There were five exciting heats conducted last night in front of good crowd at for the 3 Pet's Tucker all looking too qualify for this Sunday's $38,500 Final.

The heats were dominated by the Troy Murray kennel taking out four of the five heats and he now looks to have a strangle hold on this Sunday's final.

The first heat was taken out by Aston Thomas for Murray who qualified the fastest for the final running a 30.69 for the 531m journey leading throughout, defeating the Don Foster trained Rawson Reason who was gallant in defeat going down by 2 lengths.

Heat three was another victory for Murray with outsider Aston Usain leading for most of the trip in a solid 31.11 defeating the trained Pea Shooter by ¾ lengths. Both favorites for this heat in Random Test and Crazy Heart didn't enjoy the best of luck in running and ended up finishing third and fourth respectively and missing a spot in the final.

He was able to run home solidly to claim victory in a slick 30.98 defeating Victorian Watch Out Pete for trainer Geoff Mitchell by 1¼ lengths who also ran home nicely.

The final heat was taken out by the exciting Kalden Aurora again for Murray giving him four greyhounds into the final. She didn't begin that well and also looked in real trouble mid race however she showed her class to run down for Murray Harvey in the shadows of the post and claim victory by 1¼ lengths in a handy 31.08.
