set tongues wagging at on Thursday night, recording a breathtaking 29.66 win in the first of four heats of the .

Starting from box two, the brindle dog was fairly into stride and was able to show good burn in the run to the line on the first occasion, booting underneath NSW visitor Rapid Dominance (box three) to .

Once out in front it was a case of times and margins, with the son of Where's Pedro and Unfinished cruising to the line to score by five lengths over Lucky Sally (box four), with French Idol (box five) a further one and a half lengths behind in third.

Trained by Tony Brett, Thirty Talks has now won 12 of his 15 career starts, with the 36 kilogram powerhouse now having won his past six appearances including a dominant victory in the $100,000 to the winner 2 Riches final on May 28.

Ultra-consistent speedster Fabulous Bill was sent to the boxes as the punter's elect in the second heat, coming into the race with three wins from his past four outings. Stepping well from box four, the black dog was able to show dazzling pace to the lead in the early stages and was off and gone as the remainder of the field jammed up around the first turn.

Left alone out in front and Fabulous Bill was in a race of his own, with the son of and Regal Silver stretching out beautifully in the run to the line to score by a widening 11 and one quarter lengths in a nippy 29.96.

Gelantipy Gold (box seven) was able to run on for second place, with Trip To Eden (box three) putting in an eye catching run when finishing third at his debut over the track and trip.

Egyptian Miss (box two) was the first to go in the third heat of the Classic, but was soon challenged by Smashniak Taser (box one) and Fabulous Hope (box three), with things getting very tight in the run around the first turn.

Fabulous Hope was able to come out on top after the scrimmage, booting clear of Bye Bye (box six) in the run into the back straight, with Smashniak Taser and Issy Cool (box seven) back in third and fourth respectively.

Approaching the 600m boxes and Bye Bye raced up on the outside of Fabulous Hope, with the two chasers going stride for stride turning for home, however Issy Cool began making ground quickly, slipping between the leading pair entering the home straight before drawing clear to record a five length win over Boom Warrior (box four) in 30.31.

Leading conditioner Tony Brett was out to qualify his second runner through to next Thursday's $25,000 to the winner final with Split Image lining up for the Grandchester mentor in the fourth heat.

A litter sister to Thirty Talks, Split Image sprinted straight to the early lead when the lids flew open and was never in doubt, racing to the post five and a half lengths in front of Wings Of Perlita (box six) in 29.97.

Split Image, the winner of this years Group 2 Maiden, has now won four of her 11 starts with a further five minor placings.

The Listed Classic will be run and won at Albion Park next Thursday night.
