Bendigo Great Chase Series Windfall For Disability Service

Peter Harcourt Disability Services – a local non-profit community organisation – received a $1000 windfall yesterday when two of its assigned greyhounds won heats of the Great Chase at Bendigo.

Mike Smith, a PHDS coordinator for the past nine years, said he had already put forward a suggestion to his CEO that the monies be utilised to purchase outdoor furniture for a garden area.

Bunyip Gawler Gold Cup Heats Draw Hot Fields

The focus of racing shifts to Gawler next week for the running of the Bunyip Gawler Gold Cup.

At close of nominations, GRSA had received fifty nominations and will be running six heats. The heats will be run next Tuesday (11th), with the $25,000 Group 3 Final on Sunday the 16th November.

SA GBOTA & Gawler Clubs Signal Amalgamation

In a joint state today issued by the Chairs of the SA GBOTA (who run the straight track coursing at Virginia) and the Gawler Greyhound Racing Club; both clubs have expressed a desire to combine and approach Greyhound Racing South Australia (GRSA) to sign off on the deal.

Part of the deal will see the new entity approach GRSA to establish a new greyhound racing venue in South Australia comprising a straight track, a one turn track and an “eight bend” track.
