GRV Encourages Gaming Reform
The Premier, John Brumby yesterday announced a new structure for Gaming in Victoria beyond 2012.
Also resulting from these reform initiatives is a single, stand-alone license which will be offered for Wagering post 2012. The current Wagering license is run by Tabcorp.
Hence, from a Wagering perspective, there are a number of reports that will need to be digested by the codes of the Victorian Racing Industry (VRI).
Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is greatly enthused by the innovative nature of the new structure and in particular the Governments desire to put in place funding arrangements which are no less favourable to the VRI.
GRV looks forward to playing its role in providing advice to Government about the wagering license awarding process. That transitional process began today.
