Noble Pedro Salutes In Classic Peter Mosman Heat Victory

Mary Wright’s star performer Noble Pedro overcame the tricky box four to salute in heat one of the Group One in a scorching 29.56 by nine and three quarter lengths on a wet track. With impeccable sections of 5.40, 15.70 and 15.89, no doubt puts the son of Where’s Pedro and on track to claim his first Group One with the possibility of more to come.

Equally as impressive was Victorian star Kilty Lad who used his favourable box one draw to perfection in an all class display clocking 29.81 with sections of 5.40, 13.84 and a 15.97 run home. In tomorrow nights Semi Final number four, Kilty Lad has come up with box eight, equally as ideal for the speedy beginner.

Contesting semi final one and despite another poor six box draw, fast beginner Adam Meway who was checked in his attempt to cross the field from box seven in his heat last week, with some luck, does have the speed to lead the field at the winning post. Zipping Jewel, who made up many lengths in her heat victory last week, has drawn box four and with any room to move in the latter stages will be flashing home.

Fancy Dean, has a solid record from box eight and does have a flying personal best of 29.74 at Wentworth Park and a favourable box draw for Sanfe, who was gallant in defeat, second behind Noble Pedro’s effort last week.

Tips: 8-6-3-4

Semi final two consists of fastest heat qualifier Noble Pedro who has drawn to perfection in box two and with early pace should move through to his first Group One final. Drawing the coveted box one, Matilda’s Charm led from start to finish in a solid heat victory last week in a respectable 30.22 and Ruby’s Lair who has come up with box three has been in top form recently and made up excellent ground last week to just be pipped in the last stride by the fast finishing Zipping Jewel.

Tips: 2-3-1-5

In semi final three, Chenzhou Boy has surged back into his best form with consecutive victories at Wentworth Park including an all the way victory in his heat last week from box six. This week he has come up with box one for just the third time in his career and with a fast first section last week of 5.35, he should prove hard to catch. makes up the majority of the field with four runners and the first reserve and his best charge looks to be Darya Bale from box seven who ran down He’s Invincible in the final stages last week in 30.15.

Fantasy Gift for leading Wentworth Park trainer Anthony Lord has come up with box six but his impressive record from outside boxes proves he can handle the wide draw. Zipping from box eight does have an impressive personal best of 29.97 but has never had a wide draw, watch with interest.

Tips: 1-7-2-3

The final semi final of the night contains Victorian star Kilty Lad who has drawn box eight and has flying early pace that should put him ahead of the field at the winning post. After a 29.81 victory last week, he is one of the major contenders to take out the series final.

Richmond track record holder Loathsome is the only other runner in this semi final who won his heat and from box two he demonstrated a classy start to finish victory in a respectable 30.17. This week he has come up with a similar draw, box three and can repeat his efforts of last week. Zipping Man, has drawn awkwardly again in box six but can challenge the leaders with a clear run and flew home last week to run third behind Fantasy Gift.

Tips: 8-3-6-4

The winner and second placegetter of each semi final will move through to next weeks Group One final with the two fastest third placegetters making up the reserves.

Semi final one and the first leg of the quaddie kicks off at 8.50pm on Sky Racing One and Fixed Odds for all semi finals are available at Centrebet.com
