2009 Canberra Trainer Of The Year Begins 2010 In Style

As Canberra saw off it’s old track, it was 2009 Canberra Trainer of the Year, Denice Warren, who reigned supreme taking home four winners from five starters on Sunday evening.

The Mummel trainer didn’t walk into the winners circle until the halfway point of the 12 race card but from there it was a showers of victories with Berella Shilo (25.33), Licence To Dance (34.78), Berella Laura (18.13) and Berella Ciata (25.64) all posting three plus length wins.

Berella Shilo probably the pick of the bunch working hard to pick up early leader Plow Master in the Bat’s Fruit Cherry Cup Final over the 440 metre trip, before kicking away to a five length win to return $3.30

Not what you’d expect at all from a Group 1 winning greyhound.
