NSW Stewards Adjourn Robert Whitelaw Inquiry

Greyhound Racing NSW today commenced a show cause hearing into the conduct of registered trainer Mr Robert Whitelaw in relation to comments attributed to him in various media outlets in December 2012.

Mr Whitelaw addressed Stewards in respect of the alleged comments and was also questioned regarding the withdrawal of the greyhound Maggies A Legend from the Wentworth Park meeting on 14 December 2012.

Mr Whitelaw was assisted in the hearing by solicitor Mr Dennis English.

The hearing was adjourned to a date to be fixed in order that Mr Whitelaw produce further documentation relevant to the investigation.

In the particular circumstances of this case, the bar on acceptance of nominations of greyhounds in Mr Whitelaw’s care has been lifted.
