Dyna Villa puts his best paws forward and thunders to victory

has proven once and for all he is a genuine star of the sport, taking out the 2015 One at .

Stepping cleanly from box eight, the sleek black speed machine quickly found his feet, accelerating in the run to the first turn and crossing swiftly to the rails as he raced through the catching pen.

's Assertive Bella (box one) could not match his blinding pace, but managed to hold on to second position heading into the back straight with Kerrigan Bale (box two) sitting third.

Racing past the 720-metre boxes and Dyna Villa broke away from his competitors, setting up a massive gap between him and Assertive Bella.

Around the home turn Dyna Villa was well clear and although he got a little weary, he was simply too good for the rest of the high-class field, scoring by two-and-a-quarter lengths in an airborne 29.69.

Assertive Bella ran a massive race to finish second with Kerrigan Bale filling the trifecta in third.

Dana Villa, the reigning champion, is trained in Victoria by Jenny Hunt and has won 19 races from 30 career outings.

The October 2012 son of and Roxio Bale, owned by Brendan Wheeler, has already banked $629,990 during his short career and there is no reason he can't go close to breaking the all-time prizemoney record held by Xylia Allen ($743,730) in the not-too-distant future.
