Since that first win at Cannington she has won six races over the 642 and another six over including the heat and final of the state .

Red Shilling goes into next week's national final as the greyhound to beat as no dog is racing better over the 715 at Cannington than the red fawn bitch by Big Daddy Cool.

Red Shilling's former owner Meadows CEO Marg Long will certainly have a soft spot for her former stayer in the National final as Marg has been delighted to see her racing so well for her West Australian owner and trainer .

Red Shilling is a Red Fawn bitch whelped November 2006 by Big Daddy Cool from Bent Penny (Carlisle Jack x Ebony Rose). She is raced by Marcus Tong and trained by Troy Iwanyk. She has now raced on 37 occasions for 18 wins and 7 placings and the $12,000 first prize for the state Final of the Distance Championship took her overall stake earnings to $70,520.

With no racing at all in August it was another competitive month, however Red Shilling's consistent winning form each week of the month got her the nod over many others to be adjudged the winner the monthly award.
