

The usual staying race on a Monday night at Angle Park; they are my favourite races and I often do very well. Uno Lesson is probably going to be all the rage after her last to first victory in last weeks race, but it didn’t impress me all that much. It was quite a funny race with none of the field really firing. Our selection Josephine Whiz has been disappointing of late and I’m hoping she can turn it all around. It’s been a long time between drinks and her record isn’t that great over the distance, but if she’s going to return to the winners circle, tonight looks her best chance. She may be able to land right in front here tonight, or a worst land straight on the rail. She doesn’t start to go until she reaches the rail. This is her race tonight and from a good box she should go awfully close. If she does happen to fail tonight we might just forget about her until she wins again. Don’t take sill odds 5-1 or better.

Bulli Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Street Boss, 9.10pm

This race isn’t as tough as it appears in my opinion. The old boy of the field here, Street Boss; has an imposing record from box 1. From 11 attempts he has won 7 and run 3 placings, only missing the place once. He’s also 2 from 2 over the distance here. Last weeks run was super, and although the distance was far to short, the old boy raced remarkable well. He showed his experience weaving his way thorough, and chasing 110 percent from a long way off the bunny. He got home really well against a couple of really quick young dogs. He steps up to the longer journey here, and from the perfect box he looks mighty hard to beat. He should be able to position himself in the leading division, and I give him a great chance, of running right over the top of these in this. Keep your eye on Shanghai Rose I think she’s going to improve dramatically here tonight.

Launceston Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 6, Shanlyn Mini, 9.00pm

Terrible race here and I should be finding another selection, but I have been tipping Shanlyn Mini for a while now and this looks exactly the right race for her. It’s a very ordinary field with some runners still maidens. She goes well from a wide box and has a far quicker PB then most of these are capable of. Her PB of 30.25, and her record of 2 placings from 4 starts should be enough to see her salute here in this. Bad race but she looks the outright winner.

Shepparton Greyhounds, Race 7 box 5 Giselle Bale 9.07pm

Giselle Bale is our selection here and she does enjoy racing from middle boxes. She is racing well and 2 starts ago went terrific, I don’t like the like favourite from box 2, and I’m not a fan of Dale Bale on a one turn track. Giselle Bale to win this.

Best of Luck.

Greyhound Tips For Sunday 21st April 2013

Unfortunately we come unstuck with our big multi last night, with Lightning Impact running second; but I was pretty confident about the rest, so I bet again after Lightning Impact got beat and although there were some very tight finishes we managed to get the rest up. A $50 investment would have returned our punters great odds of 11-1; or $50 into $600! A fantastic return when you consider all were short priced favourites. Sometimes taking an all up is certainly the way to go, but the key is to have 5 or more legs and take well boxed short priced favourites; and I always bet again if going down in the first or second leg – food for thought next time there a few short priced near certainties.

Onto today’s selections and we have been having a little dry spell of late and no punter is immune to these; we’ve all had them. It leaves you pulling your hair out – I know it does this to me. Whether you follow our Tips or just use them as a guide when making your own selections, it’s always very important to bet correctly.

It takes a certain level of skill and know how, to find a few winners but most of us who are involved in racing greyhounds, are certainly able to find the odd winner or two. The key however, is to bet correctly and always have a staking plan to maximize your return. Stay tuned for our article on “How to make money backing greyhounds”.

Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 6 Honey Boquet 7.13pm

This girl won’t start favorite but I really like her chances of winning. It’s a tough race with 4 winning chances but expect El Bella Beach to fire out and lead them up early. Poetic Mover is very unreliable, Zipping Hurf will get too far back; and I reckon Tayla Marie might just burn up on the outside and land second early here. If she does land in second position I’m quietly confident she can run El Bella Beach down. She’s going to be healthy odds and she does have a blistering PB of 29.94. From 11 starts on the track she’s won 5 and placed 4. A great record for the daughter of and Honey Mist. Forget last starts performance, she was never out of trouble and did continually bump with other runners. A great winning chance if she leaves the boxes quickly.

Sale Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 5 Orthia Bale, 7.40pm

The bred daughter of has really started to figure out what winning is all about. There was a period there where she found it tough to win, but that period is over and she certainly knows how to find the line in front now. From box 5 she looks as if she will lob into second or third rounding the first turn. She has a blistering PB here and looks set to score here again. The only way I see her getting beat is if Lightning Leah pings and does hold our selection off early. If she does hold her out Orthia Bale does have a little tendency to give up a little when challenged, but that was early on in her career, and I think she’s past that hurdle now. Speedy strong type with a flying PB. Should win.

Strathalbyn, Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 3 Antoni Bale, 7.03pm

Antoni Bale is certainly a long way off the talented dog he once was. He’s getting on a little now and will probably never get back to what he once was but he does meet a very ordinary line up here, and at his best he would thrash these. He’s a long way off his best, but he can still win, such is his ability. The 3 box will suit and he just needs to lob into a forward position early. He needs room and clear running but he should get both here today. I’m not sure of his starting price but I wouldn’t be backing him unless you can get 4-1 about him.

Best of luck.
