King Renard took out the 1949 Wyong Straight Track Championship, scoring by six lengths over Silver Penny with Lady a half length away third.

West Australian puppy Mister Toewyte defeated Honey Gazelle and Nola's Copy to take out the 1977 over 530 metres at for owner-trainer Marge Davey.

3rd

A new track opened at Wauchope in 1971. Racing had previously been conducted at the Wauchope Showgrounds between 1953 and March 1971.

Fuelled Fantasy set a new track record time of 31.17 for 544 metres at Cairns in 2011. Fuelled Fantasy nine months earlier had set a new track record for 410 metres, running 23.40.

Hi There Kid defeated Gallant Eagle to win the 1985 South Australian Champion Puppy Classic (also known as the Colin Viney Memorial), running 30.45 for the 512-metre trip at .

became the first greyhound to win successive Winter Carnival Cup finals (520 metres, Albion Park) when he took out the 2013 event. Glen Gallon scored by four and a quarter lengths from Top Story and Xylia Allen, running a new race record 29.80.

A four-dog match race was run over 710 metres at Albion Park in 2007 between Ellie's Diamond, Miss Brook, Miss Grub, and Sky Hazzard. The Victorian stayer Sky Hazzard defeated Miss Grub by a length in 42.13.

took out the 2008 Winter Stake final (520 metres, Wentworth Park), defeating and . The final had been delayed by a week due to refurbishment at Wentworth Park.

In 1937 Sentinel won his last race, the 500 yards (457 metres) Championship at , running a new track record time of 29.6. This clipped 3/10ths off the 29.9 track record he had set two weeks earlier. The track record had been reduced from 30.1 to 29.6 in the previous four weeks. Sentinel would race twice more, failing on both occasions, before being finally retired at over five years of age.

Noted strong finisher Goldent annexed the 1964 Queensland Distance Championship at Beenleigh. Goldent scored by eight lengths from Victorian stayer Shan's Blossom, running the 840 yards (768 metres) in 46.4. Goldent was found to have a broken tail after the race.

7th

Pied Rebel took out the 1969 over 580 yards (530 metres) at Beenleigh, winning by five lengths from Special Bin and Bon Joe and running 31.0.

Real Sapphire took out the 1979 Lord Mayor's Cup, run over 530 metres at Wentworth Park, running 31.07 to set a new race record, eclipsing the previous mark of 31.1 set in 1972.

8th

Champion South Australian stayer Bayroad Queen was forced into retirement in 1982 when she shattered a hock when unplaced in a race run over 731 metres at Angle Park. Bayroad Queen had won 24 of her 35 race starts (six placings) and was the first to break 44 seconds at Angle Park.

Toolibuk won the 2000 Cairns Cup over 544 metres running 31.52 to set a new track record, breaking the previous mark set in 1996. Going Easy finished second, with Ngarutao third.
