Greyhound Betting Tips For Thursday 13th June 2013
It's been a good last couple of days, nothing huge but a fair few winners. It's a big night of racing tonight with the Group 1 Albion Park Gold Cup the headline act. The locals will be out to upset the multiple group 1 winners from Victoria. Starliner appears our best local hope, after posting the quickest heat last week. Mrs Thursday will be another who will take beating. Of the interstaters, Bell Haven, Irma Bale, and Destini Fireball will all be improved by last weeks run. It's sure to be a cracking race, and $75,000 awaits the winner, at 9.08pm
Albion Park Greyhounds Race 4 Box 5 Ellie's Flash, 7.41pm
The John Edwards trained iron dog Ellie's Flash, looks the winner here tonight in this. She must be a pretty tough little dog, as she quite often backs up pretty quickly and races real well. In her last start she began very quick in a fast 10.07, and rarely do they break 10.00 seconds for the first section. If she begins here tonight in the same fashion, she should find herself leading these quite easily. Once she finds the lead here in this, I can't see any of them running her down. Her PB of 35.41 is only fair, but the track has been very slow of late, and I'm sure she can go much quicker on a good track. She should be about $2.30 here tonight and at the price is a solid win bet. If a multiple is your thing then I like numbers 2,3,4,8 behind her.
Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 2 Miss Woods, 10.05pm
There's only two chances here in this, Miss Woods and Cousin Callum. I can't seem to work Cousin Callum out, one minute he flys around over the 700 running great time; the next minute he's run down over 600! There's no doubting his ability and consistency, but I prefer not to back him. He will start favorite, and if Sheza Ten can put it to him early, then our selection Miss Woods will get a great camp in behind them. As she gets on a little Miss Woods is becoming a bit one paced, so she will need to stay in touch with them here early, if she is to beat them. Miss Woods can win if the 8 dog can pressure Cousin Callum. Miss Woods and Cousin Callum to beat Sheza Ten.
Dapto Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 6 Lika Boss, 9.14pm
This fellow looks like he will just win, with his early pace he should just bound straight to the front. He has a fast 34.75 PB here and I doubt wether any of these can run that. He's not strong so he well need to lead but when he finds the bunny, he does extend quite nicely and chase hard. He was run down last start over the 500, but he has proven the 600 is of no concern. Tian Hao Diva, a daughter of the great Cindeen Shelby, will pose the biggest threat from box 8; but I'm not so sure the 600 will suit. The money may come for the debutant over the distance, but I'd say stick with the proven Lika Boss.
Hobart Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 4 Hollyheath, 8.22pm
Tricky little race with a few unexposed chances. Hollyheath may be able to get forward in this and will prove very hard to catch if she can find the front. She's had 4 runs since coming back from a spell, and will be peaking for tonight's race. She's run some brilliant times over different distances and if she produces her best, she's going to be hard to beat tonight. The ex Queenslander, Exposed Mail, has a big motor but is extremely moody and her best will probably come over the longer journey. But if she does happen to bounce in front tonight, she will take plenty of catching. Hollyheath to return to the winners circle.
Sandown Greyhounds, Race 12 Box 5 Proven Will, 10.25pm
We have to wait until the last race here at Sandown, to find a winner. But Proven Will will prove his quality and just win. Last weeks place effort was good, when he bounced out and stuck on well to place second. He will take great benefit from last start and should jump lead and win tonight. Good For You owned here in QLD will have support. He's a quick dog and is racing in great form but I doubt he will run out the 500 really strong. Proven Will can match it with him early, and should prove the stronger runner of the two. Great bet here in the last tonight.
