Bells Fair Cruises To Moree Country Challenge Final

The Mark Vella-trained hound Bells Fair won Heat 1 of the Country Challenge in race two at Moree on Saturday.

Bells Fair led over the 421-metre distance to win with a one-and-a-quarter margin at 23.98 seconds.

He beat the overall series contender Future Fund who came third and was tipped as the greyhound to beat.

Bell’s Fair Back To Best At Bathurst

The Mark Vella trained Bells Fair bounced back to his brilliant best with a slick all the way 17.79 win in the Margaret Brown Memorial Prelude at Kennerson Park on Saturday November 22 .

It was Bells Fair’s fourteenth win on the Bathurst track in 2008 and he has now won 7 from 9 over the 307 metre trip.

Bathurst’s Huge Soldiers Saddle Carnvial Draws Near

Bathurst’s rich Soldier’s Saddle carnival is just around the corner, from November 15 thru December 3.

The main feature of the carnival is of course the Bathurst RSL Soldiers Saddle which is restricted to greyhounds with 1 to 5 wins but no city wins (excluding maiden) over 520 metres.
