Buck Fever Awarded Australia’s Run Of The Month October 2011

AGRA's for October 2011 has been awarded to lightly raced New South Wales sprinter . The youngster at only his third race start brilliantly set new figures for the 450 metres at on October 10.

Buck Fever is a member 's hot litter out of Brett Lee x Kiacatoo Pearl. Buck Fever continued their sizzling run of form when he shaved .13 seconds off the Bathurst 450metre .

A litter brother to winner Gundabooka, and 530 metre track recorder holder Moonshine Sally, Buck Fever cemented his own piece of history in recording the 25.47, winning by 10 ¾ lengths.

The win comes just three months after the trained Rima set the 450 metre record at 25.60.

The black dog got away from the boxes only moderately, however was able to push under early leader Grovebrook King through the pen before cutting loose on the bunny.

“We think he will find further, his run home was unreal and hopefully he will continue in this fashion over more ground,” Pringle said.

Buck Fever is a Black Dog whelped December 2009 by Brett Lee from Kiacatoo Pearl (History Lesson x Naughty Thoughts) he is raced and trained by David Pringle at Clergate in New South Wales. He has raced three times for one win and a second and his overall stake earnings stand at $555.

As usual there were some outstanding runs recorded in October but Buck Fever got the verdict for his outstanding performance at Bathurst at only his third start in a race.

AGRA congratulates owner – trainer David Pringle and Buck Fever on being judged the AGRA Run of the Month for October 2011. He joins the previous winners for 2011. Bekim Bale, , Punk Warrior, He Knows Uno (2), Symmetry, , stayer Bobby Boucheau and Queenslander Bogie King.
