Miss Elly Mint Will Attempt To Make It 16 Wins In A Row Saturday Night
After equalling the Australian record for consecutive TAB class or better wins at The Gardens back on Friday 16th January 2009, Miss Elly Mint will attempt to break the record when she starts at this Saturday night.

Miss Elly Mint will go for the record in Race 8, the Free For All Stake over 520 metres, which is due to start at 9:50pm

By winning at The Gardens, Miss Elly Mint took her record of consecutive wins at TAB level to 15; an effort which saw her equal 1980's champion Kate's A Scandal's record of consecutive wins, and also equal Tassie champion True Vintage's record.

To make her acheivement even more noteworthy, she has managed to keep her stellar winning record intact at the highest levels, including winning metropolitan class Free For All races and the 2009 Group 2 Gosford Gold Cup.

If able to win on Saturday night, Miss Elly Mint willl still have a few wins to go to claim Australia's all time consecutive win record (including racing) which goes the way of Far Queensland chaser Tropical One, who steered his way to 24 wins in a row. All Tropical One's consecutive wins were at one track, at Cairns and all were over the one 401 metre distance.

Boxed in a favourable box 2 draw at Wentworth Park, Miss Elly Mint will need to show her usual dash from the boxes if she is to take the record, as Richard Dean's is boxed well in box 3.

The 2009 consolation winner was beaten by Miss Elly Mint in the Gosford Gold Cup Heats but then went on to win the consolation in a quicker time than Miss Elly Mint ran winning the Final. A last start best of night 30.02 winner at Wentworth Park last Saturday night, Radio Star is sure to make Miss Elly Mint work hard for the record.

Australian Racing Greyhound wish owner and trainer every success in breaking the record Saturday night with their champion bitch and will be closely tuned to at 9:50pm to see history in the making.
