Late Night Racing Lights Up Lismore Greyhounds

A six week trial of TAB racing at kicks off this Saturday (12 January 2013) with a high quality 10-race card taking place.

Participants have shown their support for the new late night racing concept, with Greyhound () receiving more than 140 nominations for Saturday's meeting.

Headlining the action on the track is boom greyhound Scissor Queen who is aiming for her 12th consecutive win in the second race of the night.

The trial of late night racing will be held over consecutive Saturday nights at Lismore concluding on 16 February 2013.

GRNSW Chief Executive said the main purposes of the trial were to gauge participant and punter interest in the late night meetings.

“To get such a large number of nominations for Saturday's meeting is fantastic and indicates that participants in the Northern Rivers region of NSW are supportive of the late night racing concept.

“We will also evaluate the support the late night meetings receive, which is critical to race fields revenue generated by the meetings,” Mr Hogan said.

The first race on Saturday will jump at 9.13pm, with the final race to be run just before midnight at 11.57pm. The first five races will be shown on 2, with the remaining five races to be televised on Sky Racing 1.
