2012 Adelaide Cup Heats This Thursday Night

Eight heats of the Triple M Adelaide Cup have been drawn for this Thursday night’s (4th October) meeting at Angle Park. GRSA received 65 final nominations for the Group 1 series with 34 from South Australia, 29 from Victoria, 1 from Queensland and 1 from New Zealand.

The Interstate contingent is led by exciting Group performer Heston Bale who is one of sixteen Andrea Dailly representatives in the heats.

She also has last start SA Derby winner Spud Regis engaged that will be looking to continue his winning run at Angle Park after sweeping the Derby series.

The heats also include Group 1 winner Zara Zulu, Warnambool Cup winner El Brooklyn, Canberra Cup winner Mepunga Geordie, last start Sister Cities Cup winner from Queensland Bogie King and New Zealander Another Dollar who has remained in SA after last weeks Sister Cities Cup.

Local nominations include SA National Sprint winner Aston Thomas for Troy Murray and SA Oaks winner Hope’s Up for Cameron Butcher.

The Triple M Adelaide Cup Final carries total prizemoney of $107,500, with the winner to receive $75,000. With eight heats each winner will progress through to the Group 1 Final on Thursday 11th October.
