Road To Nationals Starts Tonight
The Rapidvite National Series kicks off tonight, with state heats at Sandown, Angle Park and Albion Park. Sandown is host to four very even Victorian sprint heats. The first is a ‘Battle of the Bitches’, with four of the best females in the land clashing. Sonador (box one), Keeko Bale (box three), Finlandia (box four) and Que Sera Sera (box six) are all capable of winning the final and they all have great records at the track and over the distance.

Winoki’s Easter To Rain Golden Eggs
After last weeks Golden Easter Egg Semi Finals, you could be forgiven being a little gun shy wagering on this Saturday night’s $150,000 to the winner Golden Easter Egg Final.
If you thought the sensations were going to stop with the bizarre late scratching of Wilodious Blues, then you were sadly mistaken.

El Galo Stuns The Bendigo Cup Heats
El Galo (Where’s Pedro ~ Roxy Reason), the Queensland bred flying machine that was a recent high profile purchase for Jason Thompson and partner Seona Hood, went within a 1/2 length of erasing Slater from the record books last night in the $25,000 to the final winner Group 2 Bendigo Cup Heats.
Flying out from the favourable box 1 draw, the 31kg brindle dog went to the first section in an equal best of night 6.32 and then ran strongly through to the second mark in a best of night 12.36, which was 2 3/4 lengths quicker than anything else on the night to that point. Bendigo Cup Heats Fail To Attract The Best
The fields for the 2008 Bendigo Cup Heats were released a little earlier to day and and in contrast to years gone by, only 55 runners spread over 7 heats will face the starter.
While many of the best greyhounds have been competing in the $150,000 to the winner 2008 Golden Easter Egg, some high profile greyhounds elected to stay in Victoria or were knocked out of the Golden Easter Egg series early, raising hopes they may have nominated for the 2008 Bendigo Cup Heats.

Nightmare Mistake Puts End To Dream Run
A mistake that I’m sure will be giving trainer Richard Riley nightmares for years to come, brought an end to the fairy tale run of Wilodious Blues (Wilfred x Melodious Blues) before the boxes even opened in Saturday night’s 2008 Golden Easter Egg Semi Finals.
Wilodious Blues was a late withdrawal by order of the stewards under rule 31(b) when the handler, Christine Kay, notified stewards upon arrival at the track that she had brought the wrong dog. Continue reading Nightmare Mistake Puts End To Dream Run
2008 Golden Easter Egg Semi Finals Open With A Cracker
This Saturday night’s 2008 Golden Easter Egg Semi Finals have been thrown in to turmoil with 4 of the strongest chances all drawn against each other in Semi Final 1. With only two to advance to the $150,000 Group 1 final there will two very unlucky stories to tell no matter which way the chips fall.
The first Semi Final should be a very interesting race and a keen betting venture with 3 of the top 6 favourites in the Sportsbet pre post market plus our highlighted dog, Teaman Titch (Bombastic Shiraz x Call Me Donna) all drawn against each other and all drawn in the inside 5 boxes.

Que Sera Sera Dissapoints In Easter Egg Heats
Punters who stuck their necks outs and backed Que Sera Sera in the Golden Easter Egg Heats would’ve needed more than a healthy dose of Doris Day’s famous song to get them over their woes last Saturday night.
The Big Daddy Cool x Dash Of Burgundy bitch who won the Group 2 Adelaide Oaks back in September 2007 and the Group 1 Saphirre Crown at Sandown in November 2007, was found wanting as soon as lids opened in Heat 6 of the 2008 Golden Easter Egg. Just How Good Is Teaman Titch?
Saturday night’s 2008 Golden Easter Egg heats began with a bang for Victorian bred, owned and trained, Teaman Titch (Bombastic Shiraz x Call Me Donna). The 34kg black dog convincingly won heat 1 of “The Egg” in 30.36 after a dismal start saw him back last past the post the first time.
What transpired from there had all the punters fixing their gaze on Reg Kay’s hope and current Albion Park track record holder, Made To Size (Surf Lorian x Queen Size); who had chased hard to get to 3rd place down the back straight and then ran right in to the two leaders and subsequently dropped out.

MultiQuip Magic Maiden Series Brings The Cream To The Top Again
The 2008 MultiQuip Magic Maiden Series has drawn out some of the best bred greyhounds in Australia to race during the daylight hours at Wenworth Park on Monday 10th March 2008. Oddly enough thought, while the Group 1 Golden Easter Egg has been dominated by interstate raiders and professional trainers, this series has not attracted one single interstate bounty hunter after the $20,000 final prizemoney. This may be due in part to the poor $255 win only prize money on offer for the heats.
Having said that, the 16 heats are chock full of New South Wales best blood and we thought we’d take aquick look through the 2008 MultiQuip Magic Maiden Series Fields and highlight some of the genetically potential talent on offer.

Que Sera Sera No Good Thing After Unflattering Run
In our 2008 Golden Easter Egg Preview we stood Que Sera Sera out as a good thing in Heat 6 of the Group 1 2008 Golden Easter Egg.
Currently $21.00 on the Sportsbet Pre Post Golden Easter Egg Market, she seemingly went enourmous at Warrnambool last night over the 450 metre trip, running a best of night 25.07.
However, as we alluded to in the 2008 Golden Easter Egg Preview, Que Sera Sera had trialled a stunning 25.06 at the Warrnambool Saturday morning trial session. That morning she trialled solo, running 6.43 to the first section, 12.21 to the second mark and 12.85 in the run to the line.
