NSW Race Fields Legislation Approved
NSW racing industry has been given a significant boost under new legislation to come into effect from 1 July 2008, Racing Minister Graham West announced today.
Mr West said the controlling bodes of the three codes of racing will grant approvals and set fees for the use of NSW race fields by wagering operators.

WA Return Record Turnover But Fall Short
The gravy train might be slowing down on WA’s booming racing industry as the controlling authority Racing and Wagering WA announced a lower than budget increase in distribution for the racing industry next season.
The 2008-09 distribution to the three racing codes will be $112.6 million, compared to $103.7m for this season.

GRV Encourages Gaming Reform
The Premier, John Brumby yesterday announced a new structure for Gaming in Victoria beyond 2012.
Also resulting from these reform initiatives is a single, stand-alone license which will be offered for Wagering post 2012. The current Wagering license is run by Tabcorp.
