Len Ketalaar’s Grand Ambition

Granduer upstaged his litter-mate Echelon to claim the fastest win in the heats of the 1 at Park tonight.

Trained by Len Ketelaar for fellow Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association director Charlie Bates, Granduer broke through for his first win in seven starts at the Lightwood Road venue, defeating recent Group 3 winner Bling It On by 2¾ lengths in 41.84 seconds.

In the earlier heat, Echelon claimed his third win in as many starts, finishing over top of Zipping Lad to win by 1¾ lengths in 42.03.

Slick Lee finished third, and will line up in his 14th Group final at start number 100 in Thursday night's $75,000 final.
