Thursday’s Brisbane Quaddie Starts Near $34,000

Thursday night's Quadrella carryover at Albion Park has reached an enormous $33,779 and it will be a very hard task to ‘crack'.

The ‘Quaddie' on races five, six, seven and eight is sure to entice the punters this Thursday night at the Breakfast Creek-based Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club.

In Race Five, the fifth grade Give Me Five at Stud 520m, Gidgee Glider has drawn box one, and will be a top contender alongside Velocity Trish and Tombstone Jack.

Gidgee Glider, trained by , showed top form in her second to top sprinter Robo Raptor last Thursday night running only two-lengths behind the 30.03 run.

Again wearing the red, Gidgee Glider seems to be improving each week and against a more equally matched field should be up there.

In box three, Velocity Trish will also be very competitive with her smart best time of 30.27 from Brisbane Cup night in December, and if she can jump may find the lead to the first turn.

's Tombstone Jack should also be thrown in to the mix boasting a sharp best time of 30.17 from October last year, and coming off the back of a solid win last in Brisbane.

Furthermore, Tombstone Jack boasts a very impressive record in Brisbane of eight starts for four wins and one second.

The second leg is the fifth grade Garrards 520m race, which should be a very interesting start.

The top rated have drawn boxes five, six and seven and this may cause some trouble in the early stages and on the difficult first turn.

's Ruff It should come out on top in the betting despite it being his first start on the track, having run consistently in his past four starts at , Wentworth Park, and Ipswich, respectively.

Another first starter in brisbane is box six's Jarrah's Rocket, who has shown form in and will try her luck in the City.

Gary Gilbert's Now Go Beyond is also a chance, being up in the mix on numerous occasions and boasting a sound record of nine starts for two wins and two placings over the distance.

The fifth grade 520m is the third leg (Race Seven) and will see a show down between rivals Velocity Force, Visualisation and .

Velocity Force has drawn box one for trainer Tony Brett and is almost certain to finish in the top three with a racing CV showing 13 starts over the distance at Brisbane for eight wins, three seconds and two thirds. This also includes a best time of 29.94 in September last year.

However, Explosive Impact will be a force to be reckoned with from box four showing plenty of ability in recent starts.

Visualiszation is also sure to be up there having run only two lengths behind Happy Clown's 29.98 win last Thursday.

The last leg of the night is also from the 520m boxes with a fourth and fifth grade sponsored by Brandons Electrical.

Classy sprinter Robo Raptor will take on the ever improving Happy Clown, and it seems this will be a two dog race.

Robo Raptor, who is jumping from box three, is lining up for a third straight win and showed great early speed last Thursday of 5.72.

However, Happy Clown shocked onlookers last Thursday to post the best time of the night of 29.98 from box eight. Happy Clown will jump from box four.
