Lengthy Disqualifications For Dubbo Protagonists

The son of Hunter Valler racing and media personality Gary Harley, and one-time Dubbo Turf Club Secretary Manager, Troy Harley, has been handed a six month disqualification for being involved in an “incident” at the Dubbo Greyhound meeting on Saturday 25th April 2009.

Thie incident has occurred during the famous Dubbo ANZAC Weekend Carnival which involves the club racing over the whole weekend with races set down for the Friday, Saturday and Monday.

Quite bizzarely the two other combatants involved in the “incident” were both Dubbo Greyhound Club Officials; Neville Owers, a Club Official; and Phillip Bush the Identification Steward.

Ford & Braddon Kennels Train Dubbo Doubles

The Kylie and Wes McDonald kennel from Springside near Orange celebrated the win by $2.50 favourite Daddy’s Echo in the Greyhound Racing NSW Blue Paws Maiden Final over 313 metres at Dawson Park on Saturday night.

This was the Dubbo club’s first night meeting for the summer with 10-races conducted under cool conditions.

Bookies Day At Dubbo

Bookmakers finished well on top of punters at Dawson Park in Dubbo on Sunday, a 10-race meeting which featured two heats of the Bookmakers Winter Sprint over 400 metres. Parkes sprinter Miss Skaife ($6.00) caused a major upset when she led all the way from the eight box in a very strong 4th and 5th grade Pacific Flow Technology Stakes (516m) to score in 30.68s.
