Topper Toretto the fastest qualifier for Dapto Puppy Classic

TOPPER Toretto will be the one to beat in next week's 2 (520m) after a sizzling performance in his semi-final of the $75,000 to the winner series on Thursday night.

Heading into semi-final three, Brett Bravo's Benteke was all the rage from box four. The former NSW chaser was returning to the track, where he holds a 29.75 personal best, for the first time since April, however when the lids flew open the black dog was poorly into stride.

Getting a nice run down the outside of the pack was Too Good Thommo (box eight) which was able to assume the lead running through the catching pen, with Benteke slipping into third spot after finding trouble.
