10HIGH LIGHT STAR [5]Res.25735FSHL Dalton (Coldstream)

Come On Fantasy meets some highly promising speedsters tonight but if she reproduces the effort which saw her win at in 30.08 she will be more than competitive. On that occasion she recorded a very zippy 5.06 to the first marker and she has shown to begin a lot better when drawn out wide. With slow beginners drawn on either side she should get a fairly clear passage early and if she finds the bunny she will prove very hard to gun down.

Weston East set the track alight here last Sunday when posting a 29.36 win and he appears to be getting better with every run. The only concern with him is that he had missed the kick in his two previous starts and he can't afford to make any mistakes tonight. No Ransom has a good record here and he hit the line strongly when placed behind the in form Jayney Bale here last week. The box draw hasn't done him any favours but he is likely to settle back in the field anyway, so as long he gets a few gaps mid race he should be right in the mix. Esparza will be well supported and she is highly promising, however she is drawn poorly out wide and she is likely to find bother early.

8BIG KAT [4]4632142.13(3)C Schlensog (Anakie)

I know I sound like a broken record but going with Dyna Perseus again tonight. This week he is drawn much closer to the inside and with the empty draw underneath he should get a fairly clear passage into the first bend. Four starts ago he posted a sizzling 42.08 win here and he is a super talent when he lands on the bunny. There is a little more depth in this week's event so you might be able to land $3 or a little better.

Shall She Rock is very consistent and she has won two of her past four at The Meadows in fine style and in addition to that she has a record of two wins from five tries here. She is likely to settle mid field but she is very strong in the run to the line and she only needs an ounce of luck in running to feature. Big Kat returned to the winners list with a strong 39.42 win last week and she is well placed in the pink draw, she rises in class a little tonight but she runs out the journey well and she must be included in your exotic bets. Starc has been a little disappointing since scoring here in 42.10 in September, however he does have enough early speed to lead and that may help him regain some confidence.

Glock has tasted success for a little while now but from the red tonight he should get every chance to taste success. He normally gets back in his races, however he does possess a lot of pace once he hits the ground, so with a clean getaway tonight there is every chance he could hold them out at the first bend. He is a super talent when he gets out into open space and I think he is just about a moral to score tonight.

Sisco Rage is back to his brilliant best and he looked super impressive when scoring here last week in 34.36, after beginning slowly he showed a tremendous turn of foot and he put them to the sword as they headed off the back straight. From the middle pin he will need a few things to go his way but his confidence is up and I expect him to turn in a big performance. Pure Mayhem was never headed in his 34.48 heat win and if he finds the bunny early he should give a great sight again, I'm convinced that he runs a strong 595m but if they shuffle up behind him he may just steal the prize. Nureyev is a great dog to plonk for third and fourth in your exotics, he will get back early but he hits the line hard and he is never far away.

The excitement machine Azza Azza Azza is finally making his Metropolitan debut and I think he will be able to see out the extra distance. He is explosive early and if he handles the first turn he should give the sectional records a solid nudge. He is obviously going to get a little tired in the run home but I think he should have built up a big enough gap mid race to hold on.

Dyna Villa is well placed in the pink draw and he is unbeaten in four tries here. If he steps cleanly he should be able to put some pressure on the favourite mid race and in the closing stages, he will need some luck early but with a clean getaway his natural speed will allow him to cross. Airbound is a great place prospect in this event, he is going to get a long way back early but this race features a number of front runners and he should be able to pick them off late in the race. Duchess Bale has the good draw but my concern with her is that she is an on the bunny dog and I can't see her holding them out tonight.

Tough race but I think the in form Blurred Lines can get the job done. He has been showing early speed in his races of late and with a clean getaway I can't see anything in this field holding him out in the run to the first turn. Three starts ago he beat Allen Deed in a heat of the Adelaide Cup and I can see him getting down to around the 29.30 mark if he finds the bunny in the early stages.

Dyna Alchemist scored a commanding 25.65 Geelong win recently and he didn't have much luck in the Cup final a week later. He scored a brilliant 29.44 win here in his only try and he has a ridiculous turn of foot soon after box rise. Nockabout Aussie is so hard to follow but he is never far away over this trip and he will be charging home at the business end of proceedings, if the gaps open at the right time he is more than capable of scoring. Ollie Bale rounds out the chances, he is a little down on confidence but he has the red tonight and that should allow him to settle a little closer to the speed.

Dyna Yemen is an explosive youngster and his effort when placed in a heat of the Geelong Cup was enormous. In that event he bombed the start but picked himself up and powered to the line before going down narrowly to the classy Hallelujah Henry. Tonight he should be able to find the rail soon after the start and he should make a strong move mid race. This is his toughest test to date but I think this bloke can be a major player during the carnival.

Ritza Hattie has returned to racing in great fashion and she smashed a handy line-up at Wentworth Park last time in 29.80. She has won two of four here with a sizzling 29.37 PB, if she reproduces that type of run she will take a power of beating. Top Secret is another who is in great form and I would expect him to lead for a long way, over this journey his last 40m is always a struggle but he will set a cracking pace and he should have a good break mid race. Crusade Marjen is the interesting runner, he is blessed with a heap of talent but his box manners have really let him down in recent weeks.

Size Does Matter is a freak talent and he just about looks a moral from the rails alley. He has won seven of eight from this pin and his effort when placed here last week was massive. After missing the kick, all he wanted to do was find the rail and once he found it that's when he was at his best. There isn't much speed on his outer so as long as he comes out on terms he should have enough natural speed to hold them out.

Peloton Bale was far from disgraced when placed behind My Bro Fabio here last week and he should be running on strongly again. The box draw isn't great but it shouldn't matter too much as he generally settles back in the field. Iva Vision is a gun Queenslander and he recently captured the Two SA Derby, if he handles the track at his first look he should make the favourite work a little for victory. Access is the value in the event, he has the speed to lead and he has won here previously in a slick 29.43. With a clean getaway he could give a nice sight at odds.

Lamia Bale turned in a career best performance when placed behind Banjo Boy here recently and from the red draw tonight she should get every chance to lead throughout. In her recent placing here she went sub 29.50 and I think on the bunny tonight she should be capable of going a little faster. If you can snag around $2.60 or better, that is great value.

Buckle Up Mason is super consistent and he is still racing very well. He is yet to win from the pink draw but there isn't much speed underneath him tonight so he should get a fairly clear passage initially. Placid Planet is the interesting runner, he has scored some breathtaking wins at Albion Park in his brief career to date, however he runs very wide in his races so I think he may need a run or two at this venue. Cornelius Fudge could be good value the place, he gets a long way back initially but he works his way through a field nicely and he tends to do his best racing here.

Marcus Joe is a track specialist and he is drawn to make every post a winner. Back in August he pinged the lids and recorded brilliant sectionals throughout when winning here in 29.46 and a similar effort tonight would see him score with ease. There is a bit of speed drawn on his outside but he has a great turn of foot and he should be able to hold them out.

Crackerjack Dak is unbeaten in four starts here and if he steps cleanly he should make a big impact. He does his best racing when on the bunny but if he lands on the back of Marcus Joe he can still give a great sight. Dyna Ostrander could be the value in the event, he is armed with a ridiculous turn of foot and with a clear passage early he should find himself in a prominent position as they head through the first turn. Grand Legacy is absolutely flying on the provincial circuit and although this is a big rise in class he is more than capable of sneaking into the placings. He has raced well against similar opposition at The Meadows earlier in the year and he must be included in your exotics.

Du Plessis returned to form recently with a strong and fast 30.84 Ballarat win and he is ideally placed in the pink draw. This is his first try at this journey but his littermates have been flying over this distance range of late, I expect that he will find the early lead and he should build up a nice lead mid race. Obviously the last 50m is going to be a worry but at the odds I'm willing to take the chance.

Shot To Bits is going to start a short priced favourite but his two most recent efforts have been quite poor. From the red he may be able to settle in a more prominent position early and he may be able to gain some confidence if he settles closer to the lead. Untraceable led for a long way at The Meadows last week over 725m and he should be in the mix for a long way again, this is a much weaker lineup than the field he met at The Meadows and he should play a prominent role. Leprechaun Macey is resuming from nearly a year off and she is in good hands, watch for any significant betting moves.

Agent Jack is a freak talent and he recently set the track alight with a dazzling 29.27 win here over the 515m journey. He is normally a good beginner and with the lack of speed drawn underneath him he should be able to find the early lead. With a 34.18 PB over this trip it is very hard to see him being run down if he happens to land on the bunny.

Sonic Pirate is a faultless beginner and he has turned in some excellent performances over this journey of late, he tends to get a little tired in the run home but if they shuffle up underneath him early he may just build up a race winning lead. Echelonic Action is the run on dog in the event, he can be very hit or miss early but he will hit the line hard and he must be included in your exotic bets. Smart Maxwell just keeps on winning at present and he is a major player if he can get away cleanly. The draw doesn't help but he is in career best form and he may be worth a bet if he goes around at silly odds.

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 – 10.58pm

Papa Hook has been racing in tremendous fashion at Warragul of late and he deserves a crack in town. He is normally a fair beginner but he musters pace at a ridiculous rate. With a wide runner drawn on his outer he should get plenty of room early and he should lead them as they head into the first turn.

Waymore Blues is a gun and he should appreciate the drop in class. He can be very hit or miss early but he is explosive when he finds the bunny. Five starts ago he scored a sizzling 23.82 win and he also caught the eye when placed here last week. Polly Bale is well drawn out wide and she is showing plenty of promise. She would need to ping and lead to win but she did record two top placings here of late from this draw, so she must be respected. Strange Wish has a great record here and he must be included in your exotic bets, he struggles to win these days but he is never far away.
